Ashe manouver hit the goblin, pulling back slightly toward the action. Monique aim her shot at the same goblin, but she completly miss. Following Ashe instruction, she ride back to ward the others.

One of the human aim for the wolf and let fly an arrow at the wolf. His aim is ture and the arrow sink deeply into his heart, droping the beast. The second human rush toward his fallen friend and try to stabilise it, but have a lot of difficulties and seem to worsten the man case.
Kurdt get to Gorthen, I got this one." Say the dwarf facing the goblin fighter as he attack him. The goblin nearly got hit, but deflect the dwarf axe at the last second. The second dwarf nod and step back toward his ally and work furiously to stop the bleeding. Using Gorthen belt, he manage to stop the bleeding, stabilizing him.

Seeing Bolerum weapon extend and kill off their leader, the goblin archer put some distance between themselves and the paladin. They were ready to flee, but they spot the new incoming group and decide to stay and aim for Bolerum. The Kordite take two weak arrow hits, deflect one other with Greenbane and dodge the lastone, sustaining very little damage from the archers.

The goblin wolfrider keep pushing his mount forward even thought he got dazed by the magic. As he pass by Antione, he get some revenge and manage to hit the wizard with a solid hit at the mans back. it migh thave be painful, but the strike is completly absorbed by bolerum divine protection.

The new group of enemies to the south are fast approaching, with the goblin footsoldiers running. Behind them, the two bugbear keep pace wwithout effort and the riding leader of the group simply ride. While at first, the goblin enemy leader was scanning the battlefield, when Bolerum morphed his weapon and killed the goblin curser, his gaze fell upon Bolerum and never left him as he got closer.

The Vistani disguised a hobgoblin mage looks at the approaching force appraisingly. He signals Bolerum and Rikard via the Sitak's mental link, and then moves into position next to one of the dwarves, standing over a goblinish corpse. Antione burst of magic hit all the enemies nearby, except the wolf protecting the hobgoblin beastmaster, and push them again. The radiant magic burn the wolfand burst it aflamme for a few second, after which time the wolf fall to the ground burnt to death. The goblin rider suffetr a little damage, but his mount took the blunt of the attack and look quite injured.

Bolerum words bring a smile to the tattoed hobgoblin and reply to Bolerum, Rising his sword in evident challenge to the paladin.
"Know that I am Kodan, The Blue Snake, head-hunter of the snake clan. That's the name you can in the afterlife once I fell you."

Bolerum struggle against the root and once he is free, he charge toward the goblin fighting the dwarf tyo support him. The goblin, who's attention have been draw toward Bolerum as he spoke, see him coming and line up his shield to block the attack.

The hobgoblin beastmaster gain a little assurance as he sees Kodan arrival. Seeing Rikard on his back, he use his goad to guide the wolf a little south, then to spur the beast to attack the prone fighter. The wolf savagely bite at Rikard and use his paw to claw him. Rikard quick strikes get the monste rattention, but really only damage the one to the right. AS he finihs is strikes, he enter some stance that actually look like some tribal dance you'd from barbaric tribe, his weapon striking left and right, contacntly in movement.

The goblin who blocked Bolerum's charge look a little panicked and decide that he doesnt want to fight the man who just slayed his gang leader. He disengage and run south over the hill.

You all hear Kodan yell in goblin , "Nir Tuart Fer dok!"

To the north, the one facing Ashe manage a wicked strike on the elf, pushing him away, then move south to meet up with the incoming goblin squad, more to regroup with them and the actually flee.

The two wolves keep trying to bite the life out of Rikard. As they do so, each of them get hit by the fighter weapon. This stops one of the wolf to actually bite the man, but the second still manage to close his maw on Rikard. THe tough man feel the monster teeth sink in his flesh, then the monste rtilt his head to the side, flipping him off his feets again an onto the ground.

As Ashe pass by the goblin, he slash him with is fullblade. The weapon cut off the monster leg, who fall to the ground droping his weaponand try to stop the bleeding. After a few seconds, of panic, the monster loose conciousness and the bleeding slow down as his life fade away from his corpse.

Monique ride between the goblin rider and the dwarves. THe let out a sharp sang note, with crash into the wolf facing the prone Rikard. The beast his literaly pushed back 10 feets, but not before the prone fighter manage to hit him as well. Monique direct her magic to cure some of Rikards wound and slide him away a little. Undaunted, the bard start an other tune, but this time aim for the goblin enemy leader. The monster seem to anticipate the magic and have little trouble ignoring the entrancing song.

As Kodan foot infantry keep moving, he yell in goblin,
"Rar thue niil," the leader indicate Antione, "Akt Ham Huar. Nokta muer thuer."

The foot soldiers rush forward, but one manage to charge and reach Bolerum. His spear get pass the paladin defense, hiting the man side and forcing him to the left beside the other goblin.

Seeing the speargoblin attack Bolerum, the Blue Snake tattoo leader say,
"Bil muar thuk thar. Juar thuur moka."
He ride his mount forward and charge at Bolerum, saying in common ths time"Let's see what you've made of."
As he come beside the paladin, he lower his flaming Greataxe in one quick and fluid motion. Bolerum try to line up Greenbane, but still beign alittle off balnce from the spearman attack, the axe collide onto the Kord disciple shoulder crushing part of the armor. On impact, the weapon burst with fire, searing the paladin's face alittle. A confident smile appear on the monster face as he sees his attack bloodied Bolerum.

Seeing Rikard being in trouble, the two archer position themselves and shoot for the beastmaster, hoping to kill or at least distract him. One arrow find it way in the monster belly. After their attack, one of the archer nob to Bolerum and run north-east.

The dwarves also see their leader drop to the ground. They lok at each other for a second then both nod and yell, "For Rocville's glory!"
One engage one of the wolf and the other charge the beastmaster. The wolf escape the attack, but the hobgoblin take an other hit and wince in pain as the dwarf axe open an other bleeding cut.

The goblin archer, obeying the head-hunter change their target and shoot at Monique. Four arrow fly toward the bard, but only one hit her for some minor damage.

One of the bugbear spot the isolated elf who just slain a goblin and signal the other one to come with him. Both move toward Ashe, staying apart and probably hoping to surround him.

The goblin rider who finaly shook off Antione magic turn his mount around and charge at Monique. The bard see him coming and duck under the goblin swing and position her mount to block the enemy mount as well.

    Rikard

As the wolves closed in him, Rikard could feel his frustrations mounting. He slammed his hammer down, giving him the momemtum to stand. He was flanked by the wolves, and their maws dripped with hunger, wet with the anticipation of spilling his blood. Still, they were not the greatest threat to him. They were merely a shield to the greater threat.

"What's wrong, grobi? Too afraid I'll smash you to come face me with honor? Fine, then I'll come to you!" Rikard side stepped the wolves, and hurled himself with tremendous speed towards the goblin leader. As he moved, he felt his anger surge, and the adreneline helped ease the pain of his wounds.

Rikard charge miss precision and the creature block it with his goad. Undaunted, Rikard press on with an other attack, but the mosnter parry put the fighter off balance and he swing too high, missing the monster completly.

The fleing goblin stopped in his tracks when Kodan told him to return to battle, and head back on the hill. Having the choice to go after Bolerum or the dwarf, the creature decide to charge the less dangerous foe. The dwarf is so focused on the big wolf that he doesnt hear the goblin come in and take the creature spear on the side, going right throught Bolerum defesive protection and into the creature belly. The dwarf is though, but the pain is too intense and he fall limp on the ground.

The dire wolf beside Rikard take a visious hit from the fighter offensive stance as he circle around the fighter liek a preying hound. He savagely try to bite the man, but Rikard slam his shield on the side of the monster head stoping the attack. THe second wolfs is abot to jump on the prone dwarf to finish him off, but the hobgoblin beastmaster whistle and the creature return to him, going around the other wolf and join the gang up on Rikard. The monster lunge for the human leg and manage to bite it, jerking back as he does which drop the fighter to to ground again.

The elf engage one of the bugbear. As the elf swing his blade, the bugbear spin his flail and deflect the blow.

Monique magic filled song fall upon the enemy leader, invading his mind. After a few seconds, he grunt in pain and a faint blue light surround him. Still, the hobgoblin doesnt seem to be really worried.

The goblin spearman who just mounted the wolf charge Monique, hoping to defend his leader. His spear find a gap in Monique defense and force her away from Kodan. The second fighter , seing an open path, follow the Blue Snake orders and charge the wizard. Even thought he is still affected by Antione's whispers, he manage to hit the witch.

Kodan is still disturbed by Antione magic, but he smile at Bolerum.

Monique, seeing an opportunity, weave her magic to help Bolerum disengage and slide him toward the archers to disturb them. Kodan keep smiling, but he does look impressed about the paladin's defenses. Kodan's ride him mount slowly forward to close ont Bolerum again. Antione whisper finaly end on Kodan or so he thought, butt after a few seconds the creature seem to hear something coming at him from behind and reflexively lean forward to dodge. He nearly fall to the ground, but manage to grab his wolf saddle at the last moment. Looking around, and seeing nothing, the slightly shaken goblin strainthen himself.

While his partner is running to get the battle standard for Bolerum, the other archer scan the battleground and note the goblin archer that is rising his bow his way. He point his own bow and fire first, but in his haste, his shot lack precision and miss. All the fallen allies look still alive, but one of the dwarves is dangerously bleeding.

The solo goblin archer move north to gain a better line of sight and let his arrow fly at the human archer. The arrow hit the man and he drop to the ground unconcious. The other 3 archers follow Kodan's orders, move away from Bolerum and aim for Antione. One arrow miss, but the other two hit the witch, drawing some blood.

The bugbear fighting Ashe enter some weird but effective dance with his heavy flail. The Avenger have trouble keeping pace , but manage to dodge the unpredictable weapon. Seeing that his partner have the elf well in hands and having heard Kodans orders, the bugbear wardancer move toward the main fight and charge the one he beleive to be the mage. His charge make his end up beside Monique and his flail hit her hard on the left shoulder with the spiked head of the weapon poking into an armor joint and into her flesh. The pain and impact nearly make her loose balance and fall, but still manage to stay in the saddle.

The goblin rider steer his mount to the east and rush in to support the beastmaster. As he charge at the prone fighter, he lunge forward and manage to sink his short sword into the man's flesh.

Antione magic take most of the monster by surprise, as only the goblin rider manage to escape it. Still, his mount isnt as lucky and take afinal hit that knock it unconcious, forcing the rider to dismount. Antione pull out a potion and drink it, healing his serious bleeding wounds.

Bolerum attack hit lack power, his arms still a little numb from his parry, and it is deflected harmlessly by the hobgoblin's armor. The paladin also draw a potion and drink it to heal himself as he sees this duel might take some time. The miss and potion put an even wider smile upon Kodan's face as he add,
"Whatever this is, it wont save you human."

The beastmaster take an other hammer hit from Rikard agressive movements. Severely injured, but guide his mount back, but as he does so, the prone Rikard try to strike at his knee, but too late, the hobgoblin being just out of his reach. As he moved, his closest wolf also followed and with his goad, he spur the large beast into action. Rikard sees the monster jump for him, and knowing he wont be able to dodge in time, he activate his armor magic to grant him some healing to be able to sustain the attack. The monster bite savegly , but Rikard manage to keep concious and to escape the monster mouth, bleeding from many wounds.

    Main Battle :

The blue ground is swampy ground (difficult terrain that if a creature end any turn on make a grab attempt).
The darker shades represent slopes as a topographic map. Each black shade represent a rise of 5 feets.
The number of square between shade changes represent how steep the slope is.

As exemple, the slope in G13 have the 3 shade in one square, making it a 15 feet wall to climb. On the other hand, from N13, to I13, the same 15 feet is done over 6 squares (30 feet) which make it an easy slope you can walk up to.
As a basic rule, if there is at least one square between a chade change, you can walk it without penalty.

The Brown circles are trees and can grant cover.
The brown fallen tree (weird form in G20) grant cover and concealment. It also block passage unless you succeed a DC 15 Acrobatic or Atheltic check and even there, it counts as difficult terrain (Blue shade).
The rubbles (D12) on the map are difficult terrain (Yellow shade).
Bushes on the map grant concealment and count as difficult terrain.

    Rikard

Rikard feels the blood flowing out of him, and only now does he even think of the possibility of defeat. Still, he looks up, and realizes he cannot die yet. Death comes for all eventually, but he would not die alone. Surrounded by wolves, with his men dead, he owed them the death of the goblin task master. With a final howl of challenge, Rikard makes his peace with Moradin before preparing to slay the goblin rider behind. Standing Rikard swings it mightily, praying that it swings true and slays the vile goblin.
