Of course there are absolute truths and lies, with no shades. If I say a pencil is blue, and the pencil is red, and I want to deceive someone else it's a lie. There aren't any shades of that. he statement about the colour is wrong, and the intentions are to deceive. Plain and simple.

Of course, if I say a violet pencil looks nice to spare someone's feeling even if I prefer blue pencils, and justify that to myself that violet is a bit like blue, we are entering a different territory.

Well, me putting Ponyard in nominal charge of the thread twice while I was away, which worked the first time (possibly because he didn't even know he had been put in charge)...not so much the second, though.

Boffinspark and Silent Night have continued to war on each other, I think, but aside from that it's been pretty quiet on the new front.



I think the only new pony-related information that's come out is the insinutation from some of the staff that season 3 is only thirteen episodes long (I hazard because Hasbro/the Hub would have originally commissioned 65 episodes) but they may well be a season 4 already in production. That's more extrapolation from twittered comments, though, than anything concrete, but seems reasonably likely.



Also, Ponythid committed suiciude by Lich.

You should talk to some kind of councilor about your concerns, (Both in relation to your dreams and your wider concerns with yourself and your enviroment) as they are more qualified to provide meaningful help than Ponythread, no matter how individually well balanced, wise and experienced they are.

As for the Dreams themselves, (if you aren't just lying about it of course, far be it from me that I, Bleakmane, would call someone out on such a pass-time as creative falsehood), it's worth understanding the usual meanings of things in dreams. As a lay-pony, the best I can suggest is that you are fixated on an issue. Rainbow Dash would likely either represent some element of yourself or some change you would like to make to yourself or your enviroment, or it's more prosaic and the dreams are on the wish-fullfillment end of the scale and you are simply lonely.
Chances are it means nothing.

Speaking of Chargen, my list of NPC's is woefully short. You guys who are GM's, how do you make and then keep track of your NPC's? Do you normally stat them out, or do you write a short bio for them?

I unfortunately have only really run D&D, and some minor FFRP. Sofor me, stats, personality and desired level of challenge all go hoof in talon. Joining all these RPs is an attempt to see how the rest of the world does it, and take notes.

I might keep occasional notes about their stats, but actual stats might not be useful if say, I built one using d20 and then need to reuse it for GURPS.

I share all of these concerns with you. All of them. Nevertheless, I remain confident that season 3 will be just as good as 1 and 2.

I am of the "they didn't botch the last set of weird stuff, they'll probably do fine with this one" mindset.

Interesting. The Lady from Nightmare Moon has better bone structure for Chrysalis than the Chrysalis one. And I appreciate the faux Egyptian aesthetic, but I don't see Celestia as quite the bare midriff type. Or Nightmare Moon, for that matter.

Current topic is generally a false preposition. We have several core topics, including canon, mythology, sauce-versus-Disney, Conjecture, RP, and art discussion. They interweave to make the whole thread. Sometimes, somepony comes along and weaves a new strand into the thread. Sometimes that strand sticks, others it doesn't.

But the thread as a whole has many parts, and you can just focus on the ones you find prudent. Leave the dystopian nuclear RP in its spoiler, skim the next season spoilers, and focus on the cute art and whimsical RP instead. No pony has read every word of the thread; even I, psychopath that I am, missed an eight page stretch back when. Don't sweat the topic too much. Well I mean, so long as its pony.
