    Milk in a bag!

With a drinking straw poked in it!

So you can drink out of the bag!

    With carrots and fried chicken!

It's pierogi, not pierogies. Pierogi is already plural. Pierog is singular. Also, they're Polish! You Canucks can't have them!

Ok, we don't have that. If you buy fast-food milk, it comes in a carton, and doesn't taste as good as the bagged milk.

No, bagged milk comes by the litre, and you stick it in a pitcher and cut off one corner. I mean, that's milk in a bag, but it's not BAGGED MILK.

And, see, in Canada, One Pierogi, two Pierogies. Or Perogi/Perogies. There you go, there's the difference. Canadian Perogies are pluralated differently!

Also sucks to be Polish, the Ukrainians have'em too.

There's bagged milk by the massive quantity in the USA, too. Or, at least, there is in Pennsylvania. I've never seen it this far south, personally.

That individual serving of bagged milk looks like a hassle. One would think they'd have gone with a Capri Sun style pouch or something.

Bah, your false pluralities are a heretical form of pierogi-speak. There are only Polskie pierogi.

Also, what are these pierogi in Ukraine you speak of? Perhaps you mean varenyky, or pyrohy? The pierogi are distinctly ours.

As I said: things come to Canada, they get mixed up with other things, they become Canadian things. To us, perogies are vaguely eastern european. You can find them at chinese-canadian restaurants. I think at that point they stop being a polish thing.

Pierogi...in Chinese-Canadian restaurants? The beloved food of my people...it is so very desecrated.

Also, yes, pierogi are pretty much the same thing as what the other Slavs make, but they don't use the same name, and cook them slightly differently.

Here, no matter how they're cooked, they're called perogies. Generally, you don't even have the first i in there, actually.
Also apparently ginger beef, generally found in chinese restaurants across the continent, was invented in Canada.

Makes sense. After all, Chow Mein was invented in America!

Western Washington is totally obsessed with our Native American history. Considering we (including the other parts of the Oregon territory) were settled so much later than everywhere else, it makes sense.

    *breaks down sobbing*

Yeah, you really can get perogies at chinese-canadian restaurants. Note: Chinese-Canadian restaurants are different from Chinese restaurants. One is "food just like you get in China", the other is "food my granddad cooked when he first came to Canada in the late 19th century", which includes chinese, faux-chinese, steak, burgers, perogies, and all kinds of other normal canadian foods.

Okay... Did I at least get the country right?
I.e: Is the language in question spoken in Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, Romania, Latvia, Russia, Italy, Denmark or Sweden?
(Ruthenian and Romani are a bit hard to pin down to one or two countries.)

Also, I apologise if these questions are prying, but it's an intriguing mystery.
