Guys, Iceborn gauntlet is OP on Nasus. This is all.

Iceborn Gauntlet seems pretty OP on its own, but I don't think Nasus uses it particularly well, especially when CDR and durability better serve his goals over most everything Gauntlet gives, other than the slow. Also, buying wave-push on a champion that really wants to freeze the lane seems highly counter-intuitive.

Almost had a game like that yesterday, when the other guys said to surrender at 20 minutes less than five minutes in because Tryndamere got a couple of kills, but then we won before that happened.

Our Brand was spamming surrender votes all game. Luckily, some bright spark (along with myself) had the foresight to reject the vote every time it came up. Apparently being on the cusp of victory changed their minds though, as we surrendered shortly after taking their third inhib.

On the plus side, I discovered playing Sona is really fun. Between Tristana and I, we managed to pretty much shut down their Caitlin, Jarvan IV and their Lee Sin, who kept coming in to gank us.

Hmm... So what's the opinion on building Hurricane on an AD Carry? Given your position on the team, and insane damage output, it seems like it would be a great item for melting the faces off of an entire enemy team at once, but an ADC's build is generally 'full' enough that I can't really justify replacing any of their usual items with one. Maybe as an alternate AS item to PD?

Also, now that Vamp Scepter builds out of Longsword and gives +10 damage, I've been skipping double Doran's Blade and going for one Doran's + Vamp Scepter. Good? Bad?

One new item that definitely seems geared to AD Carries is Mercurial Scepter. QSS and an extra BF Sword in one slot? Yes please!
I generally build GA as my defensive item anyway, but against a CC/Magic heavy team where you want that QSS, Mercurial Scepter looks like an absolutely wicked upgrade.

AD carries who enjoy building Runaan's:
-Enjoy native on-hit effects and AS
-Maybe don't get so much from crit
-Maybe have enough AD natively they don't need IE and BT; or have enough magic damage they don't need LW
-Use more autoattacks than not, preferably with decent range

It'll be hard to fit in builds, but I feel like the best champs to at least give it a spin on are Kog, Varus, Teemo, Ashe, Kayle, AD Kennen, and Caitlyn.

I've been building 1xDorans+Vamp prior to the change so I can't imagine it'll get much worse now. As always, Vamp is good against a poky harassy lane, not so much against lanes that all-in easily.

Scimitar makes QSS more enjoyable, but the main beneficiary seems to be champions that previously built Maw, because seriously, who's going to build Maw when they can build that monstrosity? Pantheon, Renekton, Jayce, Lee Sin, and other AD casters are going to be ri-bloody-diculous for a while.

Ayup. I've been playing quite a lot of Nasus since the patch and Iceborn/Hydra Nasus seems to be the way to go for Season 3. And It. Is. Awesome.

Hydra seems like a lot of money for something offensive that isn't Trinity Force, though. You don't make good use of the active (low AD) and using the passive with Q seems like a gimmick.

I love that Brutalizer actually builds into something now (Ghostblade didn't count), so I can pick it up early and it's not really putting me back. Tiamat/Hydra are also sweet, though I occasionally forget to include them in my rotation >.>

Wukong is seeming pretty viable, though that might just be that everyone I've gone against is struggling with the new itemization?

I don't like Vamp Scepter building out of Long Sword, though. It's especially messing with my Jax. I used to go boots+3 -> Phage -> Vamp Sceptre -> build towards Tri Force and Gunblade. The extra cost on Sceptre really feels like it's putting me back, and it's slowing down my acquisition of sustain, which is an issue.


Also, what are people starting with now? Boots + 3 doesn't seem as necessary with the nerf to level one boots. I've been trying a Long Sword + 2 pot start on a couple of tops and it seems to be working out pretty well

Well, from what I understand, Hurricane isn't going to be core on AD carries because crit itemization is too strong to forgo getting PD. I don't see where it can easily be used. What does it replace? Not PD, you need the crit. BT? Maybe if your support builds zekes. LW? No. The only item scenario I see is it replacing BT and you building Scimitar as your defensive item.

I think you and I build Nasus very differently. I like to get maybe one or two defensive items (Runic Bulwark is a favorite) after my Sheen, and then start stacking on the AD with just a touch of sustain to augment his natural lifesteal. Hydra isn't all that useful until you're late game and only worried about pushing/teamfights though, I will admit.

The Q damage is not AoE. Only the base AD bit is AoE.

Had to queue dodge a ranked game for the first time since the Elo reset, I mind-farted and and locked graves when we already had an AD carry then promised my team I would drop if the other team didn't. Its pretty incredible the amount of rage and distrust people can express within 30 seconds (I kind of understand it but it still seemed a bit over the top)

Personally, I don't have any confidence in a team that argues in champ select. It's better to just dodge and wait the half-hour.
