Oh yeah, so I guess the chances aren't great, but if anyone wants to come and see the NUGSS summer show, A Tale of Two Hamlets, next monday and tuesday, that is still a thing which is happening.

The show is... well, it's our director's take on a G&S-style parody of Hamlet, with music from G&S and similar pieces from the same period but new words. Also fairies, crude double entendres, and genderbending.

Related to Hamlets, there's a scene with the ghosts of dead comedians. But apparently that's been expanded to a more general entertainers. I thought Kurly might be interested to know that one guy will apparently be dressing up as Freddie Mercury.

Walking directions to Bar Loco from the train station:
Come out the main entrance of the train station, with the big arches, and cross the road to Greggs. Turn right, then immediately left again to go up Grainger Street. Keep going until you reach Grey's Monument. Go past the monument, turn left and walk past all the buses. You want to be on the right side of the road as you come up onto Percy Road and immediately cross over to another Greggs. Right by said Greggs is the turning onto Leazes Park Road, Bar Loco is a little way up on the right.
Oh, and we're in the gallery right at the top, I believe (Though obviously you can go to the other bits as well)

Information For Sleeping
Thufir/Tasroth can offer a sofa bed, sofa, and floorspace.
Hazyshade can offer his bed while he sleeps on the sofa.
Qwaz has a sofa, a mattress and floorspace. Though that may only be for the weekend as they may be back to work on the monday.

There are also Premier Inn type places but I don't know details.

So far floorspace or similar has been requested by: Curly, Grlump, Etcetera, Fergo, Succubus, possibly Ku.

Partly because we all love eachother so much, and partly because it makes the trip more worth it for the people who have to travel further, the meetup is probably going to be extended in both directions for those who want to come early or stick around longer.

Uh... I should mention that the bed thing was kinda tongue-in-cheek. I may well be willing to share, but it would be invite-only (wink wink ) (so no creeping into my bed when I'm sleeping! I'm looking at you, weird Lombok guy!), and also I have it on good authority that I'm awful to share a bed with - I fidget, kick, snore and take forever to fall asleep.
Those sorts of specifics can be worked out at the time, though. We can fit up to 4-6 if people are willing to squeeze and floor it, but no spare linen etc.

Technically you don't need to bring money for the venue. Because it's free. But please budget to spend a tenner downstairs on food and drink. Think of that as your contribution to venue costs. Cos you'd have to buy food and drink from somewhere anyway, right? And don't bring in massive picnics, or any drink at all. We can smuggle some baked goods upstairs, but let's not take the piss.

OK, so on the subject of accommodating people, it turns out I hadn't mentioned to my parents that the meetup was being extended, so they insist I make some points about the available space. To whit, friday and saturday nights we can put bodies wherever (Living ones, at least). After that, we're still OK for some people, but less, and we'll need to know in advance who they are obviously
Also, be aware on weekdays they may wake you up when they get up to go to work. Additionally, in deference to them, we'll probably not spend that much time actually in the house to avoid being in the way. We can find places to go or possibly invade my friends' houses (They won't mind (But yes, I will ask them first)). Related: still want suggestions for more post-meetup activities if you have them. (One thing which occurred to me somewhat via a friend is the possibility of spending a day playing the 'weekend-killer' version of the OotS game - and if we have more than 6 people, then they can just sub in for each other to allow people to take breaks! But I don't know how other, less crazy people will feel about that idea)
The main point my mum has asked me to make is that while I've kind of been operating so far on the principle that there is considerable space and we'll figure out where to put people, we should get that figuring out done before the people in question book train/coach tickets in general.

Which makes this kind of my big priority meetup-arranging-wise right now. I need to know who (if anyone) is arriving before the Friday, and who is staying beyond the Sunday (And for how much longer). And then we can match them up to the available space and argue over who gets to accommodate the pretty people.
