    Default A Very Creepy Christmas

So I've always loved creepy Christmas tales and wondering if there are any others to add to my small collection?

A Christmas Carol (Patrick Stewart version)
    Hogfather
    Nightmare Before Christmas
    Rare Exports

    Any others?

Edit: I've found lists online, but all they tend to be are B-level splashers that only count half the time because there is a Christmas tree in the background. Doesn't even include those above in the list.

Helping others is a good and noble cause, but sometimes the best way you can help them is by lending them a sword and telling them to go slay their own damned dragons.

The recent animated Disney version of "A Christmas Carol" wasn't too bad. I liked it anyway.

The Nutcracker story is actually pretty creepy. Not sure whether it's ever been put to film, though.

edit: Oh hey, there's a bunch.

You might be interested to know that it used to be a Christmas tradition to tell ghost stories. That's what A Christmas Carol is: a ghost story to be told at Christmas. I'm sure there must be collections of those stories somewhere...

M.R. James's Ghost Stories were written for that particular tradition, though I can't recall any particularly christmasy ones off the top of my head.

I was reminded of something today: a short story by Paul Jennings (I think) called Santa Claws. It was also made into an episode of Round the Twist, so you should be able to find it on Youtube or something.

Also the BBC had a show called A Ghost Story for Christmas. Never seen it, though, so can't say what it's like.

Huh, that first sounds interesting. And yeah, ran across that list... but most are pretty bad.

I can't believe we've come so far without mentioning Die Hard, and I truly believe that it is a Christmas movie, not just a movie set at Christmas.

Is it creepy, because that's a requirement? Heck, if you want to complain about obvious choices, then has anyone listed A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens? It's got ghosts, and a nightmarish vision of the future for the protagonist.

If there was a movie about Santa Anna Claus, it would count. I'm not sure if there is.

    Otherwise, Twilight Zone.

First episode I've ever seen was one. Second one could've been done during any other time in the school year, but it was set at Christmas time, since the boys were singing Christmas carols at the end.

I haven't seen any others. Gotta remember there's one every weeknight (maybe just every night) on at 10 PM!

Yeah, I meant like a link to a clip from the episode or the IMDB or Wiki page of it. If the statement that it did exist was enough to convince me, why would I ask for proof of its existence?
