"That's not what I've heard," the goblin grunts. "But I guess if something big doesn't go down I might actually die of old age here."

"What do I have to do? To keep the others from picking on me and name calling?" Varo asks.

[McBish]

Infirmary

"That has to be frustrating. So the people got better, that's something at least. So everyone just thought they were sick?"

He takes a seat on the edge of the bed.

[UncleWolf]

Penal Company

"The picking and namecalling will happen no matter what. Just avoid the fights." Cassius tries to advise the young elf. "Avoid the fights and stick close to someone you can trust a bit and you'll be fine."

[Morty]

[Penal Company]

"'Trust' is a word that seems a little out of place here," the goblin says with a dry chuckle. "At least the people in charge don't encourage us to rat each other out."

"It was rather frustrating. But now I wonder, how does someone plant things in someone's mind, like 'be sick' or 'hurt someone you care about'?" Charity muses.

"I have an idea. Why don't you talk about your uncle's good qualities - why you care about him?"

"Are you people I can trust?" Varo asks, looking at both the ant-man and the goblin.

Cassius chuckles at the question. "I pulled you out of a brawl that would have likely left you hospitalized. I think that might be the closest you'll get unless you take my word that yes, you can trust me."

[Morty]

[Penal Company]

The goblin terrorist actually laughs. "Haven't you heard anything about goblins? We're the little runts that can't be trusted." He calms down a little. "Seriously, though, I have nothing to hold against you, so if you scratch my back, I can scratch yours. I'm good at staying out of everyone's way."

[McBish]

Calvin nods thinking about it.

"He is probably the smartest person I have meet. He can seem to be able to pull out a bit of knowledge about just about anything. I don't know how many languages he can speak. He always has a plan for anything. I swear you drop the man in the middle of the jungle he would have stashed a bunch of food and a magic carpet there on a trip he took 30 years ago.

"So he's the god-damned batman, huh?" Charity says, smiling. "And he taught you a lot of what he knows, didn't he?


Penal Company

"Thanks. I... if they call me Kinslay... if they call me that word. It'll be hard for me to control myself." Varo says.

[McBish]

[Infirmary]

Calvin smiles at the thought of his uncle in a batman outfit jumping from rooftop to rooftop. His uncle is a short chubbier man.

"He isn't much of a fighter, not exactly what I would call physically fit. He taught me a bunch of useful tricks. Plus he is great at getting me cool books from all over the place. He knows I love to read so if he is traveling somewhere he always picks me up a book."

"It's always nice to have books around, though I've never been as avid a reader as some. I tend to spend my spare time drawing or painting instead," Charity says. "Can you pin down when the compulsion started?"

[McBish]

Infirmary

"I was at a bar and everything was just fine. Then I remember walking down the street, I wasn't thinking to clearly but I think the compulsion was there even then. So sometime between being at the bar and then when I was on the street. I don't even know how much time had passed."

He frowns setting the soda down getting up and starting to pace again.

"Was it a bar you've been to before?" Charity asks.

[McBish]

[Infirmary]

"Finn's was the name of the place. A few times before, I am not a regular or anything, but I tend to try out a lot of different places here in the city. I didn't notice anything odd while I was there."

"And after you took the activated charcoal, your head cleared, but the compulsion remained. My guess is that there was a drug along with the compulsion, so that you would be confused enough not to question why you were doing something you wouldn't ordinarily do." Charity says. "Now I'm wondering what the person is going to do when they realize that their plan didn't work."

Or hasn't worked yet, anyway. Leaving Calvin locked up to keep him from killing his uncle isn't really a viable long-term solution.

[McBish]

"I would guess that they would have the compuslions start to get broder and more violent. If I can't get rid of my uncle they would want to get rid of me. Throwing me at fight after fight would take care of that."

Not to much of a guess really, since the compulsions have already started to push him to get more violent with the people around him.

"That's not very good."

"Wait, are you feeling that sort of compulsion now?"

Charity would be pretty much helpless if Calvin decided to attack. Her only defense would be the emergency teleport, and only if she could hit the button faster than he could kill her.

[McBish]

[Infirmary]

Maybe Chairty should be thinking about getting some people involved that might stand a chance of stopping him. Or at least get a taser.

"Not as strong as when I think of my uncle. But yeah, mostly just to get them out from between me and him. Like right now the voice in my head is saying I could probably fight my way off this base and get away before to many people really know about me being here."

Or get someone else in who might be able to fix him. But right now, she's hoping it will wear off.

"That would be a very bad idea and would definitely get you killed. So you aren't going to do that." Charity says. Calvin would remember from the way in that the infirmary is near the centre of the base. Very difficult for a fugitive to get from there to outside without being seen.

[McBish]

[Infirmary]

Well with the compulsions getting worse it seems less and less likely that the compuslion is going to go away on it's own.

"Yeah I know. I keep rememinding myself that, it helps a bit. Same thing with hurting anyone here. I think coming here was a good call."

If he wasn't surronded by soldiers he wouldn't be able to use that bit of fear to keep him from following through with all these thoughts that keep popping into his head.

He also doesn't mention his plan to take hostages and try and get his way off the base that way, another plan he hopes he never has to see in action.

"It doesn't seem like it's going to go away on its own, does it?" Charity says. And now I run into the same problem I had with the plague plot - the Remnant characters who are most equipped for this sort of thing are Wolfy's, and he's only on for an hour or two a week.

[McBish]

Well maybe Chairty knows someone outside of Remnant who could help that she would go to knowing Calvin isn't super comfortable around Remnant people, or another player might have a character that could help. None of the people that Calvin knows that can do mind magic are the kind of people Calvin wants poking around in his head.

"No not really. Unfortently."

[UncleWolf]

Penal Company

"Then they'll call you that until you start something. Hell, the Major will call you that if he knows it'll get under your skin." Cassius explains. "That's part of the entire ordeal. We're supposed to learn from this if we survive."

"I think I better call someone for help," Charity says. And since Wolfy seems to be online, she calls Anna to ask if she can come to the infirmary to help someone out who has been given a mental compulsion. Unless Calvin tries to stop her from doing so.

[McBish]

Calvin doesn't try to stop her. He is worried enough about being in control of himself that he overcomes any compulsion to stop her.

After the call, it takes a few minutes for Anna to arrive. When she does, Calvin will see her as an average height woman with dark brown curly hair, glasses, and wearing a long-skirted style Remnant uniform. She doesn't look threatening at all, but she carries a long metal rod at her hip on one side. Other than that, she isn't armed. "You must be Calvin." She says with a smile when she enters. "What can I help you with?" She asks. Even though Charity told her the issue, she still wanted to hear it from the patient's own mouth.

Charity makes sure to close and lock the door after Anna enters, but she'll stay quiet for now.

[McBish]

[Infirmary]

"Yeah. Well some how I got drugged and now I have the strong desire to go and kill my uncle. I have the strong urge to not let anyone stop me from doing so, and I am pretty sure that I will hurt some soon if something doesn't change, or we use those restraints."

He looks a bit frazzled for obvious reasons. Calvin is pretty plain looking for a human most of his distinguishing marks are pretty well hidden unless you are a keen observer. He has short sandy brown hair that is pretty messily cut, perhaps because he does it himself. His nose has been broken a few times, but each time they were set pretty well. And he has several visible scars, one under right eyebrow partially concealed, one on the side of the neck that points up to his ear. Two more are on his palms each identical a single line running across the palm, and large like he had been cut several times.

Iamar tries to shove the Spitter into the room and shut the door behind her before turning to Hunter. "What do you believe should be done with her?" she says while gesturing to the Witch.
