Day Eighteen:

A stoic lad, the farmer,
A villager of worth,
A player of the land, yeah,
Was 'round since it's birth.

Knew the place back to front.
Had a map on the back of his hand.
A dirty, livid, masterpiece,
A master of the land.

He stood upon the island skies,
The dark-cloud's own creation.
And laughed, and spat into it's eyes.
Laughed at the desolation.

But then, a mime,
Forward and clear.
A box around it,
Not one single fear.

It challenged the man,
The lord of the land,
It's invisible box,
Blocking all others hand.

The farmer of life,
Landed one more for strife,
But the box did transfer.
Transfer it's Alife.

Soon, death did come,
Starvation so cold.
A painful existance,
Ended not so bold.

The mime? He was free.
Free as a bird.
Away he could see,
Alive, a small bird.

And thus ends the tale,
Of farmer and mime.
Let us regail,
Us one more time.

((Note: C'nor was included solely for narrative purposes because I had written this up before I noticed he tried to enter the Vault two days in a row.))

C'nor, TBFProgrammer, and Castaras entered the vault. They traveled through a maze with a lot of boring puzzles and time wasting enemies until they finally came to a room with a pedestal in the center. Upon the pedestal were the three pieces of the Triforce: Power, Wisdom, and Better Luck Next Time. They all dashed forward to grab the piece they each most wanted (Hint: It was Power). Right before they reached the pedestal the floor dropped out from under them.

TBFProgrammer managed to make himself land on a bush, C'nor landed hard ass first on the rocky ground, and Castaras landed comfortably and safely on top of C'nor.

Feeling like they're just wasted a lot of time for nothing, they went off to find something else to do.

Though admittedly, it has been six months or so since the game started, which was the last time I actually did a full read-through of the rules.

(I really hope Lex's game doesn't start too long before Tuesday, which is when I, in theory, get internet access at the new place. I could lose my internet access at the old place anytime between now and then. *sigh*)

Night Eighteen:

The lone figure wandered drearily down the lane. His eyes were listless and he half seemed not to be even aware of his surroundings. Above, the eyes gleamed in the darkness, a small voice speaking to itself.

'I know we need to see what is remaining, but we are sacrificing an innocent life!' 'Shush girl. No one who was brought here was innocent. All of them have their evils.'

'I concur. This one will hardly be missed.' Lapsing into silence, it only shook its head once. Below, the man walked up to an empty space at the edge of one of the floating islands. There was nothing in front of him but the emptiness of the void.

And yet, when he pushed his hand forwards, there was something there. Fiddling quickly with a lock he could not see, the listless man began to grin. Intelligence, cruel and calculating, returned to the eyes as his fingers expertly twisted the lock.

With a final click, the door opened. A shimmering, and suddenly a dark tunnel appeared. Then a voice spoke. 'Why do enter the conclave, mortal.' 'Who. Where are you.' 'Answer.' A moment of silence, then he replied slowly. 'This place contains the secrets of the dark one which has vanished.'

'Exactly.' With no warning, the doors slammed shut behind him. No one saw that which happened next, but none could doubt the sound of the screams. Above, the figure shook its head again. 'We can assume now that at least the main guardian is there. What next?' 'Next, we find what killed the old thing itself.'

Once upon a time Ramsus was too tired from moving to write a decent story and compounding with his innate (almost supernatural) laziness you were presented this garbage as if it were one and told to just smile and nod along....or else. Or else what you ask? Meh, figuring that out would be effort.

On this particular day Ramsus rolled a d4 to determine the Vault's outcome. The results came up &we, Tom, Vesth, & Szilard. He stared at his die and decided he needed more sleep.

'Nigh on three weeks in this endless torment. The worlds beginning to crash around has unsettled me. The sliver of hope from the vanishing of the darkcloud has gone now. The islands still hover, the monotonous days where life is twisted in the most aweful fashions continue.

It is depression that eats at me now. How can I do much more, with this continuing to do nothing to help us escape.
