Raril smiles. "I'd be glad to hear you play. Please do." He says with an encouraging gesture. The drow loved to listen to new music.

Andy nods, and stands, stepping up onto the musicians' stage. She summons her bagpipes, and takes a moment to adjust them, then starts to play, closing her eyes as she sinks deeply into the music.

Raril listens, his head on one hand. A smile settles on his face as he too closes his eyes, enjoying the sound. His foot taps rhythmically to the beat as the song plays.

His eyes open when the song ends and the drow grins broadly. "Wonderful."

Calvin has slowly been getting himself drunk. It had been a long time since he drank enough to get drunk, but apparently he was bored here at the bar. He is on his 9th tall glass of ale and considers ordering something a bit stronger. He glances over at the bagpipe player once she starts up, but quickly stops paying attention to it. His eyes keep scanning the room as he drinks by himself.

Okami walks over to Calvin and sits next to him, saying nothing except to order another beer from the barkeep

Calvin, in case you were wondering, looks like a normal human teenager, maybe around 16. He glances over at Okami not saying anything either at the moment, sort of sizing the other person up. It isn't meant to be intimidating, just second nature for him to look for weapons, or signs of some sort of martial training. Even when he is a bit drunk.

Calvin should have no worries about intimidating the newcomer, he's in his mid twenties and looks capable of taking care of himself, despite a lack of apparent weapons.

Calvin doesn't worry about intimidating people. Before moving into the Nexus he figured out there weren't many people scared by a kid whose voice still sometimes cracked. Here in the Nexus people tend not to be intimdated by much of anything till they get to see it in action.

Calvin downs yet another beer, if the waitstaff wasn't taking away all his empty cups he would have a good sized pile in front of him. He nods hello to the man sitting down next to him as he orders another beer.

Kei-Jin looks over at the amount of glasses Calvin has gone through, Hello...
Aren't you a little young to be drinking so much? I could be mistaken though, I get confused between wolf and human years... His voice is low and gravelly, almost a growl, but definitely not aggressive, for now.

[McBish]

Calvin looks up at the man sitting next to him. He smiles just a bit and then shrugs. "Some might say that. Really though it is a right of passage for us at this age. Go out and get really really drunk." Not that Calvin seems all that drunk right now. Maybe a bit, but you would probably have to know him to notice the difference.

[Aric Kale]

Okami shrugs, Well in that case...I'll take three of your second strongest drink... The second part is directed at whoever is running the bar. Yes, the Kei-Jin can count. Two for him and one for the slightly inebriated Calvin.

[McBish]

Cosmo the grumpy barkeep pours Okami three DLBs setting them out in front of him. Calvin looks dubiously at the overly alcoholic drinks in front of the Kei-jin. If Okami does indeed give one of the drinks to Calvin he will take it and wait to drink it with the other man. Calvin's reaction to the drink is probably a little bit funny. This drink was made to knock you on your butt, and while some people can knock them back like they are nothing Calvin isn't one of them. He is probably more resistant to alchohal then a lot of people but this drink hits his stomach and it takes considerable effort not to vomit right there.

Indeed, he does pass one of the drinks to Calvin, after paying for them, and misses most of his reaction due to his own experience with the Dragon Liver Buster...
Okami doesn't vomit or cough violently, settling for massive pupil dilation (forgot to mention, his eyes eyes are yellow) and the inability to speak for the next few minutes.
That...was the second strongest drink?

"Oh second strongest. Whoops." Says the unaplogetic gnome waiter, giving a little shrug before moving on to help other costumers. Seems he misheard and gave them the strongest, or I misread and am now blaming him.

Calvin takes the few minutes of silence to regather his composure. "Thanks, though I think that will do the trick." He is definitly feeling the effects of the alchohol now.

He shakes his head and scratches behind his ears, Never considered myself a lightweight, but that...damn gnome.
By the way, I'm the Okami Kei-Jin.

"I'm Calvin, Calvin Witt. I think next time you might want to try and go for the 5th or 6th strongest drink. I tend to stick to beer or ale myself." No Calvin has not seen James Bond before, he just almost forgot to give his last name when he first started talking. He also doesn't offer a handshake or any sort of physical greeting. "Wait did you say the Okami Kei-jin? Do you have imposters following you around?"

Well, Okami hasn't either, he's not big on technology...
He also doesn't seem to mind the lack of hand shaking, as odd a custom as it is.
I'll remember that next time.

I was brought up by a group of hunters. I don't know or understand the details, but a mage in the group unlocked my shifting abilities; Something for which I am very grateful.

"So you are like some sort of werewolf?" He had mostly heard of transformation being seen as a curse when it comes to most wolf people, maybe this guy is lucky.

No, I'm not a werewolf. I'm a wolf, plain and simple. Weird, huh? The Sage doesn't take offence at the mistake, he seems to be fairly easy going.

[McBish]

Calvin looks confused for a bit. Working through what the wolf man just told him. "So you were a wolf, then they gave you the ability to turn into a man?" Calvin nods, mostly to himself, thinking that makes sense. "Doesn't seem all that plain or simple."

The door to the bar swings open again. (Again)
Those who care enough to look up from their drinks see an empty doorway. Until they look down. There stands a small, dark-skinned human, with a large smile spread across his face.
Kordson eyes the crowd as he walks over to the bar. This was easily one of the strangest places he’d been, yet it all seemed rather familiar.
Hopping up on a barstool, Kordson flags down a server. Rifling through his bag the young man places a handful of money on the counter and inquires,
“So uh. What will 2 dollars, 6 gil, and a few copper coins get me?” Looking at the ridiculous assortment of currency the serving girl rolls her eyes and retorts, “Aren’t you a bit young to be in a bar little man?”
“HA! Haven't heard that one before. Well today anyway. Ain't ye a bit homely to be a servin’ wench?”
Kordson narrowly avoids the getting a face-full of some foul smelling liquid as he rolls backwards off the seat.
“I prefer my drinks in a glass thanks," laughs the little man as he takes a seat at a nearby table, "So I’ll take a fresh one over at my table. Keep the change.”
Kordson takes a quick look around to see if anyone else had gotten hit with the flying booze. With a smile still on his face he waits patiently for his drink. It was odd but something about all this felt like Deja-vu.

He just shrugs, I suppose not, I just- now he's dodging drinks! The Kei-Jin moves with inhuman reflexes and allows the drink to fly past him, hopefully not into Calvin...

[McBish]

Calvin, who is normally very aware of his surrondings and would have easily dodged the incoming drink, is drunk. He gets hit in the chest with the drink. With a startled noise he gets up trying to clean up the drink grabbing a rag off the bar. He glares angrily around trying to find the source of the flying drink. His eyes land on Kordson and he frowns and calls out agressively. "Hey keep your flying drinks to yourself."

The door opens, and a titan of rock and magma walks in.

"Greetings. My name is Ga'roth. I am looking for work. Does anyone know where I could find some?"

The door open and ghost, the guard of the gateway to hell, walks in. He sits at a table with his back to a wall. He orders an ale and surveys the room quietly.

"You look as lost as I am, my friend. Newly arrived?"

"Well my friend," ghost mumbles "I heard you were looking for work? Is this true?"

Ga'roth nods his titanic head.

Ghost looks up at the lumbering magma creature. "Well kind monster, you're in luck." Ghost looks out towards the hills. "If you can bring me a goblins head I will grant you a job people from all over wish to gain." Ghost looks back to the room "I will be waiting."

To the Hunting Grounds!

With a startled noise he gets up trying to clean up the drink grabbing a rag off the bar. He glares angrily around trying to find the source of the flying drink. His eyes land on Kordson and he frowns and calls out agressively. "Hey keep your flying drinks to yourself."

Kordson turns towards Calvin and Okami. A sheepish grin crosses his face. Stepping from his seat onto the table, Kordson make a grand gesture and bows deeply.
"My humble apologies good sir. The lady's aim seems to been a tad off and it appears you have a nack for attracting booze," laughs Kordson indicating the many glasses decorating the area infront of Calvin.
The server shoots an icy glare at the little man as she drops off his drink. This only causes Kordson to chuckle more.
"I'll tell you what." Kordson picks up the glass. "If you forgive me fer my bit of drink dodgin', the next round 'll be on me." With that, Kordson tosses the liquid in his glass up into the air. He tilts his head back and catches the drink in his mouth; well the few drops that didn't land on his face anyway.
