"No, that's i..." Ilpholin is slightly startled by the banging on the door.
"That's it." She reemphasizes, before standing to go and open the door with a slight scowl.

"Yes?" Why it's Moff!
... She already talked to Moff. Or was that Moff?

[Moff Chumley]

[Ilphy's Office]

The Moff nods to Ilphy, and blinks in surprise at Rot. "Evenin'. Congratulations, I guess, but someone'd better warn ya: Gordy's a tough act to follow. Got high expectations to live up to." The Moff keeps a commendably straight face. "Hope I'm not interuptin', but if you're in charge at the moment, I got something I gotta say."

The Moff generally doesn't announce his intention to say things, because that gives his victims too much of an opportunity to vacate. But I do suppose he's between Ilphy and the door...

[Ilphy's Office]

Ilpholin briefly considers the merits of trying to toss her desk through the wall to make a hole for her to run through.

But decides breaking her back for such a feat isn't worth it. She resigns herself to her Moffy fate.
"I'll keep the advice in mind. Now, what did you need to tell me?"

[Shadowcaller]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"I see. You're grateful to Lavthos for freeing you then?" Probably a supernatural compulsion as well. But if she's the only one Lavthos trusted, then it was probably more than that.

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"Of course I am, if he hadn't I would still be a monster today. Probably killed by some adventurer a long time ago, I recall our village had a resident vampire slayer. They knew how to slay what would be my kind." Cybil replies.

[Reinholdt]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"I see. So, why did you choose to rescue Rot?" So far she can't see the specific reason to deal with Rot at all.

[Shadowcaller]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"I didn't choose to rescue him, my master ordered me since he thought Rot might be valuable for him. He didn't tell me the specific reason but he was used to infiltrate a orphanage. It's a long story." Cybil tells Ilpholin with a handwave.

[Reinholdt]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"An... orphanage. By infiltrate, do you mean eat?" Cause when it comes to orphanages, that's pretty much all Rot does that she knows of. All the same, the story is very strange.

[Shadowcaller]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"No, Lavthos..." The earth vampire suddenly hesitates. "I'm not sure I should tell you this. From what I can tell Rot would be rather upset if I shared this information with you."

[Reinholdt]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

Oh?
Well now.
"You let me worry about Rot. It's not like I'm going to rub anything in his face or anything."

[Shadowcaller]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

Cybil sigh, "I really don't want him attempting to kill me because that's something I see him doing... But basically Lavthos transferred Rot's personality to a 10 year old boy who infiltrated the orphanage while the real Rot was incapacitated." She explains slowly.

[Reinholdt]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

To Ilpholin's credit, she manages to keep a straight face.

For all of five seconds.

"BWAHAHAHA!! Oh you gotta be kidding me! That's the most ridiculous... HAHAHAHAHA!!!"

[Moff Chumley]

[Ilphy's Office]

The Moff swallows, considers his next move for a brief moment, and blurts "I gotta quit." Then he blinks a few times and presses on. "AMEN's in good, and I use that term loosely, hands with you an' Mags. I can bail with peace of mind."

"Uh, sorry."

Has The Moff apologized before? Probably, but I can't seem to recall when...

[Ilphy's Office]

Well.
That wasn't expected at all.

"Oh. Uhh... ok. Any particular reason why that I should be aware of?" So she can fix the problem!

[Shadowcaller]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

Cybil laughs somewhat awkwardly, "...yeah, I guess that was pretty funny..." She moves fidgety in her chair.

[VampireRot]

[Ilpholin's Office]

Rot leaves! He nods to Moff on the way out, but doesn't stick around to hear any of the conversation. He makes his way to the Main Room and looks around thoughtfully.

[Moff Chumley]

[Ilphy's Office]

Well.
That wasn't expected at all.

"Oh. Uhh... ok. Any particular reason why that I should be aware of?" So she can fix the problem!

"Uh, problem's more with me than with y'all... casual cruelty's great as a means to an end, t'me, but it isn't as much an end in itself as I..." The Moff trails off. He could probably wax poetic for half an hour on the subject, but no one wants to hear him do that, least of all himself. "I've got other stuff to work on, other places to be. Didn't wanna give Gordy the satisfaction of beatin' me, but with him gone, not much of a risk of that, is there? 's time for me to go." Unhappy sigh.

The Moff should be planning some sort of memorable, dramatic exit. He might very well be, but it's looking increasingly less likely by the second... "I'll get outta yer hair. Good luck with the boss thing."

Oh, no Felt Moff, your MIne, and get to stay with me forever.

There's Dark Lord waving good bye, with the Felt Moff, or the Moff that was cut into tiny pieces, pushed together in high temperatures, cut up so more, repeat a few hundred times, into felt then formed into looking like himself, while being alive and awake the whole time.

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"Hehe."

Ilpholin takes a few calming breaths.

"Ok. Well I can't think of too many things to ask you that I'm not going to ask your boss. But why AMEN? We don't exactly have an alliance happy reputation." Yet.

[Ilphy's Office]

"Ah well... I'm personally hoping for a directed cruelty AMEN, but I understand. Good luck with the Moff thing. There will always be other Moffs here that miss you." I'm sure they'll comfort themselves by making out with other Moffs.

[Moff Chumley]

[Ilphy's Office]

"I guess."

"Be seeing you guys, I suppose."

The Moff exits the office without further fanfare, and will exit the base entirely unless someone stops him.

Lucky she is yes. However, the desk's lock is a bit different. Yes, it needs a key, but Gordon uses a key that is charged with electricty. Without that charge, the desk isn't going to open up without a bit of force.

Clarissa moves to twist her finger and release the lock only to find that it won't budge for her! Dang! Her finger isn't generating much of an electrical current, so it probably won't provide the energy required to zap the desk open! She doesn't realize this, of course, not being an expert at lockpicking by even the most sardonic or loose definitions of the word "expert." She does recognize (and by that I mean assume) that Ilphy will be furious with her if she wrecks her new office, for Clarissa does believe that Ilphy will be transferring all of her stuff into this chamber, even though that does not seem to be the case in the slightest.

She's going to resort to attempting to brute forcing the lock open. Not with pure muscle, however. That'd make too much of a mess. 'Twould be far too brazen and conspicuous an action for a member does not consider the relationship between herself and Ilpholin anything but the polar opposite of friendly. She's going to attempt to melt the lock open via the process of trying to confidently administering "judicious" doses of highly corrosive acid to the delicate inner workings of the lock. She hopes that a simple secretion of the stuff through her skin while it remains lodged in the lock will do the trick! If the materials composing the lock are for the most part chemically inert, the acid ploy will probably fail miserably. If the lock is extremely sturdy, this probably won't work either.

If this "eating away the lock" scheme doesn't work out in Clarissa's favor, she's going to attempt to rip her finger out of the lock and try to compromise the structural stability of the desk by trying to punch the writing surface of it violently with her fists! Grr! She'll be frustrated and swearing on and off if this happens! She wants the files and documents inside of that desk and possibly won't give up until she secures them!

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"I think it's because my masters goals lies more close to AMEN's then anyone else, the other organizations are not exactly what you could ally with for power." Cybil replies, sounding rather relived they moved on to another question.

[Reinholdt]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"Fair enough. Well I think that's all I need to ask at this time until I can talk to your boss. Do you have any questions?" Ilpholin asks Cybil.

Ilpholin's not stupid enough to believe she knows all. =x

[Ilpholin's Office - Rot]

"Again I have to congratulate you on surviving. Did you have any questions for me before we start?" She asks.

[Security Room]

Mister Squiggles, finally finished repairing HALlelujah, steps over to the door area and begins working on it and the nearby wall.

[Main Room]

Since nothing really happened here Zefir is just sitting around watching TV for now.

Not only does that not make any sense in the context used, the entire connotation behind what little is decipherable is rather insulting and thoroughly unappreciated.

But whatever.

[Security Room -> Mag's Room]

Mister Squiggles finishes working on the door and heads off to meet with Ilpholin. Ilpholin, for her part is looking for Magtok and knocking on his door. Many of the interviews have been done, and it seems she'd have to hunt down some stragglers, but for now, it's time to talk with her most important staff member.

[Lord Magtok]

Mag's Room

A Magbot answers the door. "I'm afraid his lordship is busy right now, ma-"

The Magbot stops speaking, taking a moment to lean its head forward and peer intently at Ilpholin's face. The next time it opens its mouth, it sounds completely different.

"Oh, Ilpholin. My bad, set it to that prerecorded message nonsense to keep folks out of my room while I had the Magbots renovate it a little. Might actually use these quarters, now that things are changing and all, so I thought I'd both upgrade the security and jazz up the decor for it. Not there myself both because it's safer just to have the Magbots do things, and also since I'm having lunch at home right now.

You can still come in, but I won't be speaking to you in person, and you can only walk on the red floor tiles, because pressure applied to the blues ones activates one of those security things, and I haven't finished testing it so I don't know if I'd be able to override the telewarps in time."

[Shadowcaller]

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"Yes, I'm afraid I don't really know that much about AMEN but... is there any rules at all you can think to mention?" Cybil asks with an raised eyebrow.

[Reinholdt]

Mag's Room

"Ah. Well, that's part of the reason here. Mister Squiggles has installed a handprint scanner and numberlock keypad to the Security Room. You, me, and a few select members and henchmen will have access. So I wanted to get your handprint in the thing so it can recognize you and such. Had a few other things to discuss with you too. Since you were kind enough to invite me over for lunch, I'll meet you at your place for that."

Mister Squiggles chitters. Chitter chitter.

[Ilpholin's Office - Cybil]

"Stay away from Inside, try not to draw too much attention to what we're doing, and please avoid killing anyone in the base that's actually useful if it can be helped."

[Lord Magtok]

Mag's Room

If not for the vast distance between them right now, Ilpholin would probably notice a rather strange look on Magtok's face, a contorted expression containing equal amounts surprise, dismay, and helpless indignation.

"...I'll see you soon, then. Disable remote speech function. Abort. End of message...Undo? Shoot, what was the off button? I think it was-"

The Magbot suddenly leaps backwards, the door to the room closing on its own as it tumbles to a clumsy heap on the floor.

Mag's Room

Tsk. Surely they're still friends right? No need for indignation and dismay!

All the same, Ilpholin leaves Mister Squiggles to go visit the MagCave.

Mister Squiggles goes looking for Mr. E who has some info for him supposedly.

I'm sorry if it was insulting. The who knows was related to her knowledge. I thought she knew more of him and actually there is only one thing Zefir really kept a secret from her.

It's time to act. Zefir will first go to his Room and will then leave the base. some important things have to be done right now.
