Since every time I've tried to post the pictures, it borked up, I'll just explain it:
What I played- Bard. Upon being challenged by the DM, who had a low opinion of the class.
What the GM Saw - Elan. Complete with kazoo.
What I played - Joker Bard. See sig for details.
Then he outlawed Diplomancy and fiat declared that everything can see through changeling's shapechange, to keep me from pretty much doing whatever I wanted to do and getting away with it.
Next game, he dared me to play bard again, with the above stipulation.
The first two were identical, for the final... it was part Trogdor, part Metalocalypse, and part Manowar. Bardblade with War Chanter thrown in for good measure. DFI abuse. A dip in WhirlPounceBarian for pounce, the whole party had effectively full BAB (Song of Legion), +16 to attack and damage, and +16d6 sonic damage.
So yea... after that, the GM just threw up his hands and conceded that bards can, in fact, take a level in Badass.
Then someone got up on their feelings about the Tier System and how always right it was, regardless of relevant levels of optimization, and how a lower tiered class can NEVER beat a higher tiered class, regardless of optimization tricks. So I dared him to build a Tier 3 character, and I'd beat him with a Tier 6 class.
Yea, for those of you not familiar, check out my sig for the Scariest Samurai Alive. Had him fear-locked the first turn, and I slowly whittled him down.
So, what I made: Samurai, in full regalia, including Oni Mask.
What he saw: Derpy Face
What I played: Honestly, I don't know what picture to put here, something so terrifying that it can reduce a Warblade to his knees (yes, he IHS'd it away, I turned it back on the next turn, and he didn't have a chance to refresh it.)

I made character that was supposed to be most unconventional Elven bard you have ever seen. He was middle aged (yes, middle aged Elf), fat and has huuge ego. He was also based on popular character from well-known book in my country, known for being exactly that, but also pretty smart and outsourcing. I don't know what GM saw, but I think he and players seen him mostly as a joke character, as it was hard to take him seriously. Game haven't gotten anywhere and died pretty quickly, but before that happened my character self-proclaimed himself to be groups mentor, befriended two tortured and lost souls of the party and managed to avoid party having to duke it out with very angry Dryad. Looking back now, I think I was the only character not using any powerful homebrews and probably the weakest. So in group of dangerous individuals I was the normal guy, who glued them together and keept them from wrecking the world. So I was Kyon. While still being what character was intended AND what the GM saw, because even when doing that I was walking joke.

SpoilerWell, I made a TWF Elven Ranger with the premise of going into Tempest (the Masters of the Wild version, not the CW version).
Due to previous experience of players going Elven Rangers the DM didn't have a very high opinion of them... Until he put us up against some Were-Polar Bears... Yep, you guessed it... I got bit and viola, end up with lycanthropy.
The DM thought this was a laugh until I started cutting everything to shreds in Hybrid form... Let's just say he never put us (or his other group) up against Were creatures again.

Good Wis and Will save boosts to avoid changing unintentionally, and being the only melee orientated character in the party.
General tactic was "charge forwards, change into Hybrid form, wail on bad guys".

I'm pretty sure it was Chaotic Good. I know it is for Pathfinder, which is the last bestiary I looked at with Werebears. Which I suppose is a decent reason for the DM to not make your hybrid and animal forms actually have the knowledge of which people deserve killing.

Because when you say "gunslinger" to people who don't know The Dark Tower, they immediately imagine a gambling, spur-wearing, cigar-smoking, lawless Clint Eastwood type with a six-shooter. Meanwhile, Pathfinder gunslingers use flintlock pistols, armor, and swords.Rules that supersede Rule 0:
Rule -1: You're all there to have fun. The GM and the players should never do anything that would limit people's fun, for any in-game or real-life reason.
Rule -0.5 (corollary): That means that if someone's fun is getting in the way of other people's fun, that person needs to change how they're playing.

I had just gotten the Dragon magazine about the ancients, so, without having any idea what the DM had in mind for the plot, I ran it by him and made a millenia-old sorcerer. As explanation for why he was level one, the DM explained "You have amnesia," and made my character an important plot point.
I played the hell out of that.
My favourite bit was my character's familiar: a cat named Cat.

SpoilerSo basically, the character I made was a Solar Exalt from what was basically the equivalent of Kandor in Exalted--a place that retained a lot of its First Age Culture, basically, and didn't change much with the times--that was destroyed, forcing her to go out and rebuild everything in a totally unfamiliar world. However, a surprisingly large amount of other chat-goers decided that it would be a great idea to attempt to form some sort of relationship with her, which was, I must admit, incredibly funny. Ultimately, however, the other chat-goers perceptions weren't nearly as relevant as the fact that she was my first Exalted character, and I had no real clue how the system worked, which meant when I realized my stats weren't all that suited to the goal I'd set for her, I had to spend a large chunk of my IC time training her up rather than doing things, and thus she was kind of holed up more than she was getting out in the world.Last edited by AgentofHellfire; 2012-10-01 at 05:59 PM.

Sort of funny that he looks like a vaguely handsome ogre, as the real Alexander was one of the only historical figures who fit the bishonen mold at all. That being said he is a rather good anime approximation of Phillip II, Alexander's father. So considering Fate's track record with historical accuracy, missing by one generation isn't too bad.

Technically the Tron suit makes perfect sense in the setting...and there's a throwaway line in the Japanese version that suggests Francis Drake and Elizabeth II traded places at some point.
Agreed on Alexander, though, he really probably should have traded appearances with Gilgamesh, he of the enormous beard in all his depictions.Spoiler

you are pretty much dead on accurate. Lilliana isnt remotely suductress (outside of the first Planeswalker book, but there she really just wants Jace's pants). she is better described as ruthless bitch.
Her origin as a Planeswalker story is perhaps the best representation of why the color wheel is a better morality system then the Morality grid of DnD. its just that in gameplay terms, we really only see the colors at their worst (because that is where the colors are the most differentiated).My Homebrew: found here.
