Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hi everyone. Long time gamer, been out of practice since I moved away from my last group several years ago. Interesting place you all have here, looking forward to learning. I do have an observation and a question. In the text at the top that tells me to read the rules and keep hello I'm new chatter to the new member intro thread, the link is several thread revisions behind this one. Not complaining just an fyi. I also notice there is no search functionality, or am I just missing it?

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hi, Simon of Aragon, Callin, Asahel24601, wargamerbrasil, Dr. Corndog, Pandoren, and TinyHippo! Welcome to the Playground (phew, lotta new people!)
TinyHippo, regarding your two points: The link to say hello when you first sign up is chronically out of date -- we go through these threads pretty quick and the mods are pretty busy, so it's usually a while before it gets updated.
More importantly, the search function has been turned off due to server issues. We all hope it will be back soon, but until then the best workaround is to search for

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Yo. Quick question, where do we post about Pathfinder stuff? Is it in the 3.5 section?
Also, why can't I view threads started by other people? I was drawn here by SilverClawShift's awesome campaigns and was hoping to browse some of the threads she created. But it says I don't have permission. :(Last edited by Mahou; 2013-04-29 at 02:55 AM.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Yep, 3.5, PF and other d20 games all go in that section.
Because the search feature is disabled and "find more posts by" uses the search feature.Last edited by Savannah; 2013-04-29 at 02:57 AM.

Just for info, there should be an ongoing update, and PF could have a more dedicated place.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Greetings. The name is Sachiko, and I have been lurking enough time to warrant making an actual account and do something worthwhile in the forums. I am a lover of all things tabletop gaming. I've been out of practice for a while, but I am always looking for ways to end my period of abstinence.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hello everyone, my name is Raegar.
While this is my first time posting, I'm been lurking around these forums(specifically Pathfinder discussions) and reading OotS for quite some time.
I am a recovering min/maxer, I DM one pathfinder game, and play a fighter in another.
I love games in all forms, and I've been working as a QA project manager at a gaming company in California for the past five years.

Hello everyone. I've been reading OOTS for several years now, and finally decided to join in the fun. %)
Yeah, and recent site shut-down was perhaps another reason to see what's hidden in the forums.

Finally decided to join up to the forums after a long time lurking. I'm hoping to be able to do a pbp for the first time ever on here but not quite sure where to start.
I'm supposed to put something witty here... Nope nothing

Hello everyone.
I'm a long time, sporadic lurker. Not just here, pretty much everywhere. I spend most of my time in the Homebrew forum, but I lurk elsewhere from time to time.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hello there, fellow forumgoers :)
After increasing amounts of lurking around here, I finally decided to register and say hello.
I've been an obsessive OOTS reader since 2005, and I'm a big fan of tabletop roleplaying in general. I've played several 3.5 games in the past, and am currently still involved in a long standing 4th edition game.
So uh, yeah. Hi.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hallo, long (longer then that) time lurker, but wanted to set down roots.
I've been DM'ng for years now, and am running two games at once, one for my school, and one for higher level adventures.
I typically play a Paladin or wizard/cleric/Lyricist, but have wanted to play a bard for some weird reason...
All in 3.5! Long live complex rules that contradict themselves!"Power resides where men believe it resides. No more and no less."

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Greetings, everyone! I'm Mystia, a relatively recent lurker in the forum I think (one or two months only, maybe?), but I've been a 3.5 DM for a while, five years more or less (even if I'm sure that's relatively a short time span! Despite it being 30% of my whole lifetime). I really grew fond of this forum quite quickly, because I realized just how much there is that I don't know yet, there's just so much to learn, and well, I love to learn, especially if that means improving my DM skills so the game is even more enjoyable both for me and for my players, and because I just like knowledge anyway.
Ah well, besides being a DM, I'm also a 14th level slightly insane Dread Necromancer girl who shares my name, and claims to be a scientist, whose dream is to complete her father's research to create a "perfect form of life" (yes, life, not undeath; as ironic as that may be, since her father was not only a necromancer as well, but also Death Delver). My "past lifes" include a whimsical ninja ghost-faced killer, a vengeful half-fey spellsword, a cursed blackguard and a legolas-flavoured ranger. (lots of lifes, since our house rule is "ressurrection is impossible", it's a good rule since it makes you regard life more highly, despite it sounding unforgiving, it works well with a few tweaks on some insta-death effects.)
Ah, umm.. So I just stopped by so say hi! I probably will be often around, lurking like a experient assassin, and sometimes popping up when I think I may have something to add to a discussion, or when I have a question, even if I may be quite shy most of the time. Cya!

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hello everyone!
I read all the comics now and they are really funny and exciting and I also like all the characters. Yes all of them! My favorite good character is Haley because she is really awesome and she has a bow and I like bows. And my favorite evil character is Redcloak because he wants to do something good for all the goblins.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
I finally decided to join the GitP fun and madness.
I've been gaming since 1984. My first character was a human paladin, I've worked at the local Ren Faire and I've been banned from playing Kender by not one but two groups over the years.
Wheeeee!

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Greetings, and/or salutations, whichever you may prefer.
Long time reader and fan of the Order, and DM of a long-running campaign (in which I have drawn much inspiration from The Giant's incredible story ). Many useful things from within these forums have wound up at my gaming table, so I felt I should make myself known. Now I will be able to actually express thanks to those authors whose wonderful ideas mingle with my own devious cruelties to my hapless players... mwahaha.
Nice to meet all you peoples!
