It started as normal support Sona, but when I accidentally stole 4 kills in the first 5 minutes (double on our level 2 riven's gank + 2 jungler of their walking into a green power chord), I decided "eh, why not."

AD Sona is so much fun. It took them twenty minutes to realize I was outdamaging out cait. They didn't kill me until I had 7 kills and 22 assists.
    See? it's not just me.

I've built Rylai's on Anivia before, vs. hard-to-stop runny champions like Mundo, Udyr and Singed. It gives you much harder zone control with Glacial Storm and makes landing Flash Frost much easier (and Frostbite full procs it).

True enough. Hard to land all Tremors hits without it! Does it proc off Ball Curl damage, though? Never did check.

Oh, and Zhonya's. Another great one on tanky AP Rammus (which inevitably ends up as hybrid Rammus).

Yeah, it procs on all damage. Not sure about Puncturing Taunt and Defensive Ball Curl tho. But yeah, the whole point of AP Rammus is to Rylai's Tremors around being a giant slowball while Slowballing people in the face and then taunting and being immortal.

Played him once, but I never really went in-depth about this.

I still jungle him tho you can certainly play top Rammus. Mid Rammus is tricky but mid Jarvan and Lee work, so...

EDIT: I'm not saying playing him on lane is a good idea.

You know what my favorite thing is? Playing Sivir and having one or more of Karthus, Caitlyn, and Nidalee on the enemy team.

Speartoss at max range? Shield it!
    Bushwhack? Shield it!
Peacemaker? Shield it! (that one's a bit trickier)
Ace in the Hole? Shield it!
Requiem? That's the best of all, it gives you a timer!

Jungling is probably best, yeah. I was just wondering about lane options. Or would bot be better?

I do mean for AP Rammus, in case that's not clear. I've got regular, sane Rammus down.

I hate Sivir. One of the few champions that make me cringe whenever I see them (the other two being Diana and Jungle Shyvana, a GOOD Jungle Shyvana). Oh, Ezreal too (though luckily he's getting nerfed a little, but he's still gong to be the world's most annoying AD Carry, or one of them I should say).

I normally build like normal support, then go AD:

Faerie Charm/wards/potions -> Philo -> Boots -> Heart of Gold -> BT -> Greaves -> other AD items

I need to try Trinity as well.

I may try that. I like the straight support early game because if I don't get enough gold early on, it's generally just more efficient to continue building normally.

I'm not sure how it interacts with Fizz's shark, but that might be fun too if you can still block the damage after being fished.

It blocks the shark application (Just drops to your feet), or can stop the damage on you. I've only spell-shielded fizz shark 1v1 though, other times my spell shield got eaten up by other things in the teamfight.

    Nice Silver.

By the way, Zombie Brand is the best thing, and I have not felt the urge to by a skin as badly since the hint of Battlecast Skarner and Surprise Party Fiddlesticks (the thing is, I don't play Brand that much, so I fear it would be the same situation with Fiddlesticks that I'm having right now, that I don't play the champion a lot because every time I do, things tend to go south).

Time for an exciting game of Guess That Counter!

I've been doing a series of 1v1 Proving Ground matches with MrCarter11. Sometimes we can predict the results ahead of time, sometimes it's more evident in hindsight, but sometimes I have no idea if it's champion or player skill or luck or a combination. So here's three matchups for your guessing pleasure - let's see how close you are to what actually happened!

    1) Master Yi vs Urgot

    2) Karthus vs Ziggs

    3) Cho'Gath vs Rumble

In each case, guess who won and whether it was a dominating win or a close match.

    Happy guessing!

    1) Master Yi vs Urgot
Master Yi, dominating. Urgot is a strange creature that works on a strange chain combo; the strange combo is obvious when it begins. Yi can just meditate at this point and negate much of Urgot's damage output.

    2) Karthus vs Ziggs
Ziggs dominating but not as much as above. Ziggs can keep a consistent range advantage over and poke easier against the slow Karthus, whilst having method of keeping Karthus at bay. Karthus is also slightly easier to gank.

    3) Cho'Gath vs Rumble
Close... I would guess Cho'gath due to sustain, but a smart Rumble can give Cho a bit of pain with shield over knockups and starting flamethrower before the silence hits. Still going with Cho though.

Frankly, we've done this 38 times already, no one cares unless Dogmantra suggests the name. That should be pretty obvious given how far this thread's come without a suggestion. Edit: zero ****ing numerous

On that note, new thread. The name is super generic and I'll change it if a couple of people ask.

    1) What if I told you that Urgot absolutely dominated Yi throughout the game?

    2) Yep. It was the mana gains from healthpacks that saved Ziggs here, with those he could poke with impunity and secure an advantage in any eventual exchange. I was expecting Karthus's wall to be better at letting him secure kills by blocking Ziggs's escapes, but if he's been poked down too far then it's more of a "YOU'RE LOCKED IN HERE WITH ME" situation.

    3) Rumble won this one, but not by too much. Rupture was a bigger force than Electro-Harpoon, but Junkyard Titan + Danger Zone'd Flamespitter does ridiculous damage, and Equalizer helped force some engagements. This let Rumble bully Cho around and zone him pretty effectively, and win a few all-in engagements.
