Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Roy Even though he's the straight man, Belkar plays well off of him and that gives him points based on association. Malack's okay, but I prefer Roy overall.
And Nale Because Pete is terrible. I'm not a fan of Nale so much, but I like him better than Pete.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
So it looks like 32-31 in Roy's favour at the moment?

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
I agree with this. I actually did assume that the Loser's Cup would work like most double elimination tournaments seem to do, ie everyone gets a second chance. Seems it's only for the ones who lost in the first round. Although I would have preferred a more traditional Loser's Bracket, this is better than nothing, and I would have liked the tournament even if there were no Loser's Bracket.
Perhaps we should have this every year? New characters are introduced and old characters might develop, so why not? Would be fun, at least.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Roy - Boy was this tough, but I like Roy's personality just a little more than Malack's affability and vampirism.
Nale - He's better than PeteThanks to Dirtytabs for the Avatar!

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
A losers bracket does indeed give a better indication of relative placement of participants. It does not give a perfect picture, but i did not claim that. The more matches had between the contestants, the better the placement will match the actuality, since the importance of the seeds will fall.
I cannot see how this is not obvious, especially considering the malack/enor example i gave in the post you chose to discredit.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
I also thougth the LC meant the loser's bracket of a double elimination tournament, and I was happy since Nale is in my personal Top-5 (don't judge me!) and I wasn't around when he was out. Likely some other R1 results would have my vote as well as the many people that got here after some results were decided. Who knows what would happen if X close match is up to voting again?
But it depends on oppyu, I bet this takes too much time, so whatever he does it's okay with me as long as it remains fun, as it is right nowMy Player Registry entry.

Come on Malack! I want to know what happens in the event of a draw. XD

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Wow, people are really turning out to vote on this match up. I can only hope the next round of... Wizard Guy vs. Sabine attracts the same enthusiasm

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
We don't really want it to end in a tie, because that just means the third guy will play Nader in the next round unless some crazy strong contender is next. Better to decide it now, IMO.

Roy - This is a hard one, but I'll pick Roy because he is the main protagonist.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Malack - much more enjoyable.
And... sure, Old Blind Pete. Lately, whenever Nale is around I wish him thousand deaths, each one more creative then the last. For some reason, I don't feel then kind of sentiment towards Pete

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Roy- close, but we've known Roy much longer, and the whole vampire thing didn't impress me, Malack.
Nale- sorry Pete, but you aren't very interesting, even if I want Nale to die.

I thought he was only up by one?
Wait, missed a post, never mind. Shouldn't try counting at four in the morning.Last edited by Raineh Daze; 2013-04-06 at 09:54 PM.
