She heads in the direction of silk robe-like things!
"We should have something for all of us here - and if we don't I can see about making it!"

"Well let's just say I enjoy form-fitting clothing that shows a little skin. It's a straight guy thing, sorry." Reinholdt says teasingly, not sorry at all.

Salix pokes at the robe-y things with her surprisingly clean fingers. "There's lots of clothes here. Even more than the clothes box at GLoG." That was the biggest amount of clothing she'd seen before now. To think, she barely knew a thing about clothes a matter of months ago, and now she's out shopping for them. Whatever shopping is.

"I guess it's a burden you have to bear." Arel shakes her head. Though, she knows where he's coming from... "I'll be back in one second." She tries to give Rein a kiss on the cheek and get up off the couch to head into their room. Unless he wants to delay her that is.

No, I don't think Rein's going to be doing that anytime soon.

"Such a heavy load..." Is all he'll say as she heads off.

A few minutes later, and Arel returns wearing the familiar, revealing dress. She blushes a little. "I forgot how short this was." Not to mention the extremely low back and how it dips down in the front too, though the way it hangs makes that last one less noticeable.

A young minotaur wanders around town, leading a goat on a rope leash, his face alight with amazement. Eventually the amazement turns to worry and confusion. He picks up his goat,holds it close to his chest, and looks around desperately for someone to talk to.

Aegis Vaults

The vault is a vast expanse of gleaming steel upon all sides, polished up so bright 'n shiny you can see your own reflections in the rows upon rows of deposit boxes lining the walls. Eight security guards armed with what look like stun-batons and light power armor lie unconscious on the floor, snoring their brains out, along with a motley collection of clerks and lawyers in expensive suits.

But the guards Matt, Divebomb and Decibel are likely to be concerned with are the ones still standing; Robotic sentries perched up tripod legs, long segmented arms ending in three-pronged claws extending from barrel-like chassis, lone red eyes staring ominously at the heroes.

"Aww, don't be shy, I ain't gonna bite! Ya'll never getting me outta here if you're afraid to c'mon after me ya'know!" This time it's quite clear who's doing the talking. In the security booth at the far end of the room hovers a specter, form blurred and misty, one ethereal arm sunk up to the elbow into the skull of an grim, gaunt looking man, making him work the controls in the booth like a puppet.

Sewers

Open ground? Now why would Tai risk taking to open ground? Ah, I suppose it matters not to the Abomination. All that matters to that singularly single-minded mind is following the trail she's left, come hell or high water, even with blood still dripping from where it's eye once was.

Mallside Parking Lot

The triplets are here, lounging about and idly considering smashing up one or two of the nicer cars parked on the tarmac. Taking Magtok's suggestion to heart they've cleaned themselves up a bit since we left them, showering off a great deal of the grime and horrid stench they picked up trouncing around a swamp for weeks, although their clothes are caked with mud still.

A young woman walks down the street, her white eyes searching the area. After a while, she sees the young minotaur, and sees that he seems worried. She'll slowly approach him.

The goat lets out a startled "BAAAA!" but the minotaur quiets it Shoosh Ba. he then turns to the girl Is Nodn, yes? Is food where? Is mayor where? Da is say eyes close, for bird noise wait, road follow to Nodn, go mayor. he doesn't seem particularly bright.

Reinholdt's eyes wander a bit, before letting out a low whistle.
"Stunning..."
He says, before reaching out his hand, offering to pull her into his lap.

Krystal takes a moment to process what he said.

So...you're trying to get to Nodn? I haven't heard of that place. This city is called Inside.

Arel smiles and lets herself be pulled onto his lap. "I'm glad you think so." She runs her fingers along the edge of one ear and then caresses his face. "Now we just need to get you into something nice and I can tell you how handsome you are."

Mallside Parking Lot

The triplets are here, lounging about and idly considering smashing up one or two of the nicer cars parked on the tarmac. Magtok arrives, a trio of suits of armor trailing behind him. They seem to be gliding effortless through the air as he descends towards the three, without any visible exhaust or whatever. Probably just the cyborg showing off with telekinesis, since that definitely wasn't mentioned in the list of features.

"Howdy. I've got your magic beans right here, Jack, you bring the cow?"

Vinny's Place

"Life's full of surprises. Just gotta roll with it." Billie says, looking down at him, still feeling petulant. She doesn't like having to chase guys. They're supposed to chase her. "Can you roll with me, Vinny?"

Vinny is silent for just a moment as he twists his head, popping his neck. "Suppose so, Ma'am." He says before smiling a bit to her. "As long as you don't expect me to use my arms for a day."

The little one quickly saves his data. Noone should beat his highscore. And then she is free to take the pad.

The pad contains a libary, a DM Wiki, standart tools like calendar and such and Angry Nexus. If needed Mia will help her learn how to use it. The manula is on Cd but the pad has no cd drive.^^

That seems rather inefficient for the learning process. In any case, Cornelia definitely needs help, but likely gets the hang of things quickly enough. With this, she may even try praying to this machine-god later.

"Is there anythin' else, Mia? I hate to bother ya..."

"Why does anyone care?"

"I watch over the tombs of my kin for the appointed times. I provide direction to heroes that ensure that they will not awaken. I help as I can within the restrictions placed upon me. I..."

The voice catches slightly. And suddenly sounds far less commanding and powerful. But rather very old and very tired.

"I can't save everyone. How I wish I could..."

Teq sighs through his mandibles, a strange whistling noise. When he speaks, it doesn't sound like he's just talking about Zee. "Mm. No, you can't." Teq holsters his weapon, glancing up at the sky again. "How will you contact us, when Twilight reappears?"

It seems that Tai has a pretty good lead on him, and she headed back into the city. Depending on how good his tracking skills are he might loose her in the crowds she moved through, her trail random and twisting meant to throw off pursuers that can track by scent. Plus she has know idea where she can go to get healed. So she is just sort of wandering.

Calvin had made it back to the city. Wandering around the rooftop paths he knows so well and he is worrying. He has a nagging sense that he is being watched and has for some time now. But he hasn't been able to find any sign of a tail. He wonders if someone is using magic on him.

So he walks worried and trying to figure out what to do about it.

Well, now's time for the great big razorblade hidden in the candyfloss. These three, identicle triplets happen to share a face with a few other fellows Magtok might remember. Namely, Riv's little tank bred army.

But on the plus side, they're not giving Magtok the usual death glare. In fact, they barely even seem to recognize him. "Here." The one wearing red steps forward, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a brightly glowing teardrop of blue-tinted light. Not sure what kind of sensors Magtok has built into that cyborg eye of his, but under any form of magic detection it will be positively blinding with power.

Reinholdt shivers, his ear twitching a bit.
"Oh? Do you have a suggestion?"

The minotaur stares at the girl, concentrating, thinking, the gears are turning, sparks are flying, something catches fire(no not literally) then he says simply Is outside, no inside. then he goes back to thinking Nodn once London, long time past. he then pats his chest Is Gird. he pets his goat Is Ba.

"Hm, I was thinking about shirtless, but that's not really dressing you up, is it?" Arel looks contemplative. This is tough. If he doesn't go for the shirtless plan, she's not sure what she'd suggest.

"Well... I suppose other than fancy tuxes and uniforms there isn't much for guys to dress up in. They can go down to... speedoes I guess? I don't know. Usually just go with the fancy suit. But..." Reinholdt says, as he maneuvers to take off his shirt. "I have an awesome looking six-pack now. Gotta show that off." Indeed, his chest is all muscular and shiny now. The fact that Rein doesn't want to give up that particular change is one of the reasons he didn't insist on Arel giving up the vines. Though Rein can think of other changes that'd he'd find better on Arel...

Anyways, now you're sitting in the lap of a muscular shirtless catboy Arel. Whatever will you do?

Arel runs her fingers over Rein's chest. She wasn't so sure at first, but the muscles do have a certain appeal. "Yes, I think that's just about perfect." She looks back up into his eyes and smiles. Then she leans forward to kiss him. Slowly at first, but the intensity mounts over time. Her hands trace his muscles and undoubtedly make it up to his ears if given the chance.

Reinholdt will not stop her. He loves ear pets, as Arel can no doubt tell if his half moans/half purrs are any indication.

Reinholdt kisses her back, letting her set the pace, but matching it as his hands wrap around her waist to pull her close to share in her warmth.

Seeing Matt a little busy, Gelley foregoes her questions and turns to face the darkened vault. She, being a bit more brazen (or stupid), takes a few steps toward the cavernous door and reaches out to touch Decibel. "That isn't a good idea, pal!" She hisses.

Doctor Decibel does not heed Gelley's warning. After all, he already jumped inside the vault and performed a dramatic pose!
Furthermore, I don't think he'd ever listen to someone who talked like this unless it was his archnemesis, the Whisperer, or something.

"Foolish villain! I'll provide more than enough bite to go with my BARK!" He says slapping his hands together to create a cone-shaped sonic boom, trying to knock one or two of the robots off their feet. Any comical domino effects resulting from this counts as 'planned' in the Doctor Decibel book as well.

Oh, would you look at that. Gelley was expecting guns, explosives, something instantly lethal. It's really just some scary looking automatons. The heroine shrugs and jumps into the air, somersaulting over Decibel before activating her rocket-thrusters. She's propelled toward the lead robot - whichever robot is still standing - on a wave of blue fire. Rocket slam attack!

That seems rather inefficient for the learning process. In any case, Cornelia definitely needs help, but likely gets the hang of things quickly enough. With this, she may even try praying to this machine-god later.

"I... eerr..." she fidgets a bit as she considers how to reply. "The Nexus has a nasty habit of doing weird things to people. Normal people especially. And I was pretty normal before it decided that I needed more weird."

Seems she doesn't feel inclined to explain beyond that.

[Streets]

Victoria leads the way back towards that strange blue box the man came in. "That is does." She agrees. "My Dad was pretty normal, then he became a psion and all the power went to his head, literally. He's better now, though. My uncle was normal, too, when he got here, then he got my mother shoved into his head, caught some lycanthropy, died a few times. He got better too. My other uncle is completely insane, but I think he was that way before he got here." The half-fiend rambles a bit. "The Nexus... it shapes the people that come here. Changes them for good or ill. Whatever it does, though, you can bet it will be interesting. Nothing is boring here, at least, not for long. It's as if the very Nexus itself wants life to be interesting. It's almost like it collects interesting things, and people, and places." She gestures at the street they were walking down, its construction an amalgam of eras and architectural styles.

"I'd hate to spend Thanksgiving at your grandma's." The Doctor says in response to Victoria's story about her family. "Still, that IS quite interesting. This Nexus place. The Nexus, that's a clever name. The centre point. The gathering. The meeting place. The place where everything comes together. Brilliant! You'd think I'd have heard of a place like this before. I wonder how it exists? Some sort of applied anti-harmonium vortex perhaps, or..."

The Doctor carries on rambling in techno-babble as he walks along, and doesn't seem to be about to stop any time soon. Luckily for Amil and Victoria, he's distracted as they return to the place they left the little blue box.

The area's a little worse for wear from when they left it. The top floors of a few buildings are missing chunks where the Captain's pirate ship went through them. But thanks to the Nexus' resilient nature they're already repairing themselves or getting repaired.

There is one thing missing, though. And that missing thing nearly causes the Doctor to drop Copi. Instead, he shoves her rather roughly at Amil and runs off.
"No! Oh no oh no where'd she go!?"
The Doctor races over to where he'd left his box, reaching out but meeting only dead air. "No no nooo. This can't be happening!" he mutters to himself, eyes wide and running his hand through his brown hair. "There shouldn't be anyone here who can fly her! Unless..." His eyes grow even wider and he stands up straight. "Oh no."

Magtok tries his best not to make a big deal about the triplets being who they are. Either they're willing to work with him, and some sort of schism happened between Riv and his forces, or they're not, and this is a trap. He already set up some plans and escape routes in case of the latter, and the former is really not his business to go asking about, is it?

"I don't think I need to remind you that any attempt at crossing me as you did Marcy is going to go poorly. Nobody cares if you betray the halfling, but the moment you stab me in the back, you become untrustworthy. A potential liability, completely unemployable across the Nexus."

Magtok reaches for the teardrop, looking for bombs, tiny remote sensors, and other sorts of signals that there might be trouble, rather than for magic. The fact that magic is present here should be painfully obvious to all involved. Those suits of power armor gracefully land beside the three, lying down at their feet.

"The suits don't have any of that 'I decide I don't like you anymore, so I'll explode you from within the suit with nanotech' nonsense, by the way. For one, you finding that kind of stuff early would lead to some very awkward phone conversations. For two, that sort of thing never works out somehow. For three, it means that if you ever do get a god soul, we'll still be able to do business and stuff. S'there anything else before I go?"
