And Raveler is in under the wire! I still need a quote, but other than that it should be complete, so take a look, and see whatcha think.
(The inspiration for this class is from sirpercival.)

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
Thanks! Yours isn't too bad either.
Also, I looked through the whole contest thread again, for the first time in a while, and wow, are there a lot of unfinished entries.
Temo, I just realized that a few of the raveling damage types were wrong, so I quick fixed those (and that was the only change), but technically I didn't hit post until 12:01. Do you want me to change them back?

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
I am thinking about making a list of all the classes in this contest that get limitless out of combat healing and at what level they get it. This is possibly because the last three I looked at got at minimum at-will healing for themselves (ranging from at 1st level to full-fledged at-will healing at Lv 16).

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
Hmm... don't THINK I gave mine one, unless there's some sort of shenanigan with level yo-yoing for manifestations? Though with the sort of power that would involve I don't think "Extra points of healing" is what you'd be using it for.

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
That'd be the Level Yo-Yo Shenanigan there Beelzebub. You have level X, which determines your Lay on Hands pool. Use your points, or some of your points. You lose some levels somehow (Succubus Girlfriend? Wight Pet? Something). You then gain the levels back somehow (Restorations, Thought Bottle, etc) which nets you more Lay on Hands points.
... but if you're using something that strange, really unlimited healing is probably the least offensive thing you could do with it.Currently sick as a dog and unable to focus properly. Will heal soon.

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
I was going to limit the Gammon to maxing out healz at half their HP, but they already have to deal with the unhealable Colour Hit Points and a d6 hit die. Might be a mistake on my part, but you can't get better without messing up over and over. *shrug*

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
Ya the twilight magus gets at will healing in limited amounts until 16th in which they gain it at will. It IS a healing class it should have at will healing

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
My planar mage can get at will self-healing at level 6. They cannot give similar benefits to their allies until level 13. Self-healing is not a big deal; the class is definitely made to be a marathoner, and its not any better than 1 point of fast healing. A 14th-level binder can also do a better job at healing his teamates.
Edit:
Thanks! I find your character very well-thought. Some formulas are misnamed in the Combat section, but the rest is all good.

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
Fair point... Also while I appreciate you voting for my class could you change the name so its correct . It is the twilight magus not the Twilight Shepherd. (Though that does sound somewhat cool. Maybe for an apocalypse leader class that leads people "Into the twilight" or something).
Also good point with the incorporeal creature at low levels O.o. I honestly am not sure why I didn't think of that. I will probably note when I can edit the class that they can be harmed by non magical weapons (Still with 50% miss chance though)Awesome Avatar by Derjuin

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
I'll leave an idea i had about the next theme here.
How about classes that run on "borrowed power", from a specific external source? Such as an item (like a legendary sword or such), or a guarding spirit (of an ancestor, friend or loved one), or what have you.
Most of a class' powers will stem directly from that source, and it'll be interesting to see how people handle the potential loss of the source in their classes.
Plus, at least item-based classes allude to the little-used incarnum ;)

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
My current class idea I'm sitting on is someone who gets spellcasting via vestiges; a binder that trades martial power for spells based on the fluff and abilities of the bound vestiges.

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
My class idea is based around understanding magic itself rather than simply learning spells.
Sounds like we all have ideas for Alternative Magic Systems. So why not do that?

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
Whoops I might of missed the deadline for voting, the thread didn't seemed to be closed so I voted anyway. Hopefully it still made it.
For this contest the Twilight Magus didn't get much criticism or comments does anyone have any particular reason they didn't like it? (Other than the ability to get incorporeal undead at 3rd level which I will fix as soon as the contest is over)Awesome Avatar by Derjuin

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
Didn't vote. Had a hard time really choosing 3 or even an order for the top three. Lots of stuff had it's own little quirks that made it interesting. Twilight Magus was just kinda hard for me to wrap my head around. I had the feeling it'd play out somewhat like a weird cross between a Warlock and a cleric? Limited actions per day until high level then spam ability. But I couldn't really wrap my head around it. Too foreign to my experiences. I'd need to test it out on the table to see how it'd really play. Not saying it's bad. Just something I need a live fire exercise of to really appreciate. I don't think it'd be THAT powerful... though I'd laugh at the Magus being able to mock some enemy Wizard at low levels, completely negating their one nova. And I do play low levels a lot.
Almost felt like there should be some effect for having various energy point totals as you swing towards max.Currently sick as a dog and unable to focus properly. Will heal soon.

Re: Base Class Challenge Chat Thread III: Gotta 'Brew 'Em All!
Congrats you three. you really deserve it. And thanks to Jupiter for the criticism. Most of the things I did wrong were things that I was struggling with coming up with abilities for at that level.
