He's only part rogue. Heck, the Linear Guild technically has 3 rogues at the moment (Nale, Sabine, and Yukyuk), but for Nale and Yukyuk it seems to just be a dip.

Though I highly doubt Yukyuk will replace Belkar.

In 3.5 D&D, rangers can either specialize in dual wielding or bows, so there's nothing odd about Belkar's choice, and rogues don't have any leaning towards daggers AFAIK. (I'm guessing video games are the reason people always ask this question about Haley and Belkar.)

    Fixed the spelling :)

Well, while I'd prefer Belkar to stick around, technically Yukyuk is a Ranger/Rogue just as Thog is a Barbarian/Fighter, Belkar is a Ranger/Barbarian, Elan is a Bard/Dashing Swordsman, and Nale is a Fighter/Rogue/Sorcerer.

WoW does popularize the Rogue with dual daggers, but Rogue with daggers for backstab bonuses has been around since 1st edition, so associating them is partly valid. Meanwhile classically the Elven Ranger has always been an archer and classically Rangers were archers in earlier editions of D&D, but they evolved over time due to trying to make both classes more versatile and updating them to not be lesser classes, as both used to be considered Secondary Classes to the Fighter (Combat), Wizard/Sorcerer (Spellcasting), Priest (Healer), and worse yet the Overpowered Paladin (Combat/Healer with free mount and magic weapon and power to defeat undead, among other things)

So has anyone addresed the issue of Thog possibly have more than one rage per day? Although his reaction to his rage ending shows that he might have used these all during his time rageing

He probably has three or four rages per day, but he can only rage once per encounter.

Ah, I see. So does the falling of the ceiling end the encounter? Could he rage again in a later point of time, like 3 rounds after him being crushed? I guess that depends on the Giant.

Thog vs. Roy is over, so now it's Thog vs Collapsed Ceiling?

So ya, in short, whether or not Tarquin lets Thog live or die depends on if the crowd is pleased with this as his end.
This is what divinations and illusions are for: it would be cheaper and more fun to 'show' the crowd what happened.

My guess is, Thog lives *unless* Nale dies. Nale dying is unlikely; his presence (and Elan not telling Tarquin) should get Tarquin and Malak convined that the twins are scheming together against the Kingdom of Blood.

(oh, for whoever was asking who's the 3rd: Thog, X and Yukyuk have all been removed from the action, leaving Sabine and Nale as the only enemy combatants on the field).
    Nothing to see here, citizen...

I seriously doubt Thog is gone.

However, if he did, he died defending the honour of puppies from that evil, evil man. THOG IS A TRAGIC HERO.

Next up: Roy (black warrior man, and evil-aligned enemy of puppies) vs Amun-Zora (black warrior woman, good-aligned).

It took me a while to get the point of the Zz'dtri panel. Roy said he was going to prolong the fight in order to keep Tarquin distracted from the Linear Guild, and now he thinks they were defeated so he can end his fight with Thog.

Considering he was about to escape the arena in #798, I wonder if he's still going to take that job offer from Tarquin.

Is there a reason why Roy taunted Thog to charge? More damage to break the columns?

Oooo, I was wondering about that. There's a catch, though - Zz'dtri is in custody now; if Tarquin knows he's with Nale, he can squeeze that information out of the drow.

That seems to be the main reason. I also think he was making sure Thog wouldn't notice Z getting dragged off.

If it were that easy to dodge out of Thog's attacks Roy wouldn't look so bad. Thog is a very skilled combatant who has no trouble to hit what he aims at

Maybe Thog didn't die. As Nale said, if you aren't seen dying on-screen, then you're not dead. We saw Thog in the same panel as a huge pile of rubble, but if his eyes didn't go X, which we didn't see, he could very well escape.
