    Q 479

Is the WBL Table in the DMG, p. 135, showing the wealth that characters are expected to have earned, total, up to that level, or is it showing the net wealth that characters are supposed to have at that level, with reductions for expendable things?

If it's the latter, is there any WBL table that shows the total wealth that should have passed into the character's hands?

It is the amount of wealth a character of a certain level is supposed to have at his disposal.

Not quite, but there is a table how much standard treasure encounters would provide and how much of that is expected to stay in the hands of the PCs (as permanent items etc.) and not be expended potions scrolls etc. on p. 54.

I'm afraid that's incorrect; it's not a D&D 3.0 book. Instead, it's a d20 system book by a 3rd party publisher and thus outside the scope (D&D RAW) of this thread.

Can you wear a shield or tower shield like, on your back, so that you aren't wielding it and do not take the ACP or ASF penalties while it's not being used?
Also, could you attach a Crystal of Return to either a shield or a spiked shield (if a regular shield doesn't count as a weapon) in order to rapidly draw it?

Ask your DM, AFAIK there are no rules for or against this.

No to the regular shield (not a weapon), the spiked shield should work as it is a weapon.

Dispute: "Shield bash" is listed on the table of weapons, and Curmudeon said earlier in the thread that it's okay to buy/create a shield at +300 gp to make it a masterwork weapon (not the same as making it a masterwork shield).

A480: The plane of air has "subjective directional gravity", which is still gravity. Since flying in such conditions is mostly falling into the direction you want, it would slow you down.
Other planes have "no gravity" in that case feather fall wouldn't do anything.

A482: Yes, it is possible to make a half-celestial version of it by RAW. If it makes sense is a different question.

Not within the core rules. Since this deals more with knowledge than with RAW, you may want to start a new thread to get an answer to this question.

    Q 483
If i understood well, a prestige paladin or a prestige ranger is fully considered as a paladin (or ranger). Does that mean than a divine spellcaster with 4 level in one of those PrC can qualify for the Sword of Arcane Order feat?

    Q 484
If yes, does this mean he can actually use the spell slot from his divine spellcasting class (cleric for example), now considered as paladin spell slot, to cast arcane spell, potentially up to the ninth level?

    Q 485
Does a paladin, or prestige paladin, with the Sword of Arcane Order feat can qualify for a PrC that require "ability to cast arcane spells"? Like Spellsword for example.

    Thank you.

No, the Prestige Paladin and Prestige Ranger are neither Paladin nor Ranger. They have different names, and nothing in their descriptions give them the ability to qualify as the base classes.
Furthermore, they only advance previous class spellcasting, and don't provide "paladin and ranger spell slots".

Edit: this is apparently in dispute, see below.

    A484
    N/A

    A485
Presuming the prestige paladin has actual paladin or ranger spell slots, the answer is the same as for the paladin/ranger. Otherwise he cannot.

For the paladin/ranger (shortened to "paladin" hereafter): Yes.
To explain: the feat allows a paladin to prepare "wizard spells."
Quote Originally Posted by Arcane Spells

Thus, the paladin is preparing arcane spells. Then the question is if they stay arcane when he casts them. The feat doesn't say. So default to the primary source material:

To cast a spell, you must be able to speak (if the spell has a verbal component), gesture (if it has a somatic component), and manipulate the material components or focus (if any). Additionally, you must concentrate to cast a spell.

If a spell has multiple versions, you choose which version to use when you cast it. You don’t have to prepare (or learn, in the case of a bard or sorcerer) a specific version of the spell.

Once you’ve cast a prepared spell, you can’t cast it again until you prepare it again. (If you’ve prepared multiple copies of a single spell, you can cast each copy once.) If you’re a bard or sorcerer, casting a spell counts against your daily limit for spells of that spell level, but you can cast the same spell again if you haven’t reached your limit.
And that's it. A paladin doesn't have to have prepared a divine spell in order to cast it, he just picks a spell that he has prepared. With SotAO, he can cast arcane spells.

    A 483 Yes.

The variant redefines what the Paladin class is, but the name is the same.

    A 484 No.

The redefined Paladin has no spellcasting slots; it merely advances spellcasting from some other class. While they could qualify for Sword of the Arcane Order, they could never receive any benefit from that feat.

    A 485

Yes to a Paladin with Sword of the Arcane Order; no to a Prestige Paladin.

A 486: The rules grant the aquatic subtype.

    Wild Shape (Su)
At 5th level, a druid gains the ability to turn herself into any Small or Medium animal and back again once per day. Her options for new forms include all creatures with the animal type. This ability functions like the alternate form special ability, except as noted here.

    Alternate Form
... Assuming an alternate form results in the following changes to the creature:

The creature retains the type and subtype of its original form. It gains the size of its new form. If the new form has the aquatic subtype, the creature gains that subtype as well.

Q 488: Bloodstar. This spell from (Libris Mortis: The Book of the Dead), has a line in it that states:

Any creature you initially designate within 10 feet of the bloodstar that takes damage from any source must make a saving throw.

What's the saving throw? It doesn't say. Is it just a normal DC= 10+Int Mod+CL?

The natural of natural attack and amulet of mighty fists are what one primarily uses to provide weapon enhancement abilities to natural weapons like bite and claws. Do both of these need a +1 before applying the special abilities or just them being magical beforehand already cover it? Like Valorous is a +1 ability. Would NoNA and AoMF need to be +2 total to be valorous or can they stay at +1?

Amulet of Mighty Fists and similar wondrous items are not weapons; it is not possible to add weapon special abilities to them per RAW (or at least not per core; there might be something in MIC about this). Assuming it is in fact possible to treat them as weapons, they would need a +1 before they can gain any special abilities, just as is true of magic weapons.

Power points - Do the pools from different classes stack? So a psion1/wilder1, not counting extra Pp from attributes would have a pool of 4, or two separate pools of two?

    Q494
Powers known - Can you manifest a power known from another psionic class using the highest of your manifester levels? As in, a wilder 3 takes a dip in psion for 3(1st level only, I believe) powers, can he cast them with his wilder ML/pp pool(?) or only with his psion's?

Multiclass psionic characters have a separate powers known list, and a separate manifester level, for each of their classes. However they share a single power points pool, which is used for all of their classes. This is stated clearly in the Expanded Psionics Handbook.
