Re: Tools of Chaos
As he his carried away, say simply I am your humble servant, sir, while bowing. After the Uncle is in bed, promise the nephew that I'll return, and go off in search of magic shops where I could find a belt of giant's strength +2.

Re: Tools of Chaos
After some looking you find a shop that has such items. Nothing really happens until the next morning when you get back to Chuancies. At this time he is packing a bag with several strange gadgets, the purpose and operation of which is beyond you.

Re: Tools of Chaos
We will be going out to the ruins of Helzfog. It is patrolled by blinkdogs under the supervision of a celestial that I am on very good terms with.I have finally managed to locate a codex to understanding the language of those who built the ruins and understanding their language. The celestial is there to make sure that the honest can get in and that only the benign items leave. Unfortunately, most people rush in and take, or are dishonest. I hope you are ready. Getting to the entrance is easy for us, it is beyond that when it gets hard. Are you ready?

Re: Tools of Chaos
He did. You arrive at the ruins without incident. As you approach Chuancy stops you. We must wait for Edgar to challenge us and clear us to go in. Just answer truthfully and we can get in and get the codex. A few minutes pass and the hair on the back of Anguses neck raises. Wolf like forms blink in and out of sight. In a clap of thunder a form appears in front of you. Greeting Chuancy. I see you have a companion. What do each of you seek here? New one, you go first.

Re: Tools of Chaos
You help Chuancy and you shall have it. And you Chuancy? The codex that will help me decipher the language.Very well, you may both enter. The two of you enter the ruins. There are passages going every which way. Murals cover the walls and pottery is scattered all over the place. Bones are all over and sometimes you see a bit of movements down a passage. Chuancy seems to know where he is going and leads you to a passage where you can feel a slight air flow. There he halts.

Re: Tools of Chaos
He starts to pull one of the gadgets out of his pack. I suppose you are wondering why I might need your help. This passage has numerous traps and after that I think we have guardians or undead of some type. After that there is a shaft that leads to the room where the codex is. Lets hope my little friend can trigger the traps for, or find their triggers anyway. With that he releases the device which starts rolling back and forth, bouncing off the walls, triggering spikes, flames, and blades. It them comes back without triggering much anything and leaves a faint bluish trail.

Re: Tools of Chaos
Healing, fighting guardians, and someone is going to have to haul me and the codex up the shaft. From what these crawler things were able to gather, there isn't anything to worry about past the shaft, but getting to it could be hard. Now let me try to remember exactly where the return trail of the roller was. That should be the safe path..

Think nothing of it. I imagine I am sturdier than you. Perhaps I should take the lead?

Re: Tools of Chaos
You manage to make it the rest of the way only setting off another fire trap taking (1d4+3)[7] /2 fire damage. At the end of the traps there is a lever in the wall, which Chuancy pulls, explaining that should disable the traps for the return trip. You then come to a long hallway where 4 skeletons standing at attention line the sides of the hallway.

Ask if the skeletons might become animated, and if so, cast shield of faith.

Re: Tools of Chaos
Wait.. what are they attacking me with that they can attack me all at once?
If they are surrounding me with melee weapons, cut through some of them so I can get out of the group and deal with them one or two at a time. Activate the shock ability and start swinging.(1d20+11)[21] (2d6+7)[14]+(1d6)[4]If they are using ranged weapons try to find some cover.

Re: Tools of Chaos
Melee Weapons, and you came out near the bottom of initiative. they are attacking in mass in front of your without tactics.
You Hit one and it sizzles and explodes, but your shield of faith keeps you from getting dust in your eyes. The remaining three attack.
