Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
So I got a plaster casting of my face done for my makeup class. The whole process was oddly relaxing, and I ended up with this:
Spoiler
Darn thing creeps me out.Quotes!
The Neutralizer - my 3.5 class that attempts to make wizards less OP.Spoiler
Fantastic dragonpuppy drawn by my sister in the ancient times.

This is as it should be. Plaster casts of faces are creepzors.
Overdriveprime was a cutie that reminds me of that one guy from Boy Meets World back in '96.
Serpentine: I concur with whoever it was that got you on to wearing said hat.
Thufir: I don't want to alarm you, but you seem to be nearing the edge of the charts for dapperdom. I can't guarantee you won't break our dapper scale if you go much further...

Awwwww yeeeeeeaaaaah, that's the stuff
it may, conceivably, have belonged to someone I recently mentioned in the R'ships thread <.<
Also, Thufir exploded the dappermeter loooong ago. He is a dastardly cad of the highest order, and... Thufir, are there any photos of you in a top hat? If not, why not?The Iron Avatarist Hall of Fame!

I used to be a contender for the dapper crown. Then I started wearing skirts instead of waistcoats, and now I no longer qualify.

I don't really do "dapper". Putting on shoes and a shirt is hard enough, making them look good is way too much effort.

Meh, getting dressed at all takes too much effort. Screw it, i'm becoming a nudist, or a slob. I'll decide later.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
Well in my case it's because I'm embarrassed because I'm torn between wanting to squee, which is kind of undignified, and being reminded of my brother, which just sort of makes it weird, man.
Other than that, you really do seem to be able to pull off red and white pretty well.
Thank you.
Sweet.
Well, yes, he exploded the Dappermeter, but now we've got a Dapperometer. It's different and new. Got an extra "O" in it. And this one goes to 11.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
You can definitely do dapper while being feminine.
For a while (less time to sort out pretty things nowadays) I would be wandering around uni wearing a full length skirt, pretty blouse, waistcoat, and hat (fedora before it broke and I left it at a UKitp meetup, dressage hat nowadays). Need to at some point get myself a full length coat so I can at least get that sort of look when I go "screw it, jeans and t-shrit I can't be arsed"."I'm just going on motive and opportunity here and the fact that if the earth got swallowed by a black hole, I'd look suspiciously in your direction first."

So they apparently decided that I'm some kind of opossum-creature at work... And I'm reminded how I should probably get a pair of cargo pants.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
I don't even, really. Aside from a long convoluted chain of reasoning that starts with a guy that used to work there who they decided had an imaginary pet opossum, then one day it came up that my bro had caught a opossum and kept it as a pet once when we were chillens, then this somehow became a nickname of mine for a while, and then the newish artsy girl who started working with us decided to draw inspiration from when I wore a hawaiian shirt to work because it was finally warm enough to wear one. Mostly I just need to convert some of my ripped jeans into shorts or customize them back into service... That or try turning a couple into utili-kilt-like contraptions... I feel your pain though. x.x

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
No photos of me yet, I'm so terribly sorry. But some of you might remember that a while ago I posted a picture of my friend, the Tesla of Baking:
Spoiler
He's actually a member here now (think he may have commented on it last time, in fact), and ridiculously photogenic, but also shy. So here's Prince of Amber in all his dapper glory (well, not all of it - he wouldn't let me post some of them):
SpoilerSo sometimes he's evil,
and sometimes he saves the space-time continuum,
and sometimes he's just plain ol' too cool forschoolthe playset.
SpoilerAlso I lied, there's totally photos of me too.
He wouldn't let me post this one unless I clarified: He just fell asleep on me. I was actually lying on another person, who got up to take the picture because he was just that adorable.
Incidentally, this is from when I TOTALLY MET DEATH, YOUR FRIEND THE REAPER IN REAL LIFE! I have one photo of him from that, but I have to scan it first.
You should totes all give your honest opinion of his appearance for reasons I cannot disclose lest I disrupt the objectivity. The Iron Avatarist Hall of Fame!
