Didi isn't very good about expressing her feelings. Remember when she was trying to get Gary to bang her after he was de-virginated?

Zii is essentially having an existential crisis. For most of her life she's been a rampant slut (I say this as an observation of fact, not as a derogatory term), sleeping with anybody she felt like, and was perfectly happy with that life. Now she's screwed up the one relationship she actually wanted to keep, and it's making her re-evaluate her life and priorities.

Pretty much, yeah.

Hangups over lesbianism, I'd say, on Didi's end. Didi seems to have them and hasn't really realized that they're just people, same as anyone.

Oh god, it's unbearable... I know it's probably not that bad but this whole story arc is driving me mad unless we will get some spelled out reason what keeps them from just shagging it out. My gosh... didn't DiDi come to the conclusion that Zii would be perfect to get her her long dreamed-of orgasm? She wasn't that subtle with Gary. Scratch that, she did about anything but climb into his bed to get sex-god Gary to eat her out. And now? We do know that DiDi has at least some lesbian tendencies. Well, she tried it more than once and she didn't mind Peggy. And she was quite sober then. Just jump Zii and she will give in much faster than Gary, probably. That's not perfectly morally fine but this is Ma3.

This is my thought too. Once upon a time, there was a clear plot with many complications, get Gary laid. Then other plots were introduced, some changed, and then they all kinda exploded and...I'm not sure what's happening now except stuff with no context anymore. Why is Didi suddenly sane again? Way to much happened at once, and nothing get resolved from it, and now everything is just sort've dull gags that don't seem to fit quite right.

Is it because she doesn't like Didi? Clearly not the case.
Is it because sleeping with her roommate would make things awkward? Never bothered her before now, AND they have the place to themselves while Gary is off being a Swirly-based porn star (at least, this is what I assume is happening to him, given the story so far).
Doesn't want to make Sonya/Yuki jealous? If anything, finding another 'girlfriend' would emphasize how much she DOESN'T want Sonya/Yuki around.

Is she trying to maintain some semblance of monogamy, yet has forgotten that she 'broke up' with Eric and is soon in for a nasty shock when she remembers a certain drunken phone call? And that, if Eric has taken it seriously, all of Zii's frustration and angst about staying 'faithful' is all wasted effort?

People keep forgetting things way too quickly (those particular pages are safe):
1. Zii is perfectly aware, that she and Erik are not together anymore.
2. When Didi sobered up, the idea of getting "the big O" from Zii seemed to freak her out.
It's not the most sane scenario, but there is some reason behind it.

With Sandra, it went immensly awkward for both of them. In the recent encounter with what's-her-name she was plastered. Furthermore Zii has shown level of affection, which really might rise some additional doubts.

At any rate, it is not more contrived then anything else in the comics - especially the recent therapeutic session.

I'll admit there are some reason but I still think it feels more contrived than most things before. It does to me, at least.
