Re: Exploring Aatos (IC)
You catch a glimpse of a long pink object slamming into you, dealing 15 dark normal damage and knocking the sword out of your grip. Your eyes manage to follow the pink whip thing back to a large pink form hiding behind a tree.

Re: Exploring Aatos (IC)
Theo shakes his head to signal no, and then continues writing, Felt a mental probe outside your shop. Thought it was you. I ran through a game of Voltorb Flip, though. Thus the writing. I am new at this. And I've got something to sell. Are you able to buy? Torch comes around and sits on the counter between the two men. With the sudden reminder of his ghost pokemon, Theo says, "Torch, invisible and outside. Come back and tap the counter twice if someone's out there."

Re: Exploring Aatos (IC)
Valerie! I got you, don't worry. He spoke out, not to reassure her, but to reassure himself. His life changed so drastically in such a short period. He was used to death. Slaves died all the time. But there was a culprit there. A slave driver who worked them too hard, an owner who stopped feeding them. There is no one at fault here.
He lunges at her, grabbing whatever he can and heaving trying to lug her out. Fury, battered, bleeding and pissed, leaps into action again, wings flailing around furiously.

Re: Exploring Aatos (IC)
The old man snatches up the piece of paper in question and hurriedly shoves it in Torch's flame. After the paper caught on fire, Torch fades from sight as he began to float away.
No. Not now at least. Whoever was following you may already suspect this place, and I don't want to incriminate myself. Do you have any money on you?
He starts rushing around the shop snatching items at random from shelves. A broken basic ball, a silver sewing kit, and a small painting of a zangoose and seviper locked in mortal combat. You need to buy right now in order to avoid suspicion. Hopefully it will look like you're a normal customer.
This will be 63 Gold. He suddenly switches to a normal talking voice. Just let me bag them up for you quick and then you can be on your way. It's almost time for me to close shop for the night. Next time you come here, bring something legitimate to sell. In two or three days perhaps. Nothing stolen. Many thanks to Ceika for the wonderful avatar.

Re: Exploring Aatos (IC)
As you began to pull, she started to reemerge from the ground, but the one remaining gligar above-ground hit you for 15 dark physical damage on your shoulder, which caused your muscles to spasm. Your hand involuntarily released whatever it was holding: Valerie. G3 dragged her underground now that the resistance had vanished.
The rest of the battle seemed to be finishing up nicely. Duncan's croconaw fainted another, and the fire spin from Rashif's magby finally fainted the gligar on the ridge. The only gligar left was the one in front of you. It was badly hurt, and it looked like it was about to flee underground. Many thanks to Ceika for the wonderful avatar.

Re: Exploring Aatos (IC)
Janan doesn't have a chance to react. She slips away, just like that. He groped at the ground futily before realizing he was too late. His face turns red, as he fights to keep himself steady. He notices the last one trying to escape, tossing an apricorn absentmindedly. If that fails, Fury Swipes at it with his wing to finish it off.

Re: Exploring Aatos (IC)
Ovelia cursed when she saw one of the royal balls shattered and Maximus now trapped. Without a weapon there was little she could do and now that Maximus was trapped he probably couldn't reach the creature.
It was times like this Ovelia wished Maximus could breath fire. Instead he was useless, which left Ovelia with only one choice. "Come on..." She mumbled throwing the second Royal Ball.

Theo collects up his new assortment of junk and pays the 63 gold. "Thank you," he says through a wall of disappointment. This wasn't supposed to go wrong, he was almost in the clear. Seeing that Litwick was returning, Theo waved him over and left the shop. The game of Voltorb Flip still rolling around in the background of his thoughts, he began to walk back to his apartment.

Re: Exploring Aatos (IC)
As you left the sight of the pawn shop, a man dressed in a long black cloak stepped out of an alleyway to stand in front of you. The surrounding street was deserted, and the area around him was lighted by a lantern that he held in his hand. May I have a quick word with you? My name is Marcus, and I'm with the Clairsentient Law Force. He produced a small amulet showing his identity. I just had a couple of questions for you regarding the well publicized burglary of an pokeball store.
SpoilerThings you would know. The CLF is a well respected government supported class of clairsentients who investigate crimes. The law states that you must cooperate with them within reason. However, they can only commonly arrest you for further questioning under three conditions: either 1) you are violent towards them 2) you interfere with their questioning of another (either violently or nonviolently) or 3) you lie to them.Last edited by CosmicOccurence; 2013-05-04 at 01:46 AM.

At first Ovelia was about to turn and keep going. But she stopped when she saw there were two of them. If she could catch the child and the parent then that'd give her extra point.
Quickly, she dropped off Maximus and hurled a regular pokeball at the child, hoping to get lucky while Maximus charged the parent and attempted another flame wheel.

"I'm afraid you must be confused, Marcus. I never said anything about murders," Theo retorts. "A guard of House Marshall told me about the robbery, over dinner. I'm new to town, as I've said, and it's not easy to just make friends. We talked about the day's events."
SpoilerOOC: You fumbled with Murders and I have to run with it. Only thing I can think of. I dodged the inherent question of "when did you first hear of them" by answering that I had not heard of murders. Then I volunteered the information about Gardner as a pseudo-answer in it's place. This should all check out as truth.

Re: Exploring Aatos (IC)
A look of confusion passed over the man's face, and his hand drifted up to his face in confusion. Oh pardon me. I'm afraid I got confused for a second there. You see there's been a murder in the Gatsbury House recently, and there just aren't enough of us in the CLA to handle the increasing number of high publicity cases. I apologize sincerely for the mistake.
If you have any more information - about the theft or the murders - , please come forwards about them. We're offering rewards for information leading to a resolution for both cases. Have a nice night, and that zangoose portrait is very nice. He walks off silently back to where the hub is without another word. Soon the sphere of light his lantern casts disappears from view, and you are alone on the street again. Many thanks to Ceika for the wonderful avatar.

Duncan frowned in confusion. What the muk are you doing Janan? You're not going to get anything done by holding your hand out to them. They aren't poochyenas who will come to lick your fingers. They're cacnea. He did not, however, make any move to interfere with what you were doing.
One of the cacneas, a female slightly larger than the rest, holds out an arm to the carcass of one of their companions. Some of the others have gligar spines embedded inside of their hides. Many thanks to Ceika for the wonderful avatar.
