Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
Conditional votes would be very powerful and very capable of breaking games wide open if allowed. I don't think they ever should be.
Szilard, though I'm wary of all these seer-like role claims.

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
In the rare occurrence of a tie vote, the first to reach the tied number wins himself a free narration.
Yeah, conditional votes are something I'm not prepared to deal with at this time. But, it would make for an interesting role.
And the Day is over. Narration sometime this morning.

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
Day 3
tap tap tap tap tap. BZZZZZZT! Rrrrrr. taptap taptaptap tapitytap tap tap taaap taptap. DING!! Ah-hah! Gotcha now. Szilard was onto something. He was just a few key taps away from discovering something important.
tap taptap taapity Beezztrupt! Without warning, his screen went blank, and the computer shut down. He reached over to reboot the damn machine when FWOOSH! it burst into flames.
Szilard quickly tapped it a few times, hoping to put out the small fire before it got out of control, but that just seemed to fan it instead.
He ran outside to get some water, but when he opened the door, he found himself looking at a mob of people. We know what you've been doing.
Yeah. another shouted. We don't like snoopy spies looking into everyone's business.
No! You don't understand! Szilard tried to reason with the crowd. I've...
No, it's you who doesn't understand. The first one rudely interrupted. We don't like your kind around here. Clicking away at your computer, thinking you can just hide in your house, while the rest of us fight werewolves. Just who do you think you are!?
But that's just it.... THWACK! Something fast and hard hit Szilard in the head just then, sending him flying backward. He'd still had a hold of the door, so when he fell back inside, the door slammed shut.
The villagers looked around to see who had fired the projectile, but there was no one to be seen. Meanwhile, the flames from the computer had been growing, and smoke could now be seen coming from the windows.
Most of the villagers had wanted to frighted the man, not kill him. So they began to fetch water, forming a water bucket brigade. But the flames caught hold of dry wood, and grew hotter and soon was out of control.
Another group tried to open the door at least, and get Szilard out. But the door was locked. And what was worse, when they tried to bust it down, all they got was very sore shoulders.
Soon everyone was watching in horror as the placed continued to burn. But at least, some thought to themselves, at least he's already dead... right? I mean, surely we'd have....
SpoilerSzilard was burned alive. He was the System Administrator.

Re: Custom Werewolf III: In Need of Trees
Night 3
The villagers decided finally that the best way for all of them to survive was to work together for the betterment of everyone. Under the leadership of TBFProgrammer, they set up watches during the night.
Having only the most rudimentary resources available, torches were lit and passed to those who would stand guard at the start. And it was precisely at this time that things began to go wrong immediately.
A thunderstorm materialized seemingly out of the air, and began to beat down over everyone's head. Sensing that the storm was not wholly natural, Tom the Mime shifted into his true form, Princess Luna of Equestria. Later survivors would comment on how it now made sense that he was always so silent.
Anyway, Princess Luna shoved TBFProgrammer inside his home. You need to stay safe! she called out. They're depending on you! She then ran back out to help others.
Meanwhile, Internet Flea also shifted form, becoming a large metal behemoth. He too began herding people inside. There seemed to be a sadness as he did this. Unknown to anyone, it was due to his inability to protect his Ward just two nights before, nor avenge his death.
Together, the two heroes saved the village from immediate annihilation. But they couldn't save themselves.
Luna, who'd used her magic to protect herself from the rain even as she herded others into their homes, felt a painful sting run through her shoulder at one point, but continued on. Later, after getting the last person in her sight inside, she looked down at her shoulder, and found it bleeding.
Feeling suddenly dizzy, she trotted a few steps toward her home, then fell forward into the mud.
Internet Flea hadn't had the good fortune to have his own protective shield to protect from the harmful effects of the Poison Rain. He too was feeling weak, when he heard the splash of Princess Luna. Not wishing to fail further, he rushed to her aid and scooped her into his large hands carefully.
He then carried her home, and with as much care as he could, opened the door, ripping it off its hinges, and shoved her inside.
That's when the village heard a loud bang, as someone fired a gun. Already weakened by the rain, the bullet found it's way into the target, killing him instantly.
When the villagers went to Tom the Mime's home the next day, all they found was a puddle of mud where she'd lain. Due to Internet Flea's help, she was strong enough to cast a spell taking her home to Equestria.
SpoilerTom the Mime was shot in the shoulder, and went home. He was Princess Luna.
SpoilerInternet Flea was shot in the head. He was the Scruffy Sentinel.
SpoilerThere was a third intended victim, but they were Baned. ((Not by Princess Luna. That was just a narration.))
SpoilerNOTE: These are the PMs I sent, not necessarily how the role was initially written. I'll announce who originally created what at the end of the game, and the way they were originally written. Though, the creator can take credit, if he wishes, during the game.
Team Villager: Princess Luna
Description: One of two Princess Ponies in Ponyville. She's come to help the Villagers protect their lands... Reasons unknown.
Abilities
Each night, safeguards one pony's dreams, preventing negative effects, but not Night Kills.
Victory condition: Kill all the Wolves.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Team Villager: The Scruffy Sentinel
Description: The Scruffy Sentinel is a bit of a lazy guardian. All he has is one guy to protect, so it shouldn't be that hard. Right? Right. Supposedly. Unfortunately, he's overconfident and lazy, so he's not that competent at his job.
Abilities
At the start of the game, the Scruffy Sentinel is given one other town player, that they know the name of. For every night he "loafs off", the Scruffy Sentinel can protect his ward the next few nights.
So if he loafs off for three nights, he can then Protect three nights, consecutively or not.
If his Ward is killed at any point, he no longer has someone to protect, and instead seeks vengeance against those who killed her/him. He gets a Limited Seer ability, which only detects the Killer(s) as Evil.
Victory condition: Keep Ward alive until the end or Avenge the Murder of your Ward.
