Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Thank you very much, Mr. Burn (or would you prefer Drake )
But yeah, I've been looking fer a DnD community for a while now. This should certainly provide the peak of the journey for me. Plenty to do and talk about you say? Sounds right up my alley.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hello, I am new here and have never used forums. I have read all of OOTS strips and enjoy DnD but have little to no experience.
I am just a worthless liar.
I am just an imbecile.
I will only complicate you.
Trust in me and fall as well.
I will find a center in you.
I will chew it up and leave,
I will work to elevate you
Just enough to bring you down.
Tool.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Greetings. I've been reading OOTS for quite a while, and I've played AD&D2 and 3.5e. It wasn't until recently that I started browsing the forums, and I think this looks like a nice place to get into. Good to be here.

Hi there. I was directed here because of the apparently wonderful community, which is a thing there aren't enough of on the web. I hope to have fun here.

Time to give some hugs to the newcomers!
SO, welcome to Ramon and TrioThePunch (Ramon, I'm almost sure there's someone from Perù. It's more difficult to remember the name...)
Also, welcome to OhJohnNo... I wonder if you share the same musical tastes of AllIHaveIsCrunk.Do I contradict myself?

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Good morning, good day, good afternoon, good evening. Whichever fits your timezone best. New to playing tabletop rpgs having begun earlier this year. My local region is tabletop challenged so I've come here hoping to amend this grievious error. Preferably through an online medium. Action Replay, AR, or Lurker, use which name you find amusing. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Make your own. There's the media section for that. (Try Google just in case, since the search function 'round here is MIA)
Good luck in that endeavor. I'm in a forum PF game to get my fix since my friends 'round here are taking forever to schedule meeting times. So, it works out often, although obviously they're not always as fast as a live game due to the nature of a forum.Spako Highclaws by Ceika.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Howdy neighbours! Long time lurker, first time poster. Used to be (under davethebrave or davethebrave371, I don't recall) a regular on some of the old WotC boards, especially the Eberron boards. Recently an old group of close friends and fellow gamers that I ran through a 3+ year long bi-weekly/weekly (depending on people's schedules) Eberron game wanted me to reboot it or continue it or something. I decided to homebrew something instead, inspired by this thread and now I'm registering because dagnabbit I should've been in this playground a long time ago.
Yours,
Dave the Brave

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Ah Brock, Play by Post is a wonderful way to get your game fix!!
There's some great info here: http://www.unseenservant.us/forum/vi...php?f=33&t=858
But essentially you play by posting your actions in the game thread. The. The DM posts what happens. Most PbP forums also have electronic dice too, though some games the DM is fine with letting you roll your own dice.
The biggest draw back is that the pace can be slow. But it's a great way to try new games or get back into the games you loved when you were younger. At Unseen Servant we have old school D&D games, as well as a Star Wars d6 game a Castles and Crusades game, some Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG games, and new games in the works. Right now a Tomb of Horrors game is starting and a Metamorphosis Alpha game is in the works.
I like it, especially since I haven't been able to play face to face lately. You should definitely check it out!
--Ron--
Edit: Strawberries beat me in. But it's good you have different looks at PbP. Enjoy!Last edited by rredmond; 2012-12-10 at 04:01 PM.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Oh golly I am truly awful at formal things like introductions!
My name is Frank! I recently rediscovered OOTS after I found my copies of the first two print collections of the comic, and I've been chugging through the archive like I was a basement dweller binging on code red! OOTS was the first webcomic I ever read or even knew about! In fact, I am pretty sure a profile from when I was still an obnoxiously precocious child is growing fungi on it's dusty coat of mold somewhere on these forums! But I'll be damned if I can remember the password, let alone the actual username!
But enough of stuff that could just be hazy false memories, I should tell a bit about my life! As I said before, my name is Franklin. I am writing this post under the effects of 473 ml of Red Bull, I have been playing tabletop games since before I could do basic multiplication calculations, I have been playing a crapload of campaigns using obscure and sometimes hacknyed systems in recent years! My wall has footprints on it from before I moved into this house! I am also sort of good at pretending that I am not worryingly depressed in social situations!
I think that about covers the basics, sorry for rambling, I blame the copious quantity of caffeine in my system! See you guys around!
