So several threads back I mentioned that my wife and I were colaborating on a crossover Dresden files/Pony fanfic. Well the first draft is finally done, clocking on at just under 50K words of hardboiled wizard/detective meets pony.

As I mentioned previously, we need a few pre-readers who have not read the Dresden files novels to give it a look and give feedback. Basically we need to know if any of this makes sense if you haven't read the novels. (I've only read a couple and I can follow it fine, but still.)

Any other comments about character voice and such will help, I'm also a little unsure about our portrayal of Celestia and the overall plot. We want to get an outsider's view of it all to see if it hangs together.

Anyway, here we go.

I didn't, but I think a lot of others do. At least, judging from comments on YouTube and such, it seems a lot of ponies start out by watching it for the irony and sense of going against the norm (in an ironically conformist kind of way, given how big this has gotten )

Of course, that may very well develop into a genuine appreciation of the show and its community.

Yes, but I watch Avatar: The Last Airbender and read Naruto and One Piece. That's Problem of the Week, but there's a definite goal in mind and recurring secondary characters. In MLP, so far the only recurring secondary has been... Princess Celestia. Also, fighting.

I'd be interested, but I'm still not sure what I'll do about the game once released. I really need a console-style controller that can work on my computer to play a game like that on anything approaching a passable level, and I don't have one, don't know how to find one, and money would be an issue even if I did.
