Right, but I think the HW is gonna end up as either a quagmire or extremely divided pizza pie so picking a side might not be wise. You'll either lose a lot and maintain status quo, lose a lot and then face a new status quo that may incur more loss, or stay out of it and deal with whatever the bloody aftermath entails. Just a thought from me, you can of course do as you please.

OK, assuming that Haldir doesn't suddenly whip up everything needed for his/her region (region 3), I'm getting 3! Yay! Just to be prepared, I have drawn up a chart short description of Nyroth and it's recently-of-age ruler. Sorry that it is not as elaborate as anyone else's description, but this will have to do...

TERRAIN

The majority of Nyroth is covered in forest, but the most prominent (tallest) feature is the Barli Mountain Range, which blocks off the majority of the Eastern Border. However, the most curious is Blackrock Crater, and it's pretty obvious what this is. Rumors have it that all who enter to mine it's rich minerals are never seen again. Survivors report a large monster (think Hydralisk) in the mist, but these people are quite insane and not trustworthy. Do not talk to them.

The residents of Nyroth feature silvery-white skinned humans with pink hair. They are extremely active at night, as they do not sleep and have developed night-vision. There are also tribes of lizardfolk in the forests and at the base of the mountains. These lizardfolk are loyal to the humans in every way, shape, and form. The lizardfolk serve as warriors while the humans take part in other affairs.

RESOURCES

All tradable resources in the region come from the forests, so, obviously, lumber is a primary export. But near the town of Lint (I'm not good with names), many forms of spices grow in the outskirts of the woods. These have a subtle scent that draw in moths from miles around. These moths' larvae produce a silky substance when cocooned, which, when woven, produces silk. Many other goods, such as metals and grains, are produced locally in low abundance. The Nyrothians are short on building materials and currently desire stone.

RELIGION

The majority of the population worships the Lord of Fire. The lizardfolk worship pagans of various purposes. The aristocracy worships a secret dualistic religion known as Lords of Knowledge and Night. However, the new queen, Cavindra Lilin, has plans to raise LoKaN (hey, that's a good name...) to the majority religion using unknown means.
EDIT: as of round 3, LoKaN is the majority religion among humans. The Lizardfolk still maintain their beliefs.

Cavindra Lilin is 16 years old. She has a 'disease' that prevents hormones from spreading after she turns 18. basically, she's a teenager forever. Her mother died ten years previously and, because Cavindra was not of age, the chamberlain, Antoln, took charge and started an era of diplomatic silence where nobody was allowed to enter or exit Nyroth (this explains the diplomatic unavailability due to not being present the first two rounds). As mentioned previously, Cavindra's main goal is to convert her subjects to LoKaN and get rid of the Lord of Fire's pressense in her lands.

Even though it messes with potential alliances I would have offered aid, but I can't. Maybe there is something else that could be one but then I won't really have enough actions to raise troops to defend my region, gain Faith 5 and activate it before Jaten dies and gain Curiosity 8 so my next ruler can get to Curiosity 10...

I have 2000 troops raised anyway. Those ones I trained this turn aren't coming, but I suppose they'll guard Razdis well enough.

We may not succeed vs the hordes of insect riders and ratmen, but we'll put up a fight. Who's with me, Fire worshipers or not?

Nice! Could you please edit into the post the link to the post in which you roll her stats? I'll be putting that into the rules as well, to make it easier on the co-GMs.

On that note, WaylanderX will be joining as co-GM alongside Wombat. He'll be handling the population and military things, while Wombat will handle ruler attribute scores, alliances and resources stuff. I'll be dropping those tasks from my own list of duties completely, other than the occasional check-up of the co-GMs.

I know the both of them well and they have my trust. They're capable, and I've yet to see either of them metagame in any game.

Except that one time during a LAN-party when Waylander kept watching my screen.

So is it safe to say that since rulers are born and die whenever we feel it's appropriate, changing rulers will from now on just require you to state that it is happening during a turn, and then use that new rulers stats from that turn forward?

Also, I'm working on compiling all the information on my nation so far into my nation post. I'm not sure if I have everything yet though... Has there been any headway on the template you mentioned might spring into existence?

Nice table! Another suggested thing is detailing how many a nation CAN have, by putting in a column stating what a 3rd of their population is, so people and you don't have to constantly do math, and instead, refer to the table.

Navies are handled differently. To have a battle at sea, you'd just put soldiers on ships you have built and send them out to fight.

We talked about the possibility of having marines on ships be a separate kind of unit, but I figured that that would provoke questions of "can't I just get those marines off my ship to fight on land?" And that would actually make kind of sense. Plus, then there'd have to be separate rules for getting land armies on transport ships to move to other places to land and conquer or colonize, which would be a whole trap that I don't want to get into.
