Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
Night 2
Planswalker closed the door to his new home and leaned back against it, sliding down to the floor. What an exhausting day. *Sigh*
He snapped his fingers, and the drafty room changed in an instant to a lovely shade of blue and white. Soft furniture appeared, and the scent of jasmine could be faintly smelled on the air. He slowly removed his clothes while still sitting, letting his senses ease him into a relaxed state. It feels so good to be home. he said as he stood up.
As he spread his wings and floated over to the shower, he didn't notice a dark cloud oozing under his doorway. The putrid smoke began covering everything that was beautiful in filth. But Planswalker didn't notice, as the sweet smell of clean fresh water covered his face and body, temporarily protecting him from the destruction around him. And the cloud intentionally avoided disturbing the fae.
Completely relaxed, Planswalker floated lightly from the shower, to find his once pristine home a wasteland. And before he could scream out for help, a dark maw that was somehow darker inside opened wide and swallowed him whole.
He struggled for what seemed like forever, but in reality didn't survive very long. The next morning, when someone knocked on his door, the whole house crumbled into a pile of ash. Only Planswalker's body lay perfectly untouched in the middle.
SpoilerPlanswalker was choked to death by a malevolent fog. He was the Seelie Agent.
SpoilerNOTE: These are the PMs I sent, not necessarily how the role was initially written. I'll announce who originally created what at the end of the game, and the way they were originally written. Though, the creator can take credit, if he wishes, during the game.
Team Villager: The Seelie Agent
Description: You are an agent of the Seelie Court in this town. It is your job to observe the town and keep it alive so that the people remain to honor their ancient debts to the Faerie. With your counterpart the Unseelie Agent throwing in his lot with the werewolves, you have been forced to get involved directly. To that end, you have decided to use your power to sow a little chaos in the werewolf ranks.
Abilities
Once per night, you may choose one person to charm with the Luck of the Faeries. If that person is targeted for a night kill, the kill will instead go to another random target among the surviving players.
Already being a Faerie, you cannot bless yourself with Luck. If you target the Unseelie Agent with your powers, this will break one of the Laws of Faerie and you both will be banished back to the Fae Realms.
You cannot choose the same target two nights in a row.
Victory condition: Kill all the Wolves

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
At least we know why Matthias was so interested in Eternis' norse god talk.
Well, it's not like me to start a day off, but I'm trying to be more active in the early game, so I'm interested in hearing fromTBFProgrammertoday. You voted Plans because he hadn't voted (he had, but I'll assume you missed it) but didn't mention Penguinator, who also hadn't voted. Could you explain why?Last edited by Beacon of Chaos; 2013-02-01 at 07:16 PM.

Well, it's the role they died/will die with. And they play the role until they die.

No, see, it's simple. The act of me replacing bladescape caused whichever role he was before going to spontaneously switch to whichever side you were on. ... I think that makes sense. Or at least, it does in my head.

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
TBFProgrammer, for now. The point at him is the only one with logic that I follow, and he hasn't really said much. In fact, both his posts yesterday were off. His first post FoS'd a dead man and his second pointed at someone for "not voting" when they had already voted.Last edited by Penguinator; 2013-02-01 at 09:39 PM.

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
Yeah, this logic is good. I haven't been paying enough attention. But, it's also wrong, so I'm going to give someone (or maybe more than one someone, I don't know) a hint to my role.
Targets so far:
Penguinator
Matthias
No one
All I ask is that you attempt to figure out my role before continuing to push my lynch. I'll go through the thread and get something better to show in a bit, but I don't have time right now.The BareFoot Programmer

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
Alright, ladies and gentleman, I'm votingTom the Mimeon the logic that wolves like to defend townies they don't think are easy lynch targets, as this makes those townies less likely to go after them. Vouching for someone because you think they've got one of your roles is meta-gamey and easy to dodge if anyone brings it up. Sorry, Tom, but even if he had one of your roles, there was no real need for anyone to vouch for him Yesterday.
The rest of Tom's contribution to the game is asking Matthias what his role was. This direct "what is your role?" is exactly the kind of pressure that got people to dislike the pressure system. So, if you would kindly point your pitchforks at the Mime, thank you.

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
On the other hand, he was also the first vote against Matthias yesterday and kept pressuring him when the bandwagons were close. Do wolves often defend a townie against another wolf up for lynch?
I think I'll switch to Szilard, a vote that has nothing whatsoever to do with him pointing at me to cover Bunny of Faith's oh-so-evil villainy.SpoilerWhat kind of paranoid mind sees that as something else. ~ The Narrator, during Stranded in Space.

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
Not paying attention, didn't get the action in. Anyways, those are people I targeted, and there should be someone else out there who also targeted them, but since it seems no one is going to pick up on it:
I hit scry interference, twice. Seer isn't my only ability and there are restrictions on who I can scry (has to do with how they play, not their role).
Edit: Vote withdrawn, I'm going to stop trying to logic for a while, since it appears my mind is not working properly.Last edited by TBFProgrammer; 2013-02-01 at 03:23 PM.

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
I think mine was the second vote on Matthias actually but the reasoning people brought up still stands. I shouldn't have said anything but I was corrected straight away and we still lynched a wolf so it still all turned out okay.
I'll vote forInternet Fleain what I see as the more likely of the two wagons given what I've seen so far.

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
that went fast
oddly enough, seemed to me were soft-claiming seer. then realized if that were case, would have voted Matt over plans. interference works with that, but still think odd claim. Still, seer claim's generally worth waiting nother day

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
Actually, if it please the
jurylynch-mob, that doesn't change much. From the scry interference, we know there are at least two scry-capable roles alive. Given my limits in that regard, I'm inclined to believe the other is town and without a counter-claim. (I also need sleep badly and will definitely not be up in time to say anything more).
My scries are restricted, I'm the better target if the lynch must be between the two of us, with IF being the better baner target if we are both alive at the end of the day. Alternatively, we could test IF's gut.
Szilard now has three votes, to my 2 and IF's 4 (Szilard never crossed out his vote on IF), unless I've misread yet again.
[[Conditional: If I'm allowed, I'd like to set a change of vote to myself to trigger in the case that I would otherwise tie with IF and be ahead of or tied with Szilard at the end of the day. (tieIF AND <ahead OR tie>S --> self, else --> S)]]
@Tom: It is a subjective thing, and my abilities change based on this subjective thing. I've been attempting to keep myself in one category, Superdark may be in another non-scry-capable one and I think the rest of you are scryable. Thank you for the question.Last edited by TBFProgrammer; 2013-02-01 at 11:21 PM.

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
Given time limitations, I'll move to Szilard.
Thank you for the reply TBF. A reply from Lex has prompted another question. Was it explicitly stated as scry interference or was it a "no result"? If it was "no result", Penguinator is rocketing up my suspicion list. No time for a reply, discussion and vote switch today so I'll leave the explanation until after your reply.Last edited by Tom the Mime; 2013-02-01 at 11:47 PM.
