Okay, singingnoodle? I've been mostly avoiding your posts, since they were, up until this one, harmless and in threads I haven't posted in. This one though, and any like it, violates the rules Nexus FFRP follows about godmodding.

I'm not sure whether you have read much before jumping right in, but before you continue I recommend reading FFRP central's opening post, and anything else you think would help clear up what you've done wrong here.

Some good advice in general to follow.

1. No godmodding. You can say what your character does, but not how others react to it without the player's permission. If you haven't asked for permission, then assume you don't have it. It is always up to the reacting player whether or not something happens to their character.

2. Always use locations tags in threads that require them. Most of the bars don't, but otherwise it can be assumed that you should be using them. It helps clear up where your character is at all times.

3. Try to use proper formatting. It goes a long way to make your posts readable if you don't mash words together and keep everything on one line.

4. Perhaps add more description to your posts. This helps others decide whether or not they want to react to a character you introduce. It isn't necessary, and I've seen people get by without it, but it is a big help to people who want to know more about a character than their gender and what instrument they're carrying before they post.

5. Read the OP of a thread you intend to post in. It always helps to have a clear idea of where you're putting a character when you post, and what Out of Character rules the thread follows. For example, The Gambling League of Gambling requires people to submit to a search and hand over all weapons before entering. Your character showed up in the middle of a show plucking a fiddle with no buildup. Similarly Mallside is a non-combat thread, as well as Temperance Teahouse. These are things you can only find out by reading the opening posts of those threads, which explain things in more detail than I can here.

6. Happyturtle's links. Happy has provided two links to the tools you need to get started with FFRP, including the stickied FFRP Central thread I mentioned earlier. Both of these are great guides for beginners, or things to touch up on if you're foggy on the rules.

7. Have fun with it. There are rules yes, but it's still Freeform. Let it suck you in and you'll have a ball.

If it happens somewhere near a house, Rocid will be there. He likes Moff and silliness enough to violate the enchantment on him for awhile to cause some havoc. Of course, he can't really show up at AMEN beforehand, so he'll probably just drop in when things get going.

I don't really have any appropriate targets, although I would have established some by now if a few of the scenes I'm deadtimed in would move on.

Sure. That's the sort of thing Karyana would be quite willing to do, since it's technically working for AMEN, and thus builds some trust of her there, but it's so unlikely to actually do any harm that it shouldn't cause problems for anyone else.

Kay. The brainwashing is basically addiction based, causing compulsive obedience to the church and it's priests. Wears off pretty quickly unless regularly reinforced. It starts very subtle, just making the listener more likely to return, listen a little more. Soon enough it reaches a full on dependency, causing people to experience magnified guilt and fear if they don't return to one of the churches at least once a week and euphoric happiness whenever they do. After enough time, the cultists fall under the mind-controls sway to the point where they can't even disobey the priests without feeling intense grief.

It's not "blaaarg, I CONTROL YOUR MIND" level stuff though. Commands can still be disobeyed with sufficient will and the worst it can really do is instill artificial emotions. So, standard cult brainwashing tactics with magic for extra effectiveness.

With a sudden gasp Rick sits bolt-upright in a small bed, his body aching as though he had been immobile for heaven knows how long. Was this his room? Had it all been a dream? A dream about some surreal magical place and a deal with a monster and some kind of-

"Master! It is not being a time for the sleepings!" comes a rather high-pitch, overly enthusiastic voice a good half second before a foot-long lizardy critter adheres itself to the boy's face. "We must be making for the adventures with post hasteness!"

This understandably causes Rick to flail his arms for a few moments before peeling the creature off and peering at it in the flickering fire-light. Small dark blue critter, lighter blue on the under-side. And an odd golden symbol engraved into its forehead. Two nubby golden horns poke out of its head with a matching pair on its shoulder-blades.

"I... you... but-" the lad manages to stammer.

"Master's word-sounds are jumbly!" the lizard observes.

"You're... Myrrh...? It wasn't all a dream then?"

"I am Myrrh! Pleased to be meeting you!"

The lad drops the lizard on the bed next to him and shakily rises to his feet whilst Myrrh attacks a trio of CERAMIC URNS that were most certainly not there previously.

"Smash crash crunchy-bunchy~!"

From the shattered clay remains a trio of cartoony HEARTS drift to the floor only to be gobbled up by the lizard! The lad suddenly feels a lot less wobbly!
