    Amy pulls out a fragment of onyx, finely inscribed with an impossible repeating geometric pattern then she focuses on the waves of magic flowing around the battlefield, using her enchanted ring to bring them into sharp focus, looking for all evidence of spellcasting signifying a magical ambush.

    So ... to be clear. We lose this, and the world ends? Right?

    Looking troubled, like there she is wrestling with some dreadful decision, Amy pulls out silver coin, makes a fist around it and mutters a word of power. It crumbles to dust which she throws in the air around Airn, chanting softly. The dust floats into an unknown holy symbol before crackling with power then blowing away on the breeze. Airn glows a faint blue colour.

    There is a flickering across the small glade as the strange fey summoned veil of illusion crumbles and fades away revealing a surprised looking party of sinister looking adventurers on the far side of the clearing a bare 100ft away from where you are clustered. THe other party is a motley collection of evil doers - a pair of sinister looking veiled warriors, lithe and wrapped in shadowy cloths, a hulking efreeti genie with a massive curved blade mounted atop a massive rearing black fiendish six legged mount, a large blue skinned wing devil and a pallid cleric in a long purple robe clutching a mace of office in one hand the the other hand an ancient artifact of evil, long, weathered and beyond dead the cruel and powerful Hand of VECNA!


    They look up in shock, a muttered curse in Ignan as they see you suddenly. All hands leap towards weapons as all ready for battle!

    Getting no answer from her friends, Amy pockets the runestone looking slightly relieved.

    We need to separate them and hit them individually.

    She mutters a few words, reaching deep within to the raw eldritch power there. A few flakes of snow fall on the party and the air grows cold. Across the clearing, the ground rips apart and great tentacles emerge. As they reach for the evil adventurers, Amy stares at the group, trying to work out their roles in that party.

    The black tentacles lash out grabbing both of the lithe veiled and shadowy figures in their tight embrace. The massive hulking winged demon bulls his way out the tentacles as does the effreet and his strange mount. THe cleric just walks free, untouched by the grasping tendrils. As the party launch their attacks the enemies moves slowly. THe blue demon walking out the evards advancing some 30ft, with its massive spiked chain draggnig behind it as it summons a powerful magic circle against good to ward it and its allies.

    Both of the veiled figures vanish and appear beside the devil in poffs if dark smoke as they dimension step their way to freedom. THe effreet and its starnge mount trots up to forma line with the devil and the monks, a crackling sheet of fire erupting in a ring around the heroes, the black flames crackling with evil energy.

    Darl Quethos himself walks forward unharmed through the tentacles joining his allies (behind them) the hand of Venca glows black as he touches his holy symbol summoning "something" as a shimmering form begins to appear on the other side of the ring.

She raised a hand to forestall Amy’s counterspell, trusting her own protections. Innstead, she must focus on the threats at hand. A quick motion to the huge earth elemental sent it sinking into the ground, laying in wait ...

    Then she cast another spell, calling forward billowing, caustic clouds. "The acidic fog should slow the others down ..."

    Amy moves away from Alyssa, but not before the cleric feels a surge of powerful necromantic power start to form around the elf, as if she started summoning the energy to cast a powerful death spell and ferociously stamped it back down.

    Instead Amy traces intricate lines in the air and strands of transmutation burn in the air in front of her before the form of the nearest warrior seems to shimmer and warp.

    Power swirls across the meadow, the wall of force crackling as a vast green cloud erupts around the evil party hiding them and their baleful features from view. Insude the ring of fire X17 expands hugely as his scroll expends its power and Amy's blast of baleful magic is resisted by the enemy monk.

    Even as flames and acidic clouds descend a pair of massive 15ft long dire tigers appear behind Amy and Alyssa, initially red and spiked there is a cloud of sparks as Alyssa's spells dlam into the dark summons and like they are being dipped in paint the red scales and long barbed claws shimmer and transform into gleaming white fur and golden claws, both celestial dire tigers snarling, unsure of what is happening!

    Within the cloud the hulking blue winged devil lies exposed and the genie atop his six legged mount sits with his head and shoulders out of the top of the fog cloud like an obscure cake decoration!

    The blue devil gestures at the party and vanishes, appearing a second later in the midst of you all, spiked chain and claws lashing out with savage powerful blows! As he bites at Alyssa whips X17 with its chain from a mere 10ft away.

    The devil’s chain scrapes harmlessly across X17’s armour, the towering robot mirthlessly chuckling, red eyes gleaming.

    He swings his huge blade in 4 dreadful arcs, but his actions seem to be more measured than previous headlong charges.

    Attacks miss but X17 would be unaffected by the stun anyway as the banner of storms eye provides stun immunity.

    Full attack, attempting to slam the devil repeatedly into the wall of force if possible with a knock back on each attack. If I understand correctly it was ~30’ away to begin with, and my new size and reach are 20’x20’ and 20’ respectively, so give a 5ft and the devils size should be all good as long as the orientation works.. and diagonal push should help if it isn’t perfect.
    If I risk pushing it out of reach, then I won’t use knockback.
