"Mother was a lady's maid, now she runs a house cleaning business. Coming here was possibly the best decision she could have made." But Defelent still doesn't visit her very often. He claims he's too busy.

"Well, that's good for her, then," Cassidy says while moving off of the wall she was leaning on. "Anyone who can make a life here has got to have something working for them."

"There's plenty of opportunity for businesses here. A group of kobolds have a restaurant in Mallside for those with a taste for the exotic and unusual. Or cave-dwellers with a naturally similar diet." Not that I expect Cassidy to know what a kobold is.

"Yeah, that's one of the good things about this place. You can find just about anything you might want," Cass says. Maybe she'll could buy a new commlink over in that mall.

"Yes, it might even be possible to dig up a twin for Beautiful. Not that I want one- I like using a shield. I understand that that's one view which is not very common around here." Lots of people tend to dual-wield, despite how impractical that can be.

"What, using a shield? I'm not exactly familiar with any kind of fighting that isn't a street brawl." Well, that and firefights with corporate security.

"Omid can teach you how not to cut your arm off with your scimitar, and there's a combat school opening up somewhere North of Inside if you want more advanced techniques. The clergy tend to specialise in just one weapon- I can teach you how to use a mace, but not a sword. The paladins of the Order of the Centipede know more about weaponry, and wear heavier armours. I'll teach you how to put on and manoeuvre with a suit of chainmail, and if I have some help I know a bit about plate, splint, and other heavy armours, but the paladins wear plate whenever possible." The Cult of Dalachrech is not focussed upon military matters, and focus more on their magic for defence. The Order of the Centipede focus on military matters, and use their magic to augment their feats of arms.

"I could use all the help I can get, really. I know a bit about knives, but, well, this isn't a knife," Cass says while patting the hilt of her scimitar.

"In that case, I'd better give you this. I meant to do so the other day- it's another part of your uniform, along with the silver amulet, Orb of Brotherhood and the magic weapon. It protects against poison- if you're going to be fencing with Omid, you'll need it." Defelent takes a simple gold ring out of a pocket and hands it to Cassidy.

"Thanks, Defelent." Cassidy takes the gold ring and slips it on one of her fingers. Normally, she wouldn't be so quick to trust, but she couldn't look suspicious of Defelent.

Fortunately, Defelent trusts Dalachrech's judgement. Which means that until he's got proof otherwise he'll trust Cassidy as a member of the clergy. He won't trust her with personal secrets, such as Tracy's true status, as he's top of the heap and she may get ambitious, hand him in to Remnant or some other anti-slavery group, and then she's one step closer to Head Priesthood. So the ring's genuine. "Just because I've given you a ring doesn't mean you should get any ideas. Unless they don't go quite as far as marriage." Defelent smiles.

"Eh. Marriage isn't really my thing anyway," Cassidy says with a smirk. "Not a point against you or anything like that."

"Good, because whilst you're lovely, but if you wanted to marry me I'd say no on principle. Again, no offence intended; I prefer my life now, without the trappings of monogamy." Defelent smiles again.

"That's nice of you to say. But unless you really liked what you saw last night, I wouldn't call me lovely." Cass keeps smirking and crosses her arms again.

"I didn't actually look. Too busy doing religious-y things." Judging by Defelent's smile, he may be telling the truth, but probably isn't.

Cassidy rolls her eyes a bit. "Uh-huh. You're telling me that you, the resident ladies' man of the temple, didn't look at all?"

"Maybe I did a little, yes. And you are lovely, despite what you think. It's not just the outside that matters, after all." Defelent actually means that. Although I have realised that it might be taken as slightly insulting.

"Oh, so you're saying I'm ugly, then?" Cass says, her smirk remaining as it is. She knows full well what Defelent means, but she likes messing with him.

"No. I'm saying I don't just judge on appearances. Though, they do help. But I think I'd be attracted to your body even if I didn't like your personality, and I'd be attracted to your personality even if I didn't like your body. Does that help at all?" Defelent smiles, being honest.

"I think it helps a little," Cassidy says. At this point, she's starting to look Defelent up and down.

Well, he's not the most muscular of people, though that's not to say he's puny. He's rather thin, but his current attire of a long, black robe emblazoned with a white two-tailed scorpion hides quite a bit about his figure. "I know, there's no hope for me, is there?" He sounds like he's joking, or at least hopes that he's joking.

"I don't know for sure, those robes hide a lot more than I do. You don't look horrible, though." The look on Cassidy's face suggests that what she just said is a bit of an under-exaggeration.

"Would you like me to take them off so you can examine my body to the best of your ability?" Defelent's grin suggests he's joking, but his tone is very serious.

Cassidy hmm's a bit before answering. "I dunno. Depends on where, I guess. I mean, I definitely don't want you to strip right here."

"Well, I'd volunteer my room, but Tracy hasn't met you yet and it'd be impolite to do anything in there whilst she's asleep. So that leaves the showers in the basement, your room, Omid's room but I don't think he'd like that, and the altar room." There's also the storage room, but there's a ladder in there leading to the attic's torture chamber and Defelent doesn't want Cassidy to see that yet.

Cass makes another show of considering the options. "Well, my room's private, and so is Omid's. I don't wanna disturb anyone else at the altar, so I guess that just leaves us with one option, right?"

"The showers it is." Defelent gives a cheeky grin, showing he knows exactly where she means. "Lead away, Twig."

Cassidy grins again and turns around before heading down to the showers. Defelent might notice that there seems to be a bit more sway in how she's walking now than before.

Defelent does indeed notice, and appreciates it, too. Meanwhile, he's thinking this may have backfired on him slightly- Cassidy's room is closer. Regardless, he'll follow her to wherever she leads him.

Cassidy leads Defelent down to the showers, like she said. Once they arrive, though. She stops and turns to look at Defelent. "Before you do anything, you want the water on or off?"
