Re: The Index of the Giant's Comments
No worries, Porthos... the conversations don't seem to have gotten too carried away for the most part so hopefully it won't be a big deal to sort through it.

Re: The Index of the Giant's Comments
More reasonsing on why Word of Recall wasn't used.
Vampires can make a Move Action or a Standard Action while in sunlight under The Giant's interpetation of the rules.
The latter one I suspect is going to come up again and again given how much it is used as a counter-argument to the Word of Recall option.Last edited by Porthos; 2013-07-30 at 01:12 PM.

Re: The Index of the Giant's Comments
INDEX UPDATED
It should be completely up to date now. I included most of the suggestions, except for a handful that I thought were redundant, inappropriate, or just irrelevant."And yet, will we ever come to an end of discussion and talk if we think we must always reply to replies? For replies come from those who either cannot understand what is said to them, or are so stubborn and contentious that they refuse to give in even if they do understand." - St. Augustine

Re: The Index of the Giant's Comments
It occurred to me that i don't know which thread these comments are from, and that I would like to read the rest of the thread to get the context in which these comments are made. How do I do that?
EDIT: Thanks guys!Last edited by Syncrogti; 2013-08-02 at 04:49 PM.

Re: The Index of the Giant's Comments
I think I posted it and it was rejected. I remember posting something from the Nale's wand discussion and the ThePhantasm said it was redundant because of the quote about the wand already in the OP.

Re: The Index of the Giant's Comments
Actually I think you are referring to a different Giant quote:
I'm a bit confused on what exactly the Giant is supposedly saying in the quote martianmister linked to. Is he saying that Nale is smarter than Sabine always? Or just that he is smarter in this particular situation? It doesn't seem like a blanket statement about their intelligence."And yet, will we ever come to an end of discussion and talk if we think we must always reply to replies? For replies come from those who either cannot understand what is said to them, or are so stubborn and contentious that they refuse to give in even if they do understand." - St. Augustine

Re: The Index of the Giant's Comments
I think this is probably more suited for the Class and Level Geekery thread anyway. Smacks of triva to me more than anything else.

Nale's comment to Zzd'tri about the weather was what tipped Zzd'tri off to attack Malack

Re: The Index of the Giant's Comments
I thought it might have been a signal, but it could also have been another bit of private gloating about how Malack didn't have a clue what was coming (like "my most hated enemies are about to die while I watch"), and drinking the potion or throwing the staff was the signal.

Just a useful FYI, you can use this Google query to identify recent posts by The Giant.
You used to be able to go to Rich's profile to find his posts (via this link) but it appears that that search feature has been disabled, probably in order to keep costs down.

A game is a fictional construct created for the sake of the players, not the other way around. If you have a question "How do I keep X from happening at my table," and you feel that the out-of-game answer "Talk the the other people at your table" won't help, then the in-game answers "Remove mechanics A, B, and/or C, impose mechanics L, M, and/or N" will not help either.

Re: The Index of the Giant's Comments
No art mistakes here.
(Mr. Burlew is seriously the best. Doubt this "merits" inclusion, but just putting that out there.)I think I just failed a Spot check.

And while we're turning this into The Index of Gift Jeraff's Comments: why Durkon vs. Malack was chosen for the 9-day marathon. (Not sure if it merits inclusion, though.)
