Lisaa follows into the street and stands shocked and silent at the sight of the carnage. Finally she manages to say "This is very bad. Yes, someone must inform the guards. Whoever did this must be very powerful ... and quick." She begins to search for clues about the murderer and the progression of events.

Bronsk manages to stop the worst part of the bleeding, before Mia joins him and kneels down too. She places her hands on the wounded man, and they glow with a blue light for a few seconds as the wounds close, removing him from the door of death. However, there was something about the way the bitemark healed that left Bronsk with some worry.

A worry that Lisaa can confirm, as her search reveals not only human footprints suddenly changing into that of a wolf, but the scent that is in this area is all to familiar to her as that of a werewolf. From her studies of the crime scene, Lisaa can conclude that there is one person missing, as there is one pool of blood without a victim in it. It also appears that three of the four killed, and the one who was wounded, were killed by whatever had caused the mysterious pool of blood, as all four of them are lying in a heap around it. The killer must've taken down the four around him, before he proceeded to slaughter the final guard who was trying to flee. After that, only the trail of blood remains.

With a worried look at Lisaa and Karl, Bronsk racks his brain, trying to recall a way to keep lycanthropy from setting in.

Bronsk realize that there are three ways to cure Lycanthropy. It can be done by consuming fresh belladonna within 1 hour of being infected, a Cleric can remove it with a spell that Removes Diseases or otherwise Heals the victim, but only within three days of the bite, or the Curse can be Removed during a night of a full moon. However, there is no way to prevent it from taking place, other than to cure it.

Bronsk looks at Mia.
"Can hyu cure diseases using magic? Thiz man has been...infected."

[Maryring]

"Cure magical diseases? Yes, I can do that." She places her hands on the man once more. "Why? What kind of disease do you think he has?"

[Amiria]

Lisaa

"Apparently only one creature did this. And it is probably badly wounded. Maybe we can still catch it."

Karl nods. Yes, we need to catch the killer quickly. We don't want a panic about this killer, do we? He gives the other werewolves a significant glance. Priestess, when you've cured the infection, can you take this man to a hospital or... he grimaces. Whatever sort of places you take injured people to here.

Bronsk looks up at the elf, anxiety in his eyes. "Are hyu sure we should?" After a second glance at the guards, however, a light of conviction enters his eye.
"No, hyu are right; we must do what we can." He stands. "Mia, please look after this man? He iz diseased, and we need someone to tell what has happened. Please?"

[Maryring]

"But... what about you?" Mia says as healing energy pours out from her and into the victim. "Are you going to track down whoever did this? That's too dangerous. What if you get hurt or... wait, bitemarks... disease... She turns to the others. "A werewolf..." Her eyes shine with slight fury. "No way. It's way to dangerous. What if it kills or infects you as well?"

Werewolves aren't undead, replies Karl. If we're killed, we can't be infected. But don't worry, with Lisaa's tracking skills we'll be able to ambush the beast, and I'll burn it to death with magic.

Bronsk smiles. "And I'll keep us alive in the meantime. If we're bitten, we'll come straight to hyu, all right?"

[Amiria]

Lisaa

"We'll be careful. And we'll seek out healing immediately if we are bitten."

[Maryring]

Mia bites her lip and clenches her fist for a few seconds, before her grip softens. "Okay... but be careful. I'll get this man to safety, but I'll come after you as soon as I can." Mia bends down and picks up the fallen guard. "Just, promise me that you'll be careful."

No problem. Let's get going then. Karl starts to walk after the trail of blood.

Bronsk nods. and starts off after Karl.

When they are alone on the road, out of earshot of other persons, Lisaa speaks softly to her companions. "I'm not sure if he is really that badly wounded, be careful. I have some silver arrows in my quiver, do you also have some silvered weapons ?" She stops for some seconds to check the trail and sniffles.

Bronsk shakes his head.
"At best, I will be only a distraction in combat. Vakri knows these things better than I."

Silver weapons? Karl looks shocked. I don't even want to touch such things.

[Maryring]

The trail of blood leads the group through the less travelled paths of the city. The trail is rapidly diminishing as it is obvious that the one they are chasing is running as quickly as he can. Eventually, the trail hits one of the keeps in the city wall. The door into the keep has been broken into splinters, and the inside is empty, though there are no blood stains that would signify a fight. The door on the other side has also been busted through, and the trail disappears out into the scenery behind it. The grass on the other side of the wall makes the trail of blood very difficult to follow, though the scent left behind is still strong enough. The trail seems to be leading into the same forest as Ami's hut is hidden.

Bronsk mutters a Miklaar curse that would scorch the ears of anyone who understood the language. He keeps his eyes and ears sharp as he follows the trail.

Lisaa

"The scent is still strong. Let's hurry.", says Lisaa and follows the scent quickly.

[Ozzy_G]

Karl follows, casting a spell to disguise himself as a normal local townsman. Underneath the illusion, his form shifts to that of a wolf-man hybrid.

[Maryring]

The trail leads the group back to Ami's old home, strangely enough. The door into the building is open, and a trail of blooddrops lead into the building. The four cannot hear anything from inside the building though, and they cannot see the werewolf inside it either, though it should be somewhere inside the building.

Moving carefully, Bronsk does a brief circuit of the house to try and ensure the werewolf hasn't ducked out a window, listening carefully for sounds from inside.

Through superior hearing, Bronsk manages to hear the sound of a creature breathing heavily from inside, probably the werewolf, as there is no sign of it exiting the building.

Bronsk makes his way back around and nods at the others. With a sigh, he pulls a small handaxe from his belt and hoists it with distaste. He moves for the door, waiting for the others to fall in behind.

Lisaa

Lisaa nods. She draws a silver arrow from her quiver and puts in onto the bowstring. Then the elf follows slowly and carefully, suspecting that they won't be able to surprise the murderer.

There is no sign of the werewolf on the first floor of the building, however the (now almost gone) trail of bloodstains lead up to the bedroom on the second floor.
