Ah, about that. I was actually going to bring that up, and then forgot. What does everyone think we should do about positions like that, the student council, etc. etc.? Some can't have more than one PC in the same role and make sense, but voting on things would also unnecessarily complicate things. First-come, first-serve is an option, but it doesn't feel terribly fair either.

For more niche/specific things (like the captain of the volleyball team), first-come, first-serve (heh... ) doesn't seem like a particularly bad idea. If someone else comes along who wants the position, they can duke it out IC (preferably not literally).

For more universal things, OOC debate and decision would suffice, I think. Maybe have this represent an IC election too...

I'd say being a member of X team or group is obviously open to anyone without question, but we should leave the matter of being leader/captain/president to OOC discussion. Obviously if no one wants a position enough to talk about it here then that's fine, but first come first serve leaves people in the lurch.

BleachITP generally went for first-come, first-serve to handle limited positions and everyone was happy with that.

Hm, I think Nexus High Sakura was part of the volleyball team. But she dropped out of the team about six months ago for reasons she refused to elaborate on. these reasons came to light about three months later when her stomach started to grow.

So if that affects how some people might interact with her (Felandria is an obvious candidate), it's something to keep in mind.

I think I'd like to lay claim to one of the "adult" positions at the school if no one else wants it, specifically that of Librarian for my arse of an archmage time traveller Waldorf. If anyone else was contemplating having a librarian in N-High then speak up, otherwise I'll probably toss him library-wards for the purpose of shushing teens condescendingly and checking out books, also condescendingly.

Incidentally, he's the kind of creepy librarian who always seems to be right behind you whenever you start to say bad things about him.

I think I'm going to organize my thoughts and make an NH post. But first I wanted to ask: even if I did rework the relationship, usually Jace and his familiar are a package deal. Would it be weird to have the pocket dragon be a student since every other person so far is (somewhat) humanoid? If so I can demote him to "that pet that everyone knows he has but is never caught with."

I did consider the former, but I feel like him being tiny is such a big part of his character. But I don't plan on being inflexible for this sort of thing, so I'll find some way to make it work without being stupid. To the thinking process! Awaaay!
