If the door is unlocked, and everyone is ready, Ryx will slowly open the door to try and catch a glimpse of what may be inside. He then steps aside, incase something sinister is inside, Ryx would rather Savin clear the entryway with his spear or chain.

With the decision, obviously being slow to be made, halting the group, Ryx fiddles with the doorhandle, How can we move in the correct direction when we don't know what the correct direction is, how will we know we don't miss something, hell they could have taken the prisoners this way knowing they have to search everywhere to be sure they don't miss something, like letters or maps, which both have been found already.

If a decision is not made, Ryx makes it for the group, flinging the door open to reveal whatever is in side.

Maesyn agrees with Ryxikor but for a different reason as the Lord Dusk Passage is the group only way back to the material plane.

Savin agrees with Maesyn and support the idea to open the door to the tower.

Rayen swtiches to the majority and Quill, wondering why these stranger people do not listen to him, instructs his familiar to go to that room and be on guard.

Ryxikor tests the door handle and find it unlocked. He slowly opens it and his eyes open wide in horror as Savin is pushing him with his spear..

The foul smell of gore and viscera permeate this dark room. The chamber seems to be the first story of the keep's tower, and is octagonal in shape. A decrepit spiral staircase leads to the upper floor of the •tower. The dismembered corpses of several humans, dwarves and elves hang from hooks and chains along the opposite wall.

A tall, powerful creature that looks like an upright six-limbed tiger snarls at the group. It is covered in gray and black fur and its face combines humanoid features with those of a big cat. "You are not supposed to here" it hisses. “Good! I need fresh meat."

Axara says turns white at the horrific scene.

Edit: May have to change this post due to change of plan

Ryxikor can't help but show a little surprise, not really expecting such a gruesome sight at the first door he opened. The elf's eyes quickly dart around the room, noting the elven corpses, and making sure no other enemy is hidden about.

"Yes, yes you are correct. We obviously are not suppose to be here." the mercenary stammers out, and as he tries to back up, feels the point of Savin's spear, which in turns reminds Ryx to try and stay in character of a dominated pawn. He keeps his hands down, hiding his dagger and vial in the folds of his cloak, as he tries to back up and maybe draw the creature into the room the heroes are in, where they could possibly surround it. If the creature charges or moves to attack, Ryx backs up defensively.

    edit:
But, Ryx realizes Savin has different plans when he feels the spear tip digging into his back, Unfortunately, the plan has me out in front the elf thinks to himself

As he gets pushed forward, Ryx's only option is to head to the opposite side of the stairs as the creature. If any hostilities occur, on Savin's part or the creature's or anyone elses, Ryx darts to his right, to move around the stairs.

Maesyn and Quill do not have much if any knowledge of the planes but they both think the creature is a large outsider and Maesyn knows that this kind of creature has always tricks up their sleeves.

Savin pushes Ryxikor inside the room and the pretending to be dominated rogue goes to the right of the monster. The plainsman then mentions Mhair and that he is following orders. Axara enters the room, pretending to be dominated.

The ghirrash growls at Savin “What are you talking about? Who is this Mhair? You should know that recruits come alone and follow the lighted path. Take them there but leave this one for me.” He points to Axara “I like my meat to be juicy and round. Have her undress. They don’t taste good when cooked in their armor.

The gharrish laughs and shows its sharp teeth, waiting for Axara to take off her armor. The priestess looks at Savin and the others, waiting to see if she continues to pretend or not..

Rayen is at the entrance of the room with Maesyn behind her and Quill at her side. The wizard has already prepared what he will do if there is a need to fight to ghirrash.

Ryx watches as the cleric falls unconscious. He quickly pops the cork off the vial he holds, of the potion he just received from Axara from her superiors, and downs it's contents. The elf then drops the vial and reaches under his cloak, grasping something hooked on the back of his weapon's belt. He unhooks it and brings it from under his cloak, and as he does a long leather whip unfurls behind him.

    Spell Resistance: No; see text

This spell wards a creature from attacks by evil creatures, from mental control, and from summoned creatures. It creates a magical barrier around the subject at a distance of 1 foot. The barrier moves with the subject and has three major effects.

First, the subject gains a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saves. Both these bonuses apply against attacks made or effects created by evil creatures.

Second, the barrier blocks any attempt to possess the warded creature (by a magic jar attack, for example) or to exercise mental control over the creature (including enchantment (charm) effects and enchantment (compulsion) effects that grant the caster ongoing control over the subject, such as dominate person). The protection does not prevent such effects from targeting the protected creature, but it suppresses the effect for the duration of the protection from evil effect. If the protection from evil effect ends before the effect granting mental control does, the would-be controller would then be able to mentally command the controlled creature. Likewise, the barrier keeps out a possessing life force but does not expel one if it is in place before the spell is cast. This second effect works regardless of alignment.

Third, the spell prevents bodily contact by summoned creatures. This causes the natural weapon attacks of such creatures to fail and the creatures to recoil if such attacks require touching the warded creature. Good summoned creatures are immune to this effect. The protection against contact by summoned creatures ends if the warded creature makes an attack against or tries to force the barrier against the blocked creature. Spell resistance can allow a creature to overcome this protection and touch the warded creature

A priestess to a good goddess is dying or even dead and there most combat hardy companion is on his last leg after the creature broke through it's defences... once.

The gnome isn't that desperate yet to risk drowning. He takes a deep breath and tries to grandstand to hide is fear the song of the bard helps him in a small way.

Ryx is almost shocked to see Savin take such a beating. The elven mercenary instinctively reaches for the potion flask attached to his potion belt, his one invisibility potion, as he glances towards the open door to this horror chamber. Knowing there is another healer in the group, Maesyn, Ryx hopes he is able to help both Axara and Savin.

Realizing now is not the time to try out his new uncomfortable whip, he drops it behind him and draws his rapier, as he rushes in to flank the monster with Savin. Once in position, Ryx lashes out with organripper, searching for a vital area on the beast.

Savin reels for the savage attack, spitting blood out as he smiles wickedly as he feels his life ebbing.
Wiping his face with the back of his hand, he blurts out "Now you die, foolish creature." as his chain arcs high and low as it lashes out.

Rayen watches her breath weapon have no effect on the creature. She still wants to get to Axara and get in between the creature and the fallen cleric. So she circles around the stairs, leaving the men to attack the creature head on. When she gets close to Axara, she kneels down behind the cleric and sees if she can do anything for her even though she is not a healer. If nothing can be done, she tries to determine if she can at least move the cleric.

As the others see to Axara, Ryx sheaths his weapons and picks up his new whip, coils it up and hooks it back to his belt. If the elf sees no more enemy lurking about and feels as if it's safe enough, he searches the body's of the dead for anything of value or use. Afterwards, the rogue searches throughout the room, looking for anything that may aid the group or that may peak the elf's interest.

Hearing the gnome once again bark out orders to the group, gives Ryx an idea, "Bookmeister, how about letting her go up stairs and scout around for us? I'd have to work to match her stealth, that she could do with ease."
