The Lesser Gnoll had been ignoring the elf, intent on the more immediate problem: Chez. Big mistake. The pickaxe smashes into not his skull, but his snout, and sends the gnoll sprawling to the ground, whimpering in pain, splatters of blood flying. The remaining lesser gnoll bodyguard meets Chez with a flurry of teeth and claws, scratching and tearing at the wolf man.

Bow men fire!! Oookay, so Kordak's probably not going to be happy about Grendar giving this instruction instead of him, but the greater gnoll is scared, having watched one of his younger friends just be killed in a matter of seconds. A hail of arrows (eight specifically) is loosed towards the group, mainly aimed at Chez. However since everyone's standing fairly close together, I'd imagine they're all at an acceptable risk.. except for Marty who's rolled out of the way already. Of course, he has a fireball to worry about.

As for Chez, well, the gnoll he's wrestling with could be used as a very effective shield if he's smart enough to work that out...

Of course Chez doesn't realize the Gnoll is between him and the Arrows, but it's in a Position that it should take most of the Arrows.To the Knee.

Gory Fields

Well, that's a pretty good plan Magtok has there, using himself as the projectile in an improvised kamikaze attack. But it has it's flaws. The main one to note here is aiming. Namely, that when using such an attack, you really can't. This is because, rather than throwing Magtok at any specific target, the magnetic field will simply push him away, the only way to aim putting oneself in a straight line between the generator and whomever you wish to hit.

And Prometheus isn't an easy, nor stationary, target.

Indeed, as Magtok attempts to ramp up the generator to eleven by using Mechalomania to kick-start the damn thing, Prometheus starts moving, dropping both shield and gun as he strafes round the generator at a pace that a professional athlete would envy. Slower than he would be in full health, perhaps, but still making the task of trying to aim at him with such a clumsy, inaccurate attack several magnitudes more difficult.

Whatsmore, Prometheus dropped his weaponry for more reason than to simply reduce weight, using his now free hands to tear a hellfire grenade free of it's bandolier and lob the magic-fueled incendiary right towards the generator, set to detonate upon impact. Awful hard to dodge when you have to stay within a relatively small space around the machine, much less effectively follow your target at the same time.

All easily attainable, five seconds being more than enough time to toss a single explosive and make a dash for it, the grenade likely landing and exploding in a burst of supernaturally intense flames just as the clock hits the four second mark.

Kal, still humming with Infernal power, steps forwards to the edge of the stands, putting him in an ideal position to look over the action below and make any dramatic declarations he might wish to make, his voice amplified with diabolical authority.
"Attention assorted AMENites, especially you, Gordo McFatass (if you can hear me under all that dying of poison business you've got going on) and Guy-who-shares-none-of-the-intelligence-of-his-Titan-namesake, and whatever poor deluded shmucks still support the two of you. By summoning his battlemages to the field, Prometheus has broken the agreement made by Gordon to make this at least resemble a fair fight. Thus, I declare that, unfortunately, Gordon and Prometheus have just forfeited this match, and leadership of AMEN now passes to Ilpholin and Magtok."
Or maybe just Magtok, since Ilpholin in her current state doesn't appear to have the presence of mind to be leading anyone any time soon.

Anyway, punctuating his speech is the appearance of a sextet of flaming pillars behind him as he summons his reinforcements, the unholy immortal powers of HELL most likely (but not quite certainly - that would be godmodding, after all) piercing quite efficiently through Prommy's paltry technological anti-teleport field to send over some 'enforcing officers' amidst the flames. Half a dozen 2.5 meter tall figures, dressed in lush crimson cloaks that hide every bit of their form, except for the gleaming bronze horns that curl elegantly out of the front of their hoods.

Outside Trog's and fighting in the Rain

AM4 nods in reply to Drift, fully capable of telling when an order is interrupted. As the arrows bombard them, one of them lodges itself in a the machine's neck, its hand pulling it out casually as it turns towards the Gnolls.

Lifting an arm, Ethereal energy runs through the automaton's body from the object serving as a heart and materialises as a wave of blue and white energy through AM4's arm and towards the nearest Gnolls.

Should they be hit by the energy, an energy which moves slower than a bullet but still quickly, they would be knocked over by the hit and the their equilibrium send to kingdom come by the ethereal force behind it.

Humans hit by the blast of the Angelaean weaponry would be knocked cold for days and barely be able to control their body enough to open their eyes upon awakening, but Gnolls had never been seen in AM4's world.

As neither group has yet charged or moved at all towards the others, I'd say they're still a distance from each other. Therefore the beam only hits the three front archers, all human, and they go sprawling backwards, knocking down a fourth who begins to scramble to back to his feet.

Huh, wasn't expecting that. Damn robots. Kordak raises his voice, addressing no-one in particular from his group, the first one to dismantle that thing gets a three week break from Pit fighting!

Woah, that was effective! A sudden surge of slaves towards the battle, each one hopeful at the prospect of a three week holiday from fighting to the death. They run at the group, and a last action is probably available as they approach.

Talnissa, seeing their expressions, hesitates to fire. Not because she's unwilling to shoot at them - they are trying to kill her, after all - but because she's fairly certain they don't deserve to die, and that, combined with the fact that she'd figured the gnolls were a larger threat, necessitates retargeting, which takes about twenty seconds.

At the end of which, barring anything happen that would prevent her from doing so, she brings her right arm up, and launches eight large arrowheads, attached to chains, with a tube through the links to the center of each. Said tube is a steam tube; by forcing steam out through the vents at the corners of each barb on the arrowheads, Talnissa can control their flight. Each of the unusual projectiles is aimed for one leg of one of the four.

Meanwhile, as she's shooting at the humanoids, she's also bringing her left arm up so that the shield, hopefully, will end up aimed at the lesser gnoll that whipped the four towards her. More specifically, she's trying to aim the small hole in the center of it at his head, and if she manages to, will fire the rifle contained within her arm at him.

I'd say it's probably pretty hard to aim at five targets at once. As such, I'm willing to estimate she's finding locking onto the gnoll pretty difficult, especially as he's moving away now, back into the group of lesser gnolls. As for the humanoids, They have three rounds to reach Telenissa. One keeps running towards her, and he's the one caught by her arrows, both legs. He screams in pain and shock. As for the other three, the lizardfolk had had the good sense to slow down, and she dodges the arrows, showing herself to be very agile, fast and most likely a rogue. One of the other slaves pulls her friend towards her and casts a shielding spell over them.

Oh for... Kremiir?
The gnoll brother turns and almost fires another fireball before catching himself. Too many good slaves in the way. Instead he points at the robot, Flame arrow, and sends the four bright red balls at Talnissa.

Rock, Fireball; Gnoll battle

Marty eyes the fireball and ducks behind the rock hoping the rock will hold back the flame. However unbeknownst to him, his foot lies just outside the rocks cover. Marty is absolutely terrified. Marty does not see Thenadier hiding in the trees.


Thenadier- Snipers Gonna Snipe.

Thenadier sees Marty hide behind the rock, ...Perfect...., Thenadier takes aim. He's perfectly calm and very well trained. Thenadier is sweating slightly. His calloused hands rub his high-tech pistol. Thenardier's face is still cold and emotionless. Thenadier's finger brushes the trigger and pulls. Thenadier shoots his bullet. It flies across the battlefield heading straight for Marty's unprotected thigh.

((Feel free to have the bullet hit someone else, If no one else gets hit accidently it hits Marty next turn.))

Trees Behind Gnolls-Camouflaged Kleptomaniac Halfling Attack (It's super effective!)

Marciano looks around the battlefield and sees the gnoll that was killed by Sleet and injured by Kale. The sneering halfling shoots a small but strong cable with sharp grappling hooks out of an odd machine that he was carrying on his back. The device looks like a harpoon crossed with a a hitting machine. It is supported by a tripod frame. Marciano grins evilly. The cables are invisible. Once the harpoon grappler latches onto the dead gnoll Grantaire starts pulling a heavy winch attached to the machine that drags the dead gnoll using it's own flesh once the grappling thing implants itself in the gnolls chest. The grappling hook gets bigger once inside to the point where the body's chest starts to look disfigured. More blood seeps through the gnoll. The strong, invisible cables are made of some odd material stronger than steel. If anyone was paying attention to the dead body, ((Unlikely)), It would seem like the corpse was sliding across the ground slowly into the surrounding forest. ((Attempted, though I kinda doubt a dead body would resist much.))Marciano and Grantaire await the prize as the body slides closer, hopefully. Marciano's grappling machine works well. The pair of thieves are surprisingly efficient.

Cyrus ignores the Moffs and the Popcorn from way earlier, though the latter has him flailing for a moment to get it off of him.

However, when Kal makes a declaration, and then asks for objections, what else could Cyrus do?

"Yes. Yes I do have an objection. After all, if those guys count as backup rather than spectators, shouldn't your presence and that of the Moffs, by itself, count as backup for Ilpholin and Magtok, thus breaking your deal in Gordon and Prometheus' favor long, long before the battlemages ever appeared?"

Meanwhile, he keeps an eye on the health of Gordon and Prometheus. Wouldn't do to have either of them die while he wasn't paying attention...

Even further, a particularly observant eye might notice that Cyrus' armor activates, meaning that it will respond to any physical contact with a bolt of Blightning. A thin, almost invisible energy shield manifests over him as well, on the off chance someone tries to use fire against him.

Field of Vainglory

Moff 4, being thwarted in his wedgie attempt by the battlemages wearing power armor, finds consolation in the fact that Scary Kal is smoking hawt, and not just in the hellfire sense. He cheers the announcement, returns to Kal's side, and leads the Moffs in a chant, trying to get the rest of the spectators to join in. Of course, it would be more effective if half of the Moffs weren't under the stands making out with each other.

"Magtok! Ilpholin! Magtok! Ilpholin!"

The chanting continues until the massive explosion drowns them out.

AM4 shoots another blast at the slaves, a broader strike aimed to momentarily knock down their front row, before taking a fighting stance and silently waiting for them to enter close-quarter combat.

As they arrive, the Magitech creation will begin fist-fighting in a style very reminiscent of gentlefolk's boxing, relying on superhuman speed, strength and durability to make up for the number of enemies.

Makes sense to me; the rifle was only really fired as 'Eh, it might work, so why not?' type of thing, so it missing is certainly reasonable. (Oh, and just as a note, the steam-harpoon things are the only ones with lock on capability; the rifle was relying solely on her aim, which is normally fairly good, but considering her state of distraction and the fact that she was shooting at a moving target... Not so much.)

The two chain-arrows aimed at the lizardfolk start to twist back towards her, though slowly, at least at first, still aiming for the legs. Of course, given her reflexes and the fact that they have to slow down considerably to do so, at least until they actually get turned, at which point they begin to gather speed again reasonably fast, she'll probably have ample opportunity to get out of the way. Though admittedly, part of that probably depends on whether or not she expects them to come at her from behind. In any case, whatever the outcome with the reptilian, as Talnissa isn't sure what sort of magic the other two just used, the ones aimed for them begin to make course adjustments as well. Of course, since the one was pulled to the side and/or back, rather than past them, it doesn't take as long in this case, but there should still be enough time for someone with very good reflexes to get out of the way, though, depending on the nature of the shield spell, there's a good chance it won't be necessary.

The man with the chain-arrows through his legs is likely about to learn the purpose of the chains, as those attached to the ones that hit him begin quickly reeling back in, likely dragging him towards Talnissa.

Of course, doing all of this means that she ignored the flame arrows that Kremiir sent at her, so she's hit solidly by all four, one catching her right around where the sternum would be on a human, another her right shoulder, and the remaining two catching her in the neck and the left side of her face; each impact point is clearly marked by a small circle on her armor that glows white-hot, with the surrounding metal gradually shading down to normal.

Well Zefir is here as well and would stand up placing himself next to him.

"I think the same way as him. After all the only way he would have broke a rule would be when he summoned them INTO the Forcefield."

Since Kal called reinforcements Zefir prepares for a figth as well. This most likly shows in a headset and a rocket launcher on his shoulder.

Well, since it's turning to a fight, Karyana calls up some reinforcements of her own. Namely, a dozen Quill Wolves, two Rayaat-Tyr, both armed with blazes, five pseudocanines, and Selka's sister, all brought in through the same warped reality (an area that physically connects two distant locations, no teleporting required) that she came here through.

"I'm with the... Whatever type of Hell-creature he may be... on this one. Those battlemages belong specifically to Prometheus, and are ideally placed to mop up any survivors."

The rock had covered most of him from the fireball but his left foot was sticking out, so it got fried. Marty howls in pain and begins to take off his boot and administer some bandages and oils. He doesn't fire. He's rather occupied with a flaming foot. His howls are heard throughout the field. Aaaah!

Trees: Camouflaged Kleptomaniac Halflings

Marciano and Grantaire keep on winching, but Grantaire got distracted by the Marty's howl and accidentally broke off the winch. Grantaire holds it in his hand, ....Oh gods...... GRANTAIRE! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!! Marciano tries to hold the grappling gun. The winch controlled firing and dragging. All the cables suddenly shoot out of the trees in a flurry of very sharp cables launching themselves at very high velocity. The machine shoots out everything it had in every direction. ((Feel free to have a cable hit someone)) Marciano somehow got his foot tied in a cable rope. GRANTAIRE TH' MACHINE IT'S GOT ME FOOT! Grantaire has no idea what to do and runs around screaming.... Marciano is launched with a cable. He flies over the battlefield before the cable attaches itself in a tree. Marciano is hanging on the cable that is embedded into a tree by his left foot. The grappling machine begins tugging the trees roots. The tree creaks. GRANTAIRE! YOU'RE FIRED!

Fields of Force and Crazed Competitions

Unfavorable odds aren't going to stop Magtok. Slow timers aren't going to stop Magtok, either. Moving targets aren't going to stop Magtok, grenades thrown at a stolen generator aren't going to stop Magtok, supernaturally hot fire burning through his flesh and bones isn't going to stop Magtok, and most importantly of all, Magtok's own death isn't going to stop Magtok.

He has a target computer in his head, on the chrome half of his face. If he's already dead when the five seconds are up, he doesn't show it, because that fancy computer system keeps him propped up and oriented correctly for launch. Libby's going to be so annoyed if he tries to use this as an excuse not to go on that date though, isn't she? =P

There's a loud sonic boom, and the entire forcefield around the arena violently reverberates.

Well, this isn't good. Well, at least Gordon can survive the explosion. Lightning doesn't do a thing to him, and the distance keeps it from being too painful to him.
And now is the time that Gordon is not happy about his improved hearing, as that makes the sonic boom worse for him.

But he is happy about the improved sense of smell, as that gives him a chance for this. Gordon breathes deeply, sparks flowing over his body, and breathes a lightning bolt at the flying Magtok. The bolt, tainted crimson by the blood going into Gordon's lungs, should have enough force to throw the MagDoken off course and fry the targeting computer if it manages to connect. And good news for Ilpholin, the shocks coming from Gordon might keep her heart beating long enough for the fight to end and medical aid to be applied.

"Well I- Whoa!" when the generator explodes, Lily jumps in her seat a little, cutting off from what she was saying. Becky, if she is paying attention to the area around Lily's waist, may notice a twitch that simply couldn't have been made by a normal human body. of course, considering her eyes, Lily definitely isn't a normal human, obviously, but it may pique curiosity.

Becky jumps as well!

And she might well notice the twitch!

"...dangit, I can't see a thing," she complains as there's no doubt a cloud of dust over the field...

...oh, and she facepalms at Kal, too.

The Glory Fields

Gordon doesn't have to move far, what with just covering Ilpholin's head. Still, it feels somewhat hard to believe that Gordon expected Prom to up and disobey orders in favor of ignoring the currently active combatant who is messing around with a generator that's already been proven to be quite dangerous for Prom, so he can... make a point I guess. Or try to anyways. I thoroughly suspect his little monologue loses drama points by being made at a horrible time of exploding and ignoring his teammate's good advice. All the same, the point being that one would imagine it makes it more difficult for Gordon to guard Ilph against an attack from Prom.

Anyways, the end result is the first bullet narrowly makes it through before Ilph is covered completely, going through Ilpholin's skull and out the other side making a rather large hole. The rest of the bullets will hit Gordon instead, though I suspect that's not really an issue for him. Regardless, where Ilpholin had stopped bleeding all over Gordon's claws, now she's dribbling brain bits on him instead. Eww.

Her necklace briefly tries to fly off, but is stopped.

Whatever remains in Gordon's claws is highly protected from resulting explosion using her dragon shield! There is that at least. Incredibly lucky there. I guess.

Fortunately, Ilpholin getting shot through the head was covered up rather quickly by Gordon and the massive, field enveloping explosion. So the audience would probably have a particularly difficult time seeing exactly what just happened. Shock, rage, or cheers should probably wait until the smoke clears.

Speaking of smoke, the explosion definitely catches all that webbing Ilpholin was stringing up for her long term plan that never panned out. It gets knocked down and most are just up and vaporized, but enough bits fall to the ground, flaming webs that creates thick, rancid smoke. Enough to give a dramatic pause for the audience as they literally wait for the smoke to clear. It won't last horribly long. These webs burn quick.

The Glory Fields

This is still happening since it's taking twice as many posts to resolve the initial effects than expected. So the field is still smoky since explosions and Magtok's haven't even finished happening.

I'm also 98% sure keeping one's heart beating does not matter when you've been shot in the brain.
