Re: Favourite Character Tournament
You could have posted that right after the first post.
The OP could have gone, "The randomizer determined these four matches...so, after simply eliminating the two no-names, Gortok, and the dwarven bomber, the next match will be..."Orth Plays: Currently Baldur's Gate II

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
If you don't think these matches are competitive enough, you may not enjoy the next... well, almost the entire first round -_-. There's a reason these are going up four at a time.
And Rookie Cop was a very important character. He's featuring in one of the supplemental stories Giant promised to make in his suicidally extensive list of Kickstarter rewards. So there

Plus I'm pretty sure you really did know who was going to win each of those.Orth Plays: Currently Baldur's Gate II

Bandwagon'd!
Roy, Gortok, Malack, Daigo. At least now I can get back to enjoying my glass of elven wine in peace and quiet, without being called on to intervene in someone else's problems.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Roy. No contest.
Gortok. Banjo isn't a character.
Malack. A tough decision. I like the dwarf, but Malack rules.
Daigo. I don't like the cop very much.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
I'm going to be the devil's advocate in my votes, just because I can. And because it won't matter anyway...
1. Roy - ok...even as devil's advocate I have limits. I just couldn't bring myself to vote otherwise, sorry Knot-Topped dude
2. Gortok the Destroyer
3. 'Kaboom' Redaxe
4. Rookie Cop

Banjo is not a character, it's a prop. Even if it can summon micro-thunderclouds. *sets up micro lightning rod*

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Roy Greenhilt. I can't even remember the resistance leader.
Gortok, for he has more personality and power than Banjo, who must gain his power from his followers.
Malack because I can't help but like intelligent antagonists. 'Kaboom' was alright in his own way, but not memorable enough to stand a chance.
Daigo Da-, mainly because for some reason the cops didn't interest me too much. Well, neither did Daigo Da-, but a little more so than the latter.
Also, of the four characters who are doomed to lose, I think that Gortok will make the strongest showing. He even made an impression on Belkar, so that must mean something.Administrator of the DnD gaming server, Sea of Dragons: Moonsea - a Persistent World set in the Forgotten Realms that uses the Neverwinter Nights 2 game.

You can call me Juniper. Please use gender-neutral pronouns (ze/hir (preferred) or they/them) when referring to me.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Gortok 13-25 Banjo
Rookie Cop 12-26 Daigo
So, they're both pretty close to each other. Gortok has the advantage of having one of the better quotes, and being against someone who a lot of people won't vote for as Banjo isn't really a character per se.
Sorry if I spoiled the current tally for anyone who wasn't sure who was winning

Eh, not hard for me.78% of all DM's start their first campaign in a tavern. If you're among the 22% who didn't, copy and paste this into your signature and tell us where you DID begin. The players were attacked individually on the road on the way to town by werewolves. To survive, they had to team up then and there without knowing anything about eachother (literally -- all character sheets were completed without other players' knowledge).

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Voting for Roy and Malack, not voting on the other two categories. Don't really care enough about those four to bother.
