Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
@Shneeky: According to Bevo, there's a version of LP coming down the (pardon the pun) pipe that uses TE ducts instead of BC pipes. No idea if it'll still require anything from BC, but he showed it off. It was still in alpha at the time though, so grain of salt and all that.

Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
Your profile is just a separate environment kept on your computer's end to keep all of your preferences per version from mixing up, what you name it does not matter and the server doesn't look at it. So, yes, LorinTN is the name that needs to be whitelisted.

Except the crafting methods, and the ability to maintain a certain number of items in a chest. Or deliver them on request. Plus TE3's ducts can occasionally be a bit strange about where things end up.

I assume you want a server that goes beyond LAN; for that, just copy the save to a server and copy it back afterwards.

Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
According to the MC forum you can do the following: "While in your Single Player world, press Esc -> Open to LAN -> Allow cheats."
(For a more permanent option someone suggests: "The best way to do it would be to exit your game, get NBTExplorer and use it to open your current level.dat, then change the AllowCommands property from 0 to 1, save and exit, then start up Minecraft again.")Last edited by Domochevsky; 2014-04-30 at 02:17 PM.

Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
dang, not exactly simple then. Wasn't the whole point of making singleplayer worlds have the same loading issues and such as multiplayer worlds so that you could easily turn a singleplayer world into a multiplayer one? What happened to that?

Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
Okay, so I can log in now, sort of... This morning I logged in and looked around for about half an hour, but I quit when I got stuck loading stuff for ten minutes on a road somewhere. Now whenever I try to connect to the server, I just get a blank white loading screen. I've been sitting at this one for the last twenty minutes and the client gives me the (Not responding) message and I haven't got the faintest idea why. I tried turning the draw distance and graphics to the minimum to see if that might help, but it still isn't loading for some reason. Does anybody have any ideas for a solution? Is there some kind of server issue?

Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
That wouldn't really help him figure out how a temple's roof should look, though, and in creative mode cheats are enabled by default anyway. I assumed he wanted advice on how to build the thing and wanted people to be able to go around it and see it from all angles to help with that.
I thought that that was more about simplifying the coding so that Mojang (and modders) wouldn't need to maintain different code for multiplayer and singleplayer. It does also mean that you can simply open a local server to your area network and have it work, too, which can be useful sometimes.
On another note, I've just become about a thousand times more excited for 1.8 with the changes to slime blocks and pistons in the latest snapshot. I can see so very many amazing redstone contraptions built with super-sticky pistons. Already people have designed some basic flying machines, but I suspect that a lot of what's done with them will be simpler and more reliable elevators.

Draconi Redfir, if it's all the same to you, maybe you could try posting pictures of how things look right now?

Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
I remember someone with access to the internal workings of the server, probably Saposhiente, commenting at one point that lots of people seem to log on, mess around for a few minutes, then, when no one else is on, log off, only for someone else to do the same thing a short time later. Part of the problem, basically, is that there's so often no one on that no one comes on, making the problem self-perpetuating.

Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
Yes, im aware. Im done playing the server till its either updated or Elm11 has time to come back and we work on what we were working on. And im sure atm the server will update first. Ive iterated my Base twice and the other things i was working on have been either completed or ive abandoned them for being to problematic (Blaze Farm ~ made a Error in the early construction and its such a damm pain to get in and try and fix it, tried many many times.)
I play 1.7.4 Solo and on a small server currently. Just found a ice Spike Plain in my solo world which im right pleased about ~ Random Portals ftwLast edited by Leon; 2014-05-03 at 09:48 AM.

Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
Guys, because of the changes in 1.7.9, server isn't going to be updated for a while, unless you want me to update the main server to 1.7.2 beta (dangerous) (compatible with 1.7.4)

Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
"Update" to something pre-Adventure-Update? Eh, none of my business I guess.
ION: I have a list of a potential set of mods I would like to use some time (for 1.6.4 release.) Could someone tell me if the Tinker's Construct alteration is even possible, and how? Also, I would like to know people's opinions on the list.
Spoiler: The List- Portal Gun
- Enhanced Portals
- Dimension Doors
- Mystcraft
- Twilight Forest
- Aether 2: Genesis of the Void
- DivineRPG
- Atum
- Eternal Frost
- Tropicraft
- Extra Utilities
- Witchery
- Tinkers' Construct (altered such that putting an ore in the smeltery only produces three nuggets worth of liquid)
- Iguana Tweaks: TiC
- Mo' Creatures
- Biomes O'plenty
- Natura
- ExtrabiomesXL
- Hunger Overhaul
- Pam's Harvestcraft
- Metallurgy 3 (grinders disabled)
- ExtraTiC
- Hardcore Ender Expansion
- Recipe Changer (configured such that: each ore smelts into a single nugget (instead of a whole ingot) in a furnace; Ender Quarry requires Dragon Essence instead of a sapling; sag-mill requires Ardite instead of iron)
- EnderIO (configured so that the sag-mill only makes one dust per ore)
- Ender Storage

Re: Minecraft Thread XII: Don't Kick the Bukkit
Not Minecraft beta; Bukkit beta. I'm talking about using a beta build of Bukkit (not always safe) to run Minecraft release 1.7.2
