PTA: Heralds of a New Dawn (IC)

Aidan
The Yamask doesn't seem to respond to the Sand, but it retailiates with another blast of shadowy energy for 36 damage. (Anything above Speed 3 goes first).

Courier Boy
You navigate your way out of the market, avoiding the recruiters this time. It takes you about 20 minutes to reach the address following the map. The sign outside says Captain J. V. Stern Shipyard and technicians are moving in and out of the double doors at a steady pace.

Donny enters the building, a little apprehensive about his luck. He had been meaning to get word to Captain Stern for a couple of days and this might just be his chance.

Frowning slightly, Aidan recalls the Gligar. "Not exactly a good match there... so, we'll see how you handle Eleara." Releasing the Eevee, he orders, "Alright, Elly, Bite!" The Eevee darts forward, biting fiercely at the Yamask.

Aidan
The Eevee chomps down onto the Yamask, but its teeth stop short as a thin protective barrier envelops ghost. Woa! A Normal type! I can't touch that, Shelly lets go! The Yamask is returned, replaced with giant sea monster with a shell. (Go twice, due to faster and Summoning Sickness).

Courier Boy
You file in with the techs entering into the door. Inside the first thing you see is a mostly completed cruise liner, huge in proportions. Engineers and technicians run about looking at schematics and spouting technical jargon. Men in overalls lift heavy equipment and pieces of ship. Its a hive of activity. Someone taps you on the shoulder and a sweet voice Are you lost sir?

Donny turns and says, "I have a delivery. For Starboard." He makes no move to hand over the envelope, hoping that being the personal courier will give him some clue as to the old lady's plan.

[BluesEclipse]

Aidan nods as the Yamask is recalled. "I hope you don't think you'll fare better with that one." Scanning the shelled Pokémon, he orders, "Elly, Tackle it!" As the Eevee launches herself at the aquatic Pokémon that's still adjusting to having been summoned, he orders, "Follow it up with a Bite!"

Aidan
The barrage of attacks slam into the Lapras, but it weathers it well. It responds by singing in a melody so peaceful, Eleara falls asleep.

Donny
A women with sandy brown hair in a lab coat and thick rimmed glasses was starring up at you. She quickly checks a clipboard, and frowns. We don't have anyone working here by the name of Starboard. Did you mean Captain Stern? Because if you do, he's rather busy at the moment but I'd be happy to take the letter for you. She offers her hand for the letter.

Donny nods politely but doesn't hand over the envelope. "I'm sorry, but it's something that I have to make sure is done. Personally. If you don't know anyone by that name, maybe Stern does."

[BluesEclipse]

Aidan calls out as the song lulls Elly to sleep, "Come on, Bite it!" The Eevee doesn't respond, deep in the throes of slumber.

The kid chuckles, as the Lapras exhales a gust of icy wind, dealing 26 and lowering speed 1 Stage.

Courier
The woman looks at you for a moment, then starts muttering to herself. Then you realize she's talking to someone through a bluetooth headset. She sighs and points. Stern is up the stairs, on the ship in the bridge. If they ask who you are she yanks the letter from you and hits it with a stamp, before shoving it back in your hands Show them that. Mukking kids. Construction site is not a place for kids.

Aidan frowns slightly, and says, "Now's not the time to doze off, Elly... wake up and fight!" The Eevee continues to slumber, even through the chilling wind of the Lapras's attack.

Donny smiles and says, "Thank you," as he heads up the stairs. The things I've been through, and she sees a kid?

Aidan

The Lapras blows more wind, but it rushes over Eleara harmlessly.

Donny
You get strange looks from just about everyone who notices you as you climb the stairs. From the upper level, your level with the deck of the boat-in-construction. Several large gangplanks hang along the length of the boat, but the middle section of the deck isn't complete. Only one gangplank connects enough deck to reach the Bridge, on the far end of the dry dock.

As the wind breezes past Elly, Aidan calls out, "Come on... wake up!" The Eevee stirs at this comment, ears perking up, and Aidan smiles. "That's it! Now, Bite!" The Eevee springs forward, biting at the Lapras once more.

Donny steps off the stairs and onto the deck that's closest to him. He takes a few steps but the incompleteness of the ship harries his thoughts and he stops moving. A new idea comes to mind and he scans the area looking for a place to sit down and still be out of the workmen's way.

The Eevee chomps in, but the Lapras is still going. A blast of water emanates from its mouth, but it also washes over Eleara harmlessly.

Donny
You get stopped trying to cross the gangplank, but are allowed in showing the letter with the stamp. Your on the aft part of the ship, which is mostly finished. Theres what appears to be a mountain climbing wall with a terrace on top for those who climb to the top, it looks like a good spot to stay out of peoples way.

Smiling as Eleara dodges the attack, Aidan calls out, "Keep it up, Elly! Bite!" The Eevee continues with its movement, darting around to the Lapras's side and biting at its flank.

Who, in their right mind, would go rock climbing on a ship? Donny thinks as he puts the envelope in his pocket. He takes a few deep breaths and begins climbing. He silently curses any fool who ever enjoyed climbing as he goes.

Seeing the Lapras flinch from the bite, Aidan calls out, "Keep it up, Eleara!" The Eevee darts around to the sea-beast Pokémon's other side, biting at it again and trying to keep it off-balance.

The attack lands, and the Lapras is looking worse for wear. It lets out a ray of bewildering energy, confusing Eleara.

Wall Climber
You climb up the wall easily enough. The easy to find and grab handholds compared to Mt. Chimney made it a breeze. You reach the terrace quickly. Looking about, you can see into the bowels of the ship in the middle. Several decks are exposed from the holes on the top deck, at least 4 floors down in some points.

Seeing the Lapras's condition, Aidan doesn't hesitate. "Quick Attack!" he barks out, and Elly dashes forward, striking at the aquatic Pokémon just before the confusing beam would hit it.

Donny sits down and takes a glance over the edge. The sudden lurching feeling in his stomach brought him away from the railing and to the center of the terrace. He releases Echo and instantly connects with her. He pulls the envelope from his pocket and props it up against his boot. He closed his eyes and after a few calming breaths, he was possessing the Zubat. He takes the letter in his mouth and sets to the air. He circles around the rock wall a few times, making sure his body wasn't likely to fall, and then dives for the bridge, seeking Captain Stern.

Aidan
The Eevee bashes into the Lapras KOing it before its attack lands. Its replaced with a pig, who fires an icicle dealing 14 damage.

Zubatman

Your body seem secure. Unless the boat starts sinking in the dry dock, you won't go anywhere. As you flap your way to the bridge on the bow of the ship, a lot of workers look up at you confused. Usually the noise of construction (plus daylight hours) meant Zubats were unthinkable inside the dry dock.

On the opposite side of the ship, you find the only room that is complete, which is rather large. The door wasn't open though. A quick look at the windows shows they are all closed. Peering inside, there are 3 people inside. An older looking man with a wide gait, captains outfit and a grizzly beard, a young thin man in a business suit and the woman from before. They seem to be talking but even with Echo's enhanced hearing, you can't understand them.

Scanning the newcomer, Aidan thinks for a moment before nodding to himself. "Bite it, Elly." The Eevee darts at the pig Pokémon, biting at it.

As the Pokémon flinches from the bite, Aidan calls out, "Don't let up, Elly!" prompting the Eevee to bite once more at the ice-wielder.

The Swinub looks battered, firing off another Icicle for 14 damage.

The man in the suit turns towards you for a moment, but makes no other action towards you. He turns back towards the captain-person.

Aidan watches the icicle hit Elly, and thinks for a moment before nodding. "Alright, Elly... that's enough for now. Let Hisei take over." Recalling the Eevee, he pulls out another Pokeball, and releases the Vulpix onto the battlefield.

This isn't working... Donny thinks as he falls back into flight. An idea comes to him, borne slightly of anger and frustration. He's about to attack the door when he thinks better of it. No, I can do better than that. He starts flying back to his body. but along the way he tries to inspect the long gangplank to the bridge.

Once he reaches the terrace, he returns to his own body, and returns Echo. He borrows Bite as he does so, just in case. He stands up, stretches, and then attempts to climb down.
