He said before that state-sanctioned doctors and wrights had told him that there's no hope, but Winalils provided him with some sort of Black Tongue pymary.

As I understand it, Winalils isn't literally holding his life in his hands with any required continued treatment, he just gave him the pymaric graft, and expects Elan to repay that debt. Which is what Elan had been asking about with Sette, if helping deliver Duane would fulfill said debt.

    The inevitable:

Toby dies. Elan dies. Duane goes into the pain inducer. Personally, I also feel confirmed that the silver is going to be used against Creche - that whole bit about hiring out their revolution.

Tho in actual fact I feel it may never make it out of Ethelmik. It seems rather foreshadowed that it's going to go off before that.

    Fun times =)

Hopefully he's stuck only talking to Sette instead of being able to actually come through.

No, remember, the khert isn't holding in the ghosts anymore. And they want blood. Guess what Murkoph wants? Oh, right, blood.

I think worst-case scenario here is Murkoph gets out and gets control of the silver. Whether he would be able to control it or not is something that I haven't the foggiest, but I'm fairly certain that a being with his intellect and particular... tastes... controlling a weapon of that power is a bad thing.

I still wonder what his connection to Ssael is. He clearly knew some of the doctrine behind that faith (no suicide, no plods, etc), so where does that lead us?

Well, there is something that's still keeping him at bay, otherwise we wouldn't have this display of (poor) diplomacy...

Oh man, I'm catching up for the first time in forever. Here's what I remember of the events before:

    • Duane and Sette kill a tree-beast
    • Duane and Sette run into the Red Berry Boys
    • Duane and Sette fight Quigley
    • Duane and Sette end up in a fetish hotel, where Duane goes ape**** on a criminal
    • Sette meets Murkoph in the Weave-equivalent
    • Duane and Sette share an emotional moment

    Did I get most things?

Noooope. Because if they had just forgotten about it, the board would have disappeared by now. Solidity is a core aspect so the khert would have core-leached it out of existence.
