Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Watching Adventure Time reruns while in Asia. It was good actually and saw
Spoilerthe beginning of the Lich, the oldest one not recent one.
On Asia Cartoon Network,
Good News: No Live action stupidity and Johnny Test (Aside from Tricky TV skit but it's short).
Bad News: No adult swim. Oggy and the roaches. Not even Young Justice reruns.Last edited by t209; 2013-07-01 at 07:54 PM.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
You know, one would think she would really know better. I mean, the Lich. She got possessed. Then again, if she can make a soul, or something like one anyway, she can probably wave that off too.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
I'm more then a little worried, with her sanity, that she's going to snap in the last show of this season and yell something at someone that reveals something and leaves us screaming at the TV for more.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Just asking, so that oldest lich episode was the one she got possessed and rebuilt into 14 years old. and Finn the Human was the recent one. I kinda didn't see many new episodes since I won't have cable until I came back from Burma (no sure if cartoon network in Burma has new episodes).

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Well, the Lich did get a cameo in Billy's theme song way back, but yeah, the Lich breaking out of the amber and then possessing PB's body was his first appearance.
Speaking of PB... it seemed like she made everything harder after opening the Wizard Wall.Don't know your name but bring the pain.

Can't...stop....laughing...that dance.....
Also, on a more serious note: Ron Perlman voices the Lich.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
I just cannot compute how nasty Jake can get. Using that dance after all this time and in THAT situation of all caught me completely unprepared. I love how whenever they make a bet, everything goes. Everything.

Nice to have a silly episode again, rather then nightmarishly terrifying like Lemongrab cannibalism. Sorry, I still can't get over that scream.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Personally, I think Jake spreading throughout Finn's body is the most sickening, gruesome and disturbing image I've seen in AT. Jake may be a magic dog, but Finn is mostly normal. So, what, did Jake seep into his marrow or his nervous system? That's Alien levels of squick.

Finn is mostly normal except for the fact that he can survive dipping his head in lava.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Okay, wait... I just found this thread. I had this thread saved in my subscriptions and I thought nobody was saying anything this whole time. So why did we have 2 AT II threads? Frankly, I'm glad this thread exists because it means that people are still interested and because the thread I had was named in a really underhanded way.

Er, so:
SpoilerThere's one other completely confermed human on Ooo, but he looks every bit of his age and is probably only breathing because of all his essencial parts being robotic. At least he's pretty nice and all.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
I was a little bit disappointed about how the episode turned out.
SpoilerThe ending was a little too feel good for me. In the start, things are very dark. Beemo seems to be dying and the other robots continue to repeat their same jobs even as everything is ancient and ruined. When they meet Mo, it's still not too bright. He's crippled, but alive and he has a few loyal robots keeping him alive. When he said that he made Beemo for his child, I somehow expected him to have lost his son instead of just never having one. So then they discover a whole city of robots...
There was nothing wrong with this episode, but I guess I just wished it was a little more dark.
Besides that though, they found a city of Beemo's people. What happens next? Beemo leaves and the city gets pushed to the side mostly and only shows up in mentions and special episodes? That's my guess. That's pretty much what happened with Jake's children. The writers keep creating these life changing events and then ignoring them.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
SpoilerJake's kids do show up from time to time, and I do feel that Jake has some unresolved feelings toward them as show in the Pillow dream episode and the last Grayable.
As for the ending, I actually liked how sweet it was. And come on, this is BMO we're talking about it. He accepted a marriage proposal from a bubble, believes his reflection is a girl named Football and seemed to be completely bonkers in BMO Noir. BMO nonchalantly saying hi to a city full of his relatives seems perfectly normal to me.
Really liked the title shot for Be More. Shame they only last for like five seconds on the TV.Don't know your name but bring the pain.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
SpoilerI'm not really talking about it from the point of the characters. The reason Jake's children grew really quickly was so that they wouldn't have to ruin the Finn and Jake dynamic by having him move in with the women he knocked up out of wedlock.
Beemo nonchalantly saying hello to them isn't strange, but if you were the only one of your race and suddenly you met a whole city of them wouldn't you have to think hard about whether or not to join them? Finn kind of went through this already with the fish people for a short time. I suppose you could make the argument that because Beemo is made to live with a family of people, he wouldn't care though.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
SpoilerWell, as it is, it seemed that Beemo knew where the factory was, in general, and that there were more of Mo's robot's running around. But, if the actions of the robot police or the greeting robot goes, there a lot more set in stone and are more robot-y in personality.
Also, on the matter of the rainicorndogs, I thought of something that could suffice as a half-assed reason for there growth rate besides plot magic: both dogs and horses are known for having pretty short "childhoods", so it's entirely possible that a hypothetical pairing between the two would have offspring with "squared" lifespans. No, it doesn't make sense, but Jake's a magical dog and Lady has enough weird powers anyway.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Okay, I actually don't understand something about Be More.
SpoilerWhy was Beemo deleting his files? Was it some kind of joke? Was it a virus of some sort or a bug maybe? I expected that to come into play later in the episode, but it didn't (unless I missed something). Was there something I just didn't notice or is it ambiguous as to why it was happening?
Edit: It also seems that they've planned out 31 episodes for this season. This seems strange to me to end at this number. Is this source wrong?Last edited by hobbitkniver; 2013-07-25 at 11:46 PM.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Deleting files seemed to give Beemo some kind of heady experience? That was sort of the impression I got. Then she kind of got carried away and deleted something vital by accident.
