As I have mentioned before, I am participating in a fanfic contest. And I take my contests seriously. Heh, I'm rather competitive. And I'm getting to the point in my writing where I'm going to need helpers to get outside opinions on how I'm doing. Unfortunately, the rules prevent me from publicly publishing the story before judging.

So!

I need volunteers to help me review my story during and after I write it. The submission deadline for me is the Season 3 premier. So the sooner the better! Contact me if you are willing to help out. Shoot me a line through a messenger if you have one, or just PM me otherwise.

well..i mentioned my costume earlier..but i did have a few ideas before settling on that one


i was gonna dress as someone who gives a damn..but i just couldnt be bothered....

i was thinking of Hunky Human Torch..but after a good look in the mirror i had to admit to myself that i just didnt have the smoking hot body needed to pull it off....

the other possibility was as the Invisible Man.. but at the costume shop even though the employee swore they had four in stock, when we went back to the shelf where they were supposed to be and i couldnt see a single one....

Um, even that 'best' one wasn't really as good as I saw local toy tailors produce here. In fact, these new 5$ Hasbro plushes look better than 75% of fan made ones even in 25x more expensive range...

I'm not sure how I could ever see something like this does better, it may be fan made but it sure looks like anything I could hope for out of a professional job.

Now whether any stuffed plushie is worth say even a hundred dollars/euros/etc is kinda an eye of beholder thing. I'd ostensibly say no, but there are a bare few around I think can be classified as "works of art" and therefor worth whatever is people are willing to pay for them. (I may think it silly but I cannot say anything like objectively its any sillier then shelling out six and seven digit amounts for so-called more serious

Um, a lot of stock vectors used all over pony merchandise are based on Faust's pre-show drawings. You see it in both proportions and details. I'll cover DVD case later.

Yes based on being key here. I was speculating that for whatever reason they may not have any original material to simply print as a sketch cover. As I see Lauren still at least ostensibly claiming for example this sketch among several others on her account as her own.

Artist have some rights to their work these days, so while Lauren may have done all the sketches for the standard vectors, she may retain the original sketches as her own personal artwork/property and took them with her when she left. So even if Hasbro has say a scan in the computer somewhere they may need her permission to print that because even though its their character its her own work.

Mind you I don't know any of this for a fact I'm just speculating here. I know cases like this can be true, but are not always true.

No its not, though I believe there are a couple more in season 2. I'm actually in agreement with you it seems. Hence why I said not enough to be a game like spotting Derpy.

Incidently, someone was playing the soundtrack to N.B.C. and I still remembered 90% of the lyrics to everything. I totally achieved Adorkable status with the engineers here.

These definitely lack this. No 'wow', they look like things slapped together because deadline was in 15 minutes.

Sadly there's a chance that was indeed the case...

But hey, maybe Disney will buy out Hasbro and have some of their professional artists do a new cover series.

For anyone who cares about GalCiv2, I was playing some more of that game last night. My empire is the race of the Unicorns with their leader Empress (G&P) Trixie. I got through the first 2.5 years in relative peace, colonizing 6 worlds outside Equestria. I renamed the most industrious planet "Twilight" and the farthest world was renamed "Lulamoon". Because it was small. Like a moon.

I had my opponents set randomly, but I forgot I had them all on custom settings. So I'm not sure of all their abilities. I do know that there's a tiny empire far north of my position called "The French" and the two bordering empires to mine are Eddie Izzard and a merchant-oriented race called The Daehemons.
I think when empires start building their fleets of ships I should ask for ship names like how the Pony XCom games here were soliciting for troop names.

I'm not sure what you are referring to.


I mean Pinkie doesn't have a cult outside of bronies. Fluttershy refuses to use her mind control against ponies. Twilight doesn't have any 'dark, forbidden spells' just one morally questionable spell (that we've seen) with nigh unlimited power behind it.


I will point out that RD and Applejack both have problems with Rarity and her values. They both seem proud of Twilight. They are both very protective of Fluttershy. RD seems to handle Pinkie's madness on Pinkie's terms while Applejack ignores it completely, accepting that Pinkie just works on a different reality then her.

Do you mean the song? Because that's not the only mass singing event we've seen (Winter Wrap Up, At the Gala). I think ponies just like to sing.

Alright that's hilarious. I think Twilight needs to be called TIME WIZARD in every fan fic from now on. Anyways I'd say Twilight has a strong background in powerful magic, not creepy or dangerous. She also pretty much speaks with the authority of Celestia and has saved the town multiple times. I think she's earned some respect. (In fact in that episode she ended up saving the town again.)
