I agree with Deadly here. Fancy liked Rarity as well as her friends. He is way more down to earth then Blueblood. Heck it seems him or Filthy Rich would be fine as they understand how more common ponies live. But seeing how Rarity knows Fancy more it seems a more logical pairing.

There is no Blind Bag female G4 toy today, or any toy at all, besides, unlike Star Swirl who was consistently female in all generations including unprecedented G4 presence Lickety Split only appeared in one generation 30 years ago, and that was that (if you don't count vaguely similar G3 Lickity). It's prehistory having no bearing in this case.

Plus, I have done some research into Blind Bag canonicity, and besides giving a lot of ponies names, like Heartstrings or Breezie, Blind Bag ponies started appearing in show on Hasbro's orders. One example is early BB Blossomforth that appeared first as this toy, then was given normal toy (without special custom art like Star Swirl), then was elevated to full show pony with her own speaking lines.

So, if anything, Blind Bags trump show as it is FiM that bends to accommodate them than the other way around

I'm pretty much incapable at this point of taking any of these theories of yours seriously any more.
But if we pretend for a moment that you are serious, think of it this way;
The Starswirl referenced in the show is clearly implied to be male, (Beard, male pronouns etc). He is historically important, and still well known and regarded in the correct circles.
Wouldn't it be more likely than not that his descendants would, from time to time, name their offspring after their most famous ancestor?
Starswirl the Bearded, great(repeat as necessary) grandfather of Starswirl the not-bearded.

Tea Bag needs to be a unicorn. Rim a pegasus that is with the Royal Guard. Snowball is innocent enough to also be in the show. Pole Dancer is just funny and needs to be a foal (dun ask why just popped into my head).

First that is directly contradicted by Starswirl the Bearded, father of the amniomorphic spell. Explicit identification as a male on air in the show means the toy is completely meaningless.

Second, far as I know Hasbro does historically maintain a canon. I would point to the Transformers where toy depictions and descriptions have little to zero bearing on the show tie-ins, which have at times been running more then one continuity at once.

So the position that anything not established on-air is so much fanon is an opinion of equal weight unless you can establish it otherwise. Namely by relevant WoG from Hasbro on the matter.

G4 toys are about as G2 ones.

On a more serious topic, I'm not sure I'm down with the Derpy/Doctor ship to be honest. Though the characters kind of work together, in as much as derpy is adorable, the Doctor is usually at his best when he sidesteps such things, and some of the least interesting bits of New-Who have been the insistance on romantic subplots involving him. Though, the Doctor Whooves stuff I've encountered mostly seems grounded in New Who heritage anyway, so I suppose such a ship is kind of inevitable, really.

Alright. Now tell me why?

I don't think I could come up with any combination of all the Mane 6 that I feel would work well. I can pair some of them, but not all six. I also think it's a little boring if all of them only date each other when there are some obvious and great ships if you expand the shipping pool a bit. Like Rarity is totally gonna end up with Fancy Pants, there's no way it can't happen, anything else - especially any of the mane 6 - are going to be poor choices for her.

Likewise with AJ and Pinkie, they're not too easy to ship within that tiny circle of friends. I suppose Thanqol did a great job with Twilight and AJ, and Pinkie Shy works a bit too, for some stories, but it's not ... super convincing in general. Not to me, at least.

It's like, you can come up with a way for almost any (reasonable) ship to work, if everything is made to fit around the idea of that ship, but you can't throw most ships into any random story and have it work. Only a few ships work in general because they don't need a whole lot of rationalization to appear viable to most people. Most ships need a lot of work and explainin' before people will accept the premise.

Agreed within the Mane 6 the only two I would ship together is Flutterdash. As for Fancy Pants X Rarity I think that would likely work. Rarity does want to move to Canterlot (She says so pretty often), we have no evidence that Fleur is Fancy Pants marefriend (My new headcanon is that she is like that mechanic from TTGL)

The two seem perfect for each other. We've already seen that Dash is willing to slow down for and protect Fluttershy. Rainbow Dash is constantly pushing her to be better, but almost never goes to far in doing so. Rainbow Dash is always willing to help Fluttershy and seems to want Fluttershy to be part of her life more and more. She goes out of her way to include Fluttershy as well as gives things up to make her happier.

Fluttershy is willing to push her boundaries for Rainbow Dash. She understands Rainbow Dash perhaps better then anypony else. Fluttershy is also one of the ponies who can take care of Dash. She can't keep up with Dash which is actually a good thing (Rainbow Dash cannot handle competition very well. This is why I think AppleDash is doomed to failure). She seems willing to join Rainbow Dash, as long as she can continue to care for animals she'll be fine. She already admires Rainbow Dash and tries to help Dash when she can.

TwilightXLuna or Celestia because

Of her devotion to Celestia. Her opinion matters most. As long as Celestia stands by Twilight she can handle anything, even being alone. I mean her stated wish for the best night ever? Is spending the night with Celestia talking.

Twilight is one of the very few ponies who is willing to treat royalty as a pony instead of a princess. She does not fear them and is more then willing to help them as a friend.

Luna has a good chance with Twilight because I think she's one of the few ponies who could break through Twilight's devotion to Celestia in order to win her over. Luna already respects Twilight and is willing to trust her. As Twilight is one of the few ponies who can get past her being an Alicorn they make a good match. Furthermore Twilight is a pony who frequently pulls all nighters. She is also an astronomer so that's likely another plus in Luna's book.

Fancypants seems to be Rarity's dream stallion. He is at the very least interested in Rarity. Rarity does want to move to Canterlot and become famous so marrying Fancypants would help her ambitions as well. He also seems to be one of the few competent ponies in the Canterlot Elite and thus could have an equal relationship with Rarity.

Overall I would treat him as a teenager. But that isn't all of the problems.

After all he will live for hundeads if not thousands of years.

Ponies presumably do not live nearly as long.

Also he will become much much bigger then anypony else.

He may be a 'teenager' for quite some time yet.

This quickly teaches the young dragon restraint so they can actually keep their stuff. It also teaches them that physical power is of utmost importance.

Well, he has been growing. To be exact, compare a pic of him from the first episode to one from season two. He's getting bigger, at the very least. By the time the CmC are of good shipping age (teen's), he would probably be about as tall as a pony. Even better if we assume those teen dragons where not in there fifties and that Spike will undergo growth spurt.

Diving into the later issues are someone elses domain. I generaly avoid sad shiping stories as much as I can.

I have officially given up on maintaining a consistent colour scheme with the CADed Jalyrkieons (the army wil have one, though); partly because the first model was a different colour set (C&C GLA colour scheme in fact, as before the Jalyrkieons, it was nominallt slated for them...) So I thought sod it, may as well make them as colourful as their inspirations at this stage...!

A no-prize for anyone who actually recongises the shape.



I think I have aired my opinions on Spike, Rarity and Spike/Rarity (which there is strong evidence (relatively) for) often enough not to have to restate in detial...

Short (relatively) version for the newercomers: Spike is old enought to be left alone for days and even put in charge of other dependants, and thus I place him at mid-late-teen equivilent age (older than the CMC). Age gaps are irrelevant to relationships anyway (provided minimums are met, which as I say I ascribe Spike to being, or very close to). If Spike out-ages everypony, then shipping him with any of the CMC has identical problems to shipping him with Rarity (et al); if not, the gap is meaningless shortly anyway. I ferverantly do not like the proposition ("popular" in the earlier days of the fandom) that Spike will end up miserable and alone (because Spike is clearly by nature antithetical to the traditional dragon mindset in personality, being personable and preferring to socialise), after out-living anyone¹ (because for cryin' out loud, if you can't get a happy ending in My Little Pony, then seriously what the hell); if it comes to that, there's always the Lúthien Tinúviel option. (Surely the much-vaunted power of love would find a way... (If not - then it clearly isn't all it's cracked up to be - good news for my side, then!)) However, I am also fairly convinced Spike is also a different subspecies of dragon anyway, which may not follow the same rules.
