Further, Elly might not have been as distracted trying to make piece with the elf (I forget how to spell her name off the top of my head.), if Ardon hadn't gotten her whole party killed and made her an enemy to feed his own ego in the first place.

counter counter point: This would not have stoped the child from being hyperactive, this would not have helped the elf keep an eye on him, and this would not have prevented those two guards from being in that spot at that time. Ell was only present for these events, she did not cause them to happen. There is a chance the boy's father might have not left his song in the room if there was only one adventurer present, however he stated he was in a rush, so it is always possible he would have asked the elf to do it alone.

Counter Counter Counter Point: The Elf similarly would either not have been there had Ardon not gotten the rest of her party wiped out and stolen the money for the win she got fair in square out from under her by lying until she gave up. Further, she would not have been on bad terms with Elly and she would have had her party if not for Ardon. thus, either

A) Paladin doesn't distract elf from mission cause they can get along well enough to just focus on the job at hand,

or

B) Elf uses other party members of her own and Paladin get's a different job for her respective party, and this doesn't happen cause now the Elf is working with her own party. thus giving her less internal conflict to contend with and possibly more Manpower.
