I can see it burning that poor fellow badly. Thats sensitive skin thats never been exposed to tabasco before, the sensation could be overwhelming. After all, dont people mix that stuff to make their own pepper spray? Its not as effective as the real deal, but it still works. As for didi.... yeah. Unless he still had a huge coating of it, there is no reason for her to react that way. Of course, I may be biased as i use jalapenos for flavor, and habanero/scotch bonnet for heat. But even if she does have a very low tolerance, tobasco just isnt that spicy. Its about as low as you can go on the scovil chart and still have it register. A little residue shouldnt have done more than warm her lips and make them tingle.

Yeah, but there is a reason you see tabasco at some restaurants on the table with the salt and pepper and not something like franks hot sauce. It is about as mild as it gets, and is used for flavor more than heat. Im not denying that it could be spicy to someone with a low tolerance, im just saying the reaction on didis part was a bit too extreme.

That they're oblivious to what Tabasco is would be enough to complain about in its own right, but that's not really my focus. My focus here is the bloody artist being ignorant of what Tabasco actually is, is like, or feels like. Granted I don't expect them to be shaking every substance on their genitals that they'd show in the comic, but I expect them to at least be passably familiar with common household items and what they're like and be able to understand that no, Tabasco would not apply in that way.

Putting aside the fact that I don't have any idea what tabasco, mustard, vinegar, tube cleaner and various other items would do to my genitals (and if I was making a humorous comic I would take the most funny possible result) it still doesn't hold up to your claim that making either the artist or the characters seem ignorant would apply to all Canadians. So by watching Married with children I should conclude all US American shoe sellers are pathetic poor unhygienic fellows? Or all Chicago citizens? Well, I'll just take it for a poor choice of words.

Never seen it around here, though perhaps it might be named differently. Can't really name any common sauces I know of that are remotely spicy.

Yeah, until Yuki starts being any kind of reasonable, I don't hold Gary to any kind of bond here. I mean, yes, it would be good of his and Yuki's relationship if he did try to stay faithful, but I don't think he and Yuki have enough to claim that he should.

I think it's more about media rating system and social bias - breasts are more or less tolerated, while specific bits below the waist (for both genders) are a no-no and showing those bits at work is right out. Not showing them means less problems for the authors. For historical reference read up on Pubic Wars.
