And Mindfreak, when you continue with the Umbrella plot in the apartment buildings, do you mind posting that Inside? You've hinted at how the zombies are likely to spread, so I think it'd be a good idea as more people read Inside than Home and that way no one is surprised when it happens.

That said, if anyone has a plot that they expect or want Remnant to respond to, please, send me a PM or say something OOC. I can't be everywhere at once, but I'll definitely try to send something your way, even if it's another Remnant player.

He's just an NPC I whipped up. If you don't want him to have ever asked the Empire for a grant, I can retcon that, I just figured you'd be okay with it since he was obviously denied and was really just there to die.

I feel like I should clarify something for the scene at Trog’s, I never actually said the second woman died, only that she fell ‘flat on the ground’, unconscious yes, bleeding heavily more than likely, but not dead . . . yet. And with the third being ‘just as dead’ . . . what I’m trying to say is the ragged fourth is trying to set up an ambush.

I really should take more care to make things more noticeable, I’ll be posting something about it IC after a few other people post, though nothing might actually come of it as in another page or so I’m thinking about introducing the younger time-cop version of her at which point the (conscious) others will likely run, because that young cop is no fun.

Time does that here. Don't worry about it. It can be confusing at times, but you'll get used to it.

I did. I was sort of waiting on Psiclone to post if Torment's soul manipulations were working, but that seems unlikely at this point. I'll post soon.

Zefir, Bladescape, I feel it's only fair to warn you that if Turiel and Fade try to infiltrate Riv's fortress, in all probability they will end up dead or worse. Seeing as they've utterly failed to be stealthy, the entire fortress is now on high alert, which means there are now around a hundred soldiers between them and Riv.

The only problem these guads bring is that they seem to be very powerful. Just imagine that one is throwing bolts than can disrupt EVERY magic, what will the Elite guy do than? To be fair this sounds like you don't want Riv to die so why did you even accept them hunting him?

Honestly, I wouldn't say the villagers are really that tough. Out of a crowd of twenty, three have weapons, and two have magic that's actually useful in a fight. I wouldn't say being able to toss an anti-magic bolt that dispells whatever the first thing it hits is that powerful.

However, the elites in the fortress are indeed a hell of a lot more powerful. And seeing as both Fade and Turiel can apparently make themselves immune to bullets, the first thing that Riv's goons will do is drop an anti-magic field on the two assassins.

When I said okay to MURDER attempting to assassinate Riv, I was expecting the killers to actually plan it out and use stealth. I also made it clear that it would be a very difficult mission and that failure would mean death. And due to Fade and (mostly) Turiel's mistakes, failure is now highly probable.

Meh. I honestly despise anti-magic, but it's sort of a necessary evil. If characters are powerful enough to murder an entire army with their super-magical-cosmic-powah! there's gotta be a way to counter that. Otherwise an entire faction goes up in smoke. I do try not to use it unless absolutely necessary though, as it's basically a "render character irrelevant" card.

As for hiking trips, maybe the Weald?

Speaking of which, I did appreciate that antimagic net being escapable. It would have been easy to just say no to Sarah trying to cut through it, but it made the incident that much more memorable.
