Casimir shakes his head vehemently at the idea of sneaking anywhere. "I'll just stay with the rest here." he murmers quietly, rubbing his by now tired eyes a little.

Josie decides to make his way back and reveal what he has seen to the group.

He approaches with his hands raised, less some triggerhappy mercenary mistake him for a small animal. "Gather everyone, I've got a little to tell. And you may want to put out that fire for a bit." You notice that he actually seems a little serious for once. He glances a couple of times over his shoulder when he first arives, as if possibly expecting to be followed.

After everyone is once again awake, or at least the ones who choose to wake up and here what the scout discovered, Josie reveals what he knows: "There is a town up ahead, or something like it at least, but something was a bit off. The doors and windows were built to defend against something, and the grass was overgrown. It's possible that's from a lack of caring, but I suspect they were busy with other things. They had some sort of tavern, and as best as I could tell they were telling warstories inside. Something about taking a castle with an army. Then I saw some sort of scout take off into the night. Something doesn't feel exactly right, but I didn't see anything concretely wrong either."

Simon shrugs, figuring that Fillangus would head in regardless, leaving them little choice but to follow.

"Since I imagine that Fillangus is not going to change his mind, it would seem that we have little choice. We will, however, need to set guards tonight."

"You mean you'd rather set guards then sleep with a nice warm fire and a pint of ale?" Fillangus Doddlehop asks skeptically, knowing full well Simon's distaste for trail rations.

Simon looks to the merchant, his helmet concealing his expression.
"I figure that you will head into town regardless of our advice, and if there is suspicious activity, then setting guards, even in the otherwise peaceful tavern, is needed."

"Vary well." the merchant replies shrugging. "Probably wouldn't hurt in these parts anyways."

As you progress along the trail, still clearing overgrowth even in the dark of night, you notice a human female in a tree aiming a drawn bow at you.

My handful of d20s says a little under half the group notices DC14 spot check before even adding mods, one of which being Fillangus Doddlehop himself, who exclaims loudly pointing speechless at the potential bandit.

Josie recognizes her as the one he saw before hiding in the grass.

Firing the arrow into the overgrown trail in front of the party the potential bandit notches another one.

Having listened to the conversation between Simon and Fillangus Santiago shrugs, echoing Simons thoughts, but knowing full well it was a waste of time to voice them as nothing would change.

He was ready when the arrow came down before them, but he had not seen the woman who shot it, until someone pointed her out. He crooks his thumb on the hilt of his sword as his left arm holds his shield. This was obviously a decoy, or perhaps a warning, either way, he was looking out to the sides for others.

"Keep alert, could be others in the trees."

Cassie sees the man perpare himself ands is curious about him she thought... He either very brave or very stupid... she shifts herself in the tree to hide better seeing as there to well equipped to be travelers.

Josie decides to forgo revealing his unique position for the time being. A single bandit couldn't take this entire troupe regardless of how skilled. Where there was one, there could be many, but Josie had a hunch that the branches were light. "Now you've given away the element of suprise. Are you sure that was the right decision in your position? Whatcha' want?"

Fillangus Doddlehop lets out a small shout of alarm, and dives behind his wagon.

Santiago flinches as an arrow swooshes by his face.

"WHAT the HELL was THAT!" he exclaimed, turning to fully face the hidden archer, he stormed up, shield ready and began to yell at her/him.

"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? EITHER YOU ARE STUPIDER THAN A HAIRY HORSES ARSE, OR YOUR FRIENDS HAVE GONE AND LEFT YOU ALL ALONE!"

"What the hell do you want?" he says, exasperated.

Newcomer:
Now out of the cover of the trees your torchlight flickers over her thin frame. A thin human girl, who's beauty, while far from Kila's, is noteworthy, with long hair as dark as pitch, and cool blue eyes survey the group, so light they nearly appear white. Thin as she is, she hardly looks a threat, but the dexterity with which she lands, and the ease with which she drew the bow bespeak a sinewy sort of strength.

Oldcomers:
The band seems to consist of three mules, a cart, a cowering merchant, and no less then nine mercenaries, some sporting wounds from large claws and fangs, but all looking ready should they need to fight.

Josie yawns at the hunter's reaction. "Your expression don't agree with your position. You're vastly outnumbered. Even a cuthroat benefits from prudence accasionally don't ya know?"

Cassie smile widens as she puts away her bow and draws one of her scythes wielding it as if she had done this a millon times before.

Simon, having stood there, waiting patiently, speaks up, moving towards the front of the group.

"Are you still intending to try and kill us? Or have you changed your mind."

Santiago looks to Simon tired of whatever the hell was going on already.

He shakes his head "I don't think so, I'm not sure what she is doing, she shot at me and won't respond, I wander if she is a mute?"

quietly as if she normally doesnt speak ...why are you coming to this village for...?

Simon looks back to Santiago
"Possibly, but either way, she probably should put down her weapons, lest she discovers that 9 to 1 odds are really not much fun when you are the one."

He then looks back to the girl
"So, what's it to be. Do we kill you, or are you going to surrender?"

disappointed she throws her scythe at simon feet and draws another one from her back [COLOR= *Purple*]...i challenge you to a one on one fight if i win you do as i say if i lose i will serve you until you see fit...[/COLOR]

Santiago smiles.

"Oh yes, I like her!"

Looking to Simon, "Well, what say you?"

Simon looks at her in amazement, and shakes his head.
"Girl, do you think I am an idiot? Why would I accept such an offer? Now, put down the scythe. We have no reason to hurt you, although you might want to offer to bandage Santiago there."

Fillangus Doddlehop pokes his head up from the wagon n time to see the thin little girl challenge the only guy in full plate, and doing so with a farmer's tool none the less!

"Whoah woah woah woah! What... What is this!?" he asks, terror creeping into his voice. "Merchant!" he exclaims loudly pointing at his wares and himself. "Bandit?!" He asks just as loudly pointing at the girl as if speaking loudly would resolve all their troubles.

Simon looks at her in amazement, and shakes his head.
"Girl, do you think I am an idiot? Why would I accept such an offer? Now, put down the scythe. We have no reason to hurt you, although you might want to offer to bandage Santiago there."

Simon ignores her statement that he forfeited, beyond wondering, for a moment, why she made it.

she looks at all thier faces with sadness ...you all are cowards not wanting to fight a girl to a one on one you rather hide behind numbers cowards... she said angerly at the end.
