As a matter of fact, yes. The pawns, like you, can't jump over other pieces. But the dux, the general... Samael nimbly flips over Civvy's head before handing her the DS back. ...can jump over pawns. Pawns are taken when they are surrounded... He suddenly tries to push her into a wall and place his hands on the wall around her so she can't escape. ...or cornered.

Perhaps surprisingly, given his total jerk behavior to everyone, Samael keeps the kiss short and soft and breaks it off when Civvy makes negative noises. I guess I'm not that surprised you're horrible at kissing too. You're supposed to go "Mmmm~" and sound all happy, not make a noise like someone woken out of sleep by the sensations of a gloved hand covering their mouth and a blade sliding between their ribs.
