Meanwhile, backtime from all that, Maeve shakes her head at Zefir's offer.

"I appreciate the gesture, but... I don't really have the money to hire a fireworks specialist. Besides which, I don't think the neighbors or Remnant would be too happy about using one's services in the city anyway."

Plus, the only person she'd take with her to see fireworks is a catgirl, which would probably end quite badly, given who's offering her the card, and she's not going to go on her own and leave Khair to sit around in the house while she's out watching them.

Zefir blinks a few times still offering the card.

"With offering his service I meant I pay for him so don't worry about the price. And i think if you don't plan to have the firework right now he will be able to inform the local authorities about the firework."

She may not trust him, but Zefir has no plan is doing anything harmful. After all he wants to stay at this place. Who cares about some money for a firework if he has to leave the Sitar's strings?

"20 Years? Wow that nearly your whole life right?" Assuming she looks like in her twenties if I remember right. otherwise she would say something more fitting.

"It's a shame we didn't met earlier."

MDM serves the tea, but as Mia spoke up he looks down on her reproachful. She isn't even 20 years old so meeting much earlier wasn't even possible.

Well if he really thought of impaling Zefir he would impale thin air since Zefir the char isn't here and Zefir the player has the 4th wall as protection. It's funnyhow my chars jump in here and away.^^

Back to the theater. the blow hits. Well no wonder since he wasn't really able to move it's just good that it wasn't the sword that could have done quiet more damage. The blow hits him right into his face, but instead of falling/flying away Fade just slides a few feet to the opposite direction of the hit (So if the firearms was his left arm he slides to the right by the foce of the hit.) Fade's face smokes and that doesn't come from the hot punch. It comes from his own blood which just vaporize in contact with light souce of these levels.

The mech may notice that just befor his hit Fade's shadow has grown again filling nearly the whole wall bhind him. This way he saved himself from flying away. And now shaking off the stun grenade Fade rushes forward to grab the mech. If he manages to do so the mech might soon notice that it's not a wise choice. fade prooves to be very strong, even strong enougth to let the metal under hsi hands crack. Fade attemps to hoick of the arms from the mech making him ... unable to fight back. Well he attemps to should the robot proove more durable he will just throw him away exactly where Jane is.

You wonder why? she stunned him with her grenade, he doesn't know her ergo enemy.

There are other problems that I don't really want to go into; I was trying to put you off without having to get into them. Nothing against you or your friend, just... Personal stuff that would make it unlikely I'd be able to watch them without causing other issues."

She had sent Rainbow Dash to begin the warning, while she confirmed Twilight's condition with Ibby and Rarity, with the full intent of appearing herself to fix the undoubtedly numerous holes that would exist in Dash's explanation.
If it could count as one.


Rainbow Dash does a quick sort of bow.
"Um, is Twilight okay? I should really go che-"
"Return to the...'metal monkey's cave. The others are there and I shall be along shortly. There is a plan in place."
"Twili-"
"Now."

Rainbow Dash will be rather promptly exiting the scene, without further interrupting.

"I'm Staff Sergeant Halifax of Remnant. What is your plan?" Missy asks. Which is not the same thing as actually offering to help carry it out, but overall she's mildly inclined more towards trust than suspicion at this point.

Temple of Cunningham

A plot clone of Missy Halifax, in civilian clothes, slows as she walks past the temple, and then stops completely. She was raised as an Orthodox Arnaudin, and in religion, the heretic is often judged far more harshly than the heathen. But she's walked past this temple several times a week now, taking Jefferies to school, and she's starting to wonder if perhaps she should go in.

Finally she takes a few steps into the garden and sits on a bench by the meditation pool, biting her lip and feeling like an intruder.

[Temple of Cunningham]

As it happens, Sophie is there for her weekly visit. She comes to the Temple to meditate, pray and think about various problems in a quiet environment.

When she spots an unfamiliar person who just entered the premises, she approaches her. She's wearing a simple white shirt and sand-colored loose trousers.
"Welcome to the Temple of Cunningham. What brings you here?"

Maeve smiles, helping her friend up if she seems like she needs the assistance.

"And, once again, you're welcome."

She gets up alright, and will head off to the restroom with her---she finished most of her water, after all.

"Um... I'm not really sure. I guess I came to... pray?" Missy says, her voice full of uncertainty.

Sophie quirks an eyebrow. She "guesses" she came there to pray? Strange. It seems that something is troubling this woman.
"Everyone is free to pray here, of course. Are you familiar with the beliefs of the Sacred Order of Cunningham?"

"I was raised Orthodox Arnaudin. I'm... really not sure how different things are here. The Orthodox church forbids violence, even in self-defence." Missy says. "I'm a Remnant now, so I'm not exactly welcome back there."

[Morty]

[Temple]

"An Orthodox Arnaudin? Well. I've never actually met one," Sophie says. "We discourage violence here, but allow for self-defense." She really, really wishes she didn't have to use violence, but she does. "I'm sorry to hear that your path in life conflicted with your upbringing, though." Hopefully it's a neutral enough remark. She has no idea about the details of the situation.

"I wanted to do more. Protect the people of the city, you know? It's just hard for me to believe that's wrong," Missy says. "I'm Missy. Missy Halifax."

"I'm Sophie Mouchabiere. Nice to meet you. I wasn't raised to believe in the Order's faith. I joined it a bit less than a year ago after having been stranded in the Nexus. And I certainly understand your reasons, but it can't have been an easy decision." She pauses. "No matter how hard you try to stay a pacifist, violence finds its way to you."

Upon recovering his teammates and the pod they were sent to recover, Needs Food Badly doesn't revert back to his normal state. Nope, not this time, folks. In fact, if anything, an aura of awfulness and terrible just grows even stronger about his person. He seems to ooze with every step, and be in several places at once, without occupying any more space than he usually does.

HazMag doesn't seem too rattled by it all, though. He orders Roosevelt to contact the MagCave and request a bulk delivery telewarp back, before striding right up to Needs, rifle in hand.

"Sorry Needs, this is for your own good!"

With that last syllable, he grunts and thrusts forward with the butt of his weapon, somehow hitting NFB right in the forehead, despite the fact that Needs was totally three feet to the left of where HazMag swung the thing. Our abomination of a wizard sways, his unearthliness abruptly fading away along with his consciousness, until Needs is just a silly little man in a splotched robe again, lying helplessly on the ground and drooling like an idiot.

"Gods, I hate when he does that ****."

Unless there's any further interruptions, the crew will be returning with Kale to the MagCave in a matter of minutes.

"Unless others are blocking the way. I guess I fight to keep Morningside as innocent and safe as it was when I grew up." Missy says. "Prophet knows they'd be over-run if we stopped manning the walls."

"That they would," Sophie says. "It's a noble thing to fight so others don't have to." It's what she does, but she doesn't like to advertise the fact that she's a Hunter. Now that Imbued are in the Nexus, it would compromise their security. "'We live in a world that has walls, and those walls need to be guarded by men with guns'. "

"Is... is that taught here? At this church?" Missy asks.

"It is," Sophie says. "It's a controversial passage, but most of us do agree that even if we abhor violence, there are those who do not. I think... for every dozen people who live and thrive in comfort and peace, there's one who has to forsake it for their sake," she adds. It's clear she knows what it's like.

"Are you one of those too?" Missy asks, meeting Sophie's eyes.

Sophie nods, slowly.
"It shows, doesn't it? Yes, I am. Joining the Order helped me remember that I don't do it in vain. And... I hate fighting, I really do. When I can, I help people without fighting. But sometimes I face something or someone who only understands a bullet."

"I've been in this job for ten years. I had the chance recently to quit but... I couldn't. I feel like this is what I should be doing. I'm just not sure about how my faith stands -" Internally, Missy gets a reminder beep of the time. "Oh, I need to go and pick up my... my friend's daughter from school."

[Morty]

[Temple]

That was a curious pause before "friend". But that's not the kind of thing Sophie is nosy about.
"Of course. If you want to talk about it some more, I'm here at this time of the week. At other times, I'm in GLoG."

Tai, the cloaked snake woman, leans up against a wall for extra support. She may have managed to escape the abomination, but she still has poison running through her body. She had hoped that her natural ability to resist poison would be enough but it is now clear to her it won't be. She hadn't really made to many friends since coming to the Nexus, she had been doing her best to stay under the radar.

So poisoned and a bit lost Tai pushes off the wall and without a clue on where she is going starts to wander the streets.

The TARDIS

Probably because you stabbed it while it was collecting energy, Mr. Captain. Not the best idea.

The console is in quite bad shape. Does the Doctor even have any idea what he's doing? Many interfaces are badly damaged, barely working or replaced with entirely different devices. Wires and cords hang about hap-hazardly, with no concern towards tripping hazards. What would appear to be a large wooden mallet has been left laying on top of the console. He hasn't been trying to get the TARDIS to work by hitting it with a hammer, has he?

The TARDIS

It started collecting energy after he had started attacking and blew up in the same action. There wasn't particularly much he was able to do about it.

"Sloppy." Is the Captain's only comment about the Tardis' controls. All the same, the Captain goes to work on getting this thing running. Surely with his intellect he'll be able to figure out these various contraptions that the Doctor Frankensteined onto his TARDIS.
Hopefully...
Shame he has to hurry.

"Oh, GLoG? I've been thinking of taking Jefferies there to meet some other children. I've heard there are quite a few out there." Missy says.

"Oh, yes," Sophie says with a smile. "We do have plenty of children, both older and younger. I assume Jefferies is your friend's daughter. You're welcome to bring her there."

"Good, then perhaps I'll see you again soon," Missy says. "Thanks for listening."

And she'll head off to Jefferies' school to pick her up.

And Sophie returns inside the temple. That was certainly an interesting chance meeting.
