it sometimes is, depending on where in Italy you're at, but Smee is from Brazil

Indeed. And the equator is rather warm.
And besides, if it gets really cold, there are always scarves.

Also, it's hard to tell from the picture, and also because I'm partially colour blind, but green looks good on you.

I am really far, far away from the equator.
Winters here can be quite cold, in fact.

Still, yesterday wasn't cold enough for me to put on a blouse underneath it, as it's meant to be used in really cold days.

Winter clothing = summer clothing + shoes and gloves.
I.e., cargo pants and a t-shirt.

I actually wear two pairs of gloves. I had a pair of fingerless gloves, but then my fingertips got cold, so I got a cheap pair of gloves, but they didn't have any grip on the palms, and the fingerless gloves have plastic grippy things on the palms, so I put the fingerless ones over the other ones, which keeps my hands warm but leaves my fingertips free enough to manipulate things. It's excellent.
And sure it might look silly, but I'm beautiful anyway, so it's no problem.

My mum isn't a good photographer. First mistake: iPhone instead of new camera. Second: She didn't warn me she was about to take the picture, so I'm in motion.
Anyway, I'm an unpaid intern now, so I had to learn how to tie a tie. It was remarkably easy and I don't know why I didn't learn sooner.

Thanks! I think I'm going to start bringing a change of clothes though, because as an intern I get odd jobs in the office and in the field. Yesterday I made copies and collated them, and then they sent me halfway across the city to fix some streetlights, dressed like that with a reflective vest on.

Yeah. I'm interning at Welsbach Electric Corp. (an electric contractor) in NYC. One or two of the men working there were dressed like I was, but most of them didn't have ties, and my boss was wearing a polo shirt and carpenter's jeans. So I'm going to need a change of clothes for when I have to go to job sites out of the office.

For me, winter clothes are thick socks, trousers, leggings, undershirt, overshirt, thin hoody, full length coat, scarf, quilted cap, filly, friends as wind breaks, hot coffee and as much heater as I'm allowed to crank.
