    Default Demon Eater

    The synopsis (copied from tvtropes):
Demon Eater is a webcomic that follows the story of Saturno, a demon from another world, where demons, in order to grow, need to eat other demons, thus aptly named Demon Eater.

In the beginning, Saturno is nothing but a blob, but by eating other blobs and small demons Saturno grows, and starts becoming bigger and stronger, taking in the characteristics of the demons eaten.

    But it's not enough.

The Demon World is actually a giant, planet-sized demon that can create offspring in the shape of the little blobs. The only way to get bigger is to eat other demons, for if anyone tries to eat from the Mother Land, it bites back.

Nobody's safe. Saturno only wants to be safe and live. What's the next obvious step?

Become the Mother Land, so that nobody is bigger than Saturno and thus nobody can eat him.

This is only the first arc. The second involves a portal that leads Saturno to another world, where he learns about giants who kill but don't eat their kills.

The third arc is of how Saturno becomes part of a "club" that aims to be like those strange beings from the other world.
I actually found this webcomic a few months ago and have been meaning to post a thread on it since then.

The art is very unique and so are the character designs. One thing I really like is how the art shifts from being very messy and dark at the beginning (much like how one imagines a newborn might see the world) to more clean and bright to match the (sometimes) lighter tone of the later arcs.

The comic does have it's problems (the biggest is probably the creators problem with "telling instead of showing" and the science is very soft) but on the whole it is a very unique comic that deserves more readers (the gal doesn't even have her own site and their are at most 6 comments on each page) I would love to talk to you guys about it too.

There's no comic if javascript isn't enabled. Is that a new "feature" of drunkduck?

Edit, wait, that's only for the first two comics. Odd.
Edit 2: Hmno, most of them don't show after the first 15 or so.

Indeed. The art starts as blah, but the story is decent, and the art eventually becomes interesting instead of garish.

I actually had the same thoughts for a while. Later the beginning art started to grow on me though. I think it's a great example of art matching story since in the beginning (when everything is savage and lawless) the art is really gritty and dark but in the later arcs (when things are a bit more lighthearted and "civilized") the art gets cleaner and brighter.

Thanks for bringing this comic to my attention. It's very interesting.

I really liked the watercolor art of the early pages

I really liked this comic until the character hit puberty. Dead fingers and Gnoph have a similar art style? Well the most like DE i have ever seen.

Really? I actually started liking the comic more when Saturno hit puberty. Care to expand on why you didn't like it?
